Re: New Avengers are very Dark Champions It's not just the "racist"-type thinking here. People are having sanctions and penalties imposed on them because of what they might do, because they happen to have been born with a certain trait... something over which they have no control. They are being penalized in advance of any crime, or decision to commit a crime. I happen to have a problem with that. And I'd like to think that the principles behind the laws of the the United States do, too... but apparently Marvel writers and editors (and some posters on this forum) seem to think otherwise.

The talk of the 150 point housewife reminds me of a rather bizzare incident from many years ago in a Champions game I was GMing... the PCs had been tangling with a rather Psych Lim -laden mentalist named "Psi Clone" who desperately wanted to be a brick, not a mentalist. He kept using tech that boosted physical strength and such, but didn't work well (Activation rolls). At one point, they managed to get ahold of the catalog of the place from which he'd been getting his equipment, and went to the address listed on the order form, prepared for battle. They didn't realize that Psi Clone had been getting his stuff from a parallel reality. So when the address turned out to be a tidy little home belonging to a little old lady (only drives her car to church on Sundays, bakes cookies type) they spent the better part of a game session trying to trip her up into admitting that she was some kind of evil technical genius, sneaking off to analyze the cookies she gave them for poisons or mutagenic chemicals or whatever instead of eating them, and so on and so forth. It was... amusing...

Re: Visa/Green Card I guess it really depends on how valuable you see it being, and how much of a difference it would make in your campaign... and that depends greatly on how you have your world and laws set up. For example, in the current Marvel America, I'd probably charge extra for it, given the political climate there now. In DC America, probably not. Overall, I'd consider it either equivalent in cost, or just part and parcel of it and not worry about it.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Our weather here has actually been a bit more stable that last spring. Last spring it was a nearly continuous cycle of bad thunderstorm, hail, hail, bad thunderstorm... with the odd tornado thrown in for seasoning...

Re: How to build: Traffic Light Changer Would they have a vulnerability or a susceptibility? Or maybe a physical lim the way a vampire dies when staked through the heart... amount of damage doesn't matter, the end effect just happens when the attack is applied, no matter how big or small...

Re: The Things That I've Learned Facing Bricks Not all bricks are as dumb as a box of rocks even if they are made out of rock. Don't count on an INT Drain to neutralize them. A number of bricks have a strong will (high EGO); don't count on an ECV entangle to neutralize them. A good way to neutralize many bricks is something to use at range to lift and keep them off the ground. If they can't move to get to you, or can't get leverage, they're pretty much hosed. A number of bricks can fly. Don't try the above with a brick that can fly. ... And what's the biggest thing I've learned facing bricks? It's much better if the brick is on YOUR side. Especially if the brick can fly, is NOT as dumb as a box of rocks (even if he is made out of rock), and has a strong will. Right, Balrog?
