wcw43921 reacted to Pariah in What Have You Watched Recently?
I'm not sure why I missed it the first time around - probably something to do with grad school and having kids and all that - but I finally watched Big Hero 6 the other night. It was quite good.

If Putin had bought from Acme I imagine Moscow would be burning right now.

Not to mention that the Coyote's technology has a tendency to fail at the most crucial moments. Very much like the Russian forces running out of gasoline and other supplies.

I still consider Classic Enemies the gold standard for Enemies books. Scott took characters, most of whose brief initial descriptions didn't go much beyond, "Embittered, he turned to a life of crime," and made them, well, characters.
Rest in peace, Mr. Bennie.

The coyote is technologically superior to the road runner and he always lost.

Ya know, there are these things called holsters?
Ya might've heard of 'em. . .

There's that little blurb on the lower left labeling this
mag as "A Thrilling Publication"--which I'm guessing
is the name of the publishing line. Which leads me
to imagine their slogan. . .
"If It's Chilling. . .It's THRILLING!"

I wonder why propeller driven cars never caught on?
They look like they'd be an awful lot of fun. . .

I posted the second picture in this Forum several years ago, but it's worth posting again to compliment the first picture. From the mind of Hugo Gernsback--if you're looking for a mechanical monster to terrorize your PCs, you can hardly do better than this--

Here's some Bad Guys for your Shadow/Spider/Black Bat emulators to contend against--
The outfits of the people being threatened put this, I think, in the
late Forties/early Fifties--but I can't see why someone couldn't use
this in the pre-World War II America.
