  1. Re: WWYCD: Holes in the story Adamant: Well, he ran a bakery for about a dozen years in 19th century London. Lars knows that these things happen. He'd go home and make his own jelly donuts (or pastry equivalent) if he really had a craving... he doesn't need to eat anyway, it's just for pleasure and to fit in. The Analogist: "I knew that already, based on last weeks' precipitation in Iowa" All the Rest: "Damn! Have you got any Bavarian Custard-filled?"
  2. Re: DC's turn toward the dark NIGHTWING #114 Written by Devin Grayson, art and cover by Phil Hester and Ande Parks. Nightwing is gone, and only Dick Grayson remains. He's been given a new costume and instructed to teach Deathstroke's daughter everything he knows. But Deathstroke is just waiting for an excuse to have Dick killed... 32 pages, $2.50, in stores on Nov. 9.
  3. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I'm scrimping and saving... soon I will have enough $ to purchase my character illustration. Muahahahaha!
  4. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money...
  5. Re: Supers and the law Pretty realistic, in that legal defense strategies which get convictions overturned based on 'loopholes' are pretty rare IRL. It happens, just not very often. Where the players are officers of the law, they may use the 'probable cause' rationale to pursue/investigate criminal activity. Where they're not, the actions they engage in are those of a private citizen and aren't subject to things like Miranda or needing a warrant. They ARE liable for their behavior, but if they're being 'good' the liability is largely subsumed by 'good samaritan' laws for the non-sanctioned heroes or by operating in the context of their job as peace officers for the sanctioned ones.
  6. Re: Supers and the law Varies wildly... from sanctioned law enforcement officers with all the procedural baggage that entails, to vigilantes hunted by the government. NorCal Heroes: In the PBEM I'm GMing, the players are deputized representatives of the California State Police. They are authorized to use lethal force under very very limited circumstances, as are the actual police (you can't just 'pop a cap' in a perp because he's stealing or whatever), they must turn captured villains over for arrest and trial, and they're subject to scrutiny by the media for their actions. It's going pretty well so far, everyone has been careful and are about to begin reaping the benefits of this. Adamant/Chemo/The Analogist: All are characters I run in the GGU PBEM, all are members of 'state-sanctioned' super teams. Adamant's in the Global Guardians (United Nations superhuman enforcement branch), Chemo's in the South Warriors (Latin American multi-national super team), the Analogist is in Canadian Shield (RCMP officers in a special branch). Vindicator: In the FtF game I'm a player in, Vindicator is in a 'dark version' of America, fighting the good fight against an 'Evil Oligarchy' which has suborned the nation via electoral fraud and through intimidation by their metahuman paramilitary forces and secret detention of political opponents. Sort of a 'Age of Apocalypse' but set in a contemporary world with some modification. As a hero, he's pretty much wanted by the federal authorities and quietly supported by most of the locals ('Robin Hood' syndrome).Vindicator Singularity: Is a superhero operating with the New York Knights hero group, though he hasn't formally joined it yet. He's not affiliated with a government or law-enforcement agency, and pretty much operates under the umbrella of 'citizen's arrest' in his confrontation of villains.
  7. Re: WWYCD: The Invasion Is On... Adamant: Would sigh, say "Here we go again" and ask the scout why the alien armada thought they would do any better than the last group to attempt this. He would remind the scout of the 'Terran Ultimatum' following the defeat of the last group of invaders in 1984 (essentially 'come in Peace, or leave in Pieces'). Then he'd make sure to get the data crystal to the rest of the Global Guardians, and get ready to beat the heck out of invading aliens. Chemo: Would freak out, get the crystal to the Global Guardians or a representative of Checkmate (the United Nations para-military/law enforcement branch), and try to make sure his family was safe. Then he'd hunker down and get ready to fight the invaders once they get on the ground, assuming the Guardians don't wipe the floors with them... The Analogist: Would rapidly determine based on the evidence avaliable the most probably course of action for the alien armada, develop a half dozen viable strategies to deal with this invading force, and turn them over to the authorities of every nation on earth, the United Nations, Checkmate, and the Global Guardians via a replicating computer e-mail. Then he'd throw the billions of dollars he's got into developing methods of minimizing civilian loss of life and ensuring a swift victory against the (soon to be toast) aliens. Singularity: "Aliens? Fascinating, do you think they'd let me look at their stellar cartography database?" Then he'd fight along with the others, if the aliens actually showed up. Probably with a very complex and highly detailed plan of attack, that might or might not survive the first contact with the enemy.
  8. Re: WWYCD: Life is but a Dream Adamant: Would wonder why he so clearly recalls the events of the past 178 years. He has no secret identity per se, so would be a little taken aback. His life experiences give him a rather odd array of skills (cowboy, prospector, dock worker, baker, chef, accountant, musician, etc) for someone who is only 25 or so. The fact he's not indestructible, immortal, and super-strong anymore would also take some getting used to. Definitely would keep digging, he's wealthy and physically only in his mid-twenties, he has time and resources. Might take a more active role in managing his charitable trust. The Analogist: Would almost instantly deduce what was going on from crop circle reports in New Mexico, weather pattern alterations in the subarctic, and recent changes on the stock exchange (or some other odd/unusual/seemingly irrelevant data). He's a little nutty, but utterly brilliant. Figuring out wierd mysteries with only his intellect is his schtick. He's ruthless and incredibly stubborn as well, and would never accept the reality that was being imposed on him. Singularity: Would get back to his life as a professor at Princeton. He'd assume it was a psychotic episode, and try to put it behind him asap. His wife and daughter are the focus of his life anyway, this would only put his 'hobby' of being a super-hero aside (was risky anyway). Chemo: Would be relieved that Chile was no longer under the thumb of the evil Conquistador (no supers right?). Back to work as a Chemical Engineer, greatly relieved in the 'better world' he found himself in.
  9. Re: DC's turn toward the dark I think it's a huge... HUGE... mistake.
  10. Re: Supervillains and the death penalty Barring some sort of (extremely rare) psychological limitation of the 'casual killer' or 'no regard for human life' sort, I'd expect heroes in my campaigns to at a minimum have a 0 point 'reluctant to kill'. Lethal force for superheroes is rare (as in, it doesn't happen even every other session... probably no more often than once per 1-2 campaign years), and requires pretty significant extenuating circumstances of the sort that no other option was avaliable. Supervillains are as susceptible to capital punishment as any other group of individuals in my campaigns. And just as IRL, capital punishment isn't handed out for 'armed robbery' or 'vandalism'... try 'murder with special circumstances' before I'm likely to go there. Also, things like wealthy villains hiring attorneys can influence outcomes (getting lifetime imprisonment rather than death for instance). I've executed one supervillain I can recall, that being Scorpia of Terror Inc. for her murder of a federal agent (Foresight). Her clone took her place several months later, and the players were fine with that (after all, Scorpia was dead... the clone was a new being who just happened to have her appearance and abilities).
  11. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money... I'm conversant with what a WWYCD thread is... just missed the point where it degenerated into how the characters would react/fight with one another. My impression was that this thread was about how individual poster's characters would react to the mercenary 'shades of gray' types grabbing up a terrorist for the reward money. Seems to me that this thread strays perilously close to NGD territory however... especially with the assertions regarding people's perceptions (and opinions of others' perceptions) of the United States Government/POTUS. Just my humble opinion... pray continue.
  12. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money... I'm confused... are St. Barbara, Cobalt, Caliber, Starguard, Dr. Pain, etc. in the same campaign? 'Cause if the assumption is that all the supers responding to the thread are present, that all their reactions are occuring at once, I'd have to go with the instant "Get the President to safety! These hotheads are going to go postal any second!" reaction. Anytime you've got 15+ superhumans arguing in a public venue, the genre convention of 'large scale super-battle' is only a couple panels away....
  13. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money... I disagree with your characterization of St. Barbara's actions. Firstly, it would depend on whether in the campaign world her character is in the terrorist leader could get a fair trial in the U.S., it's entirely possible this is not the case. Secondly, the role of the United States on the world stage likely also varies wildly between campaign settings - ranging from 'only just and responsible world superpower fighting the good fight' to 'reckless loose cannon bunch of cowboys throwing their weight around'. Heck from what I've read on the GGU board it seems they are largely suborned by the world's largest criminal organization (Tarot) in that setting and that the POTUS is a figurehead. Also, there's a great deal of difference between 'rolling their eyes at her' and 'trying to blast her into orbit'. The former is something I'd expect one to ignore... the latter invites any level of response up to and including fighting back. The former seems reasonable and appropriate from those holding disparate viewpoints, while the latter is an exercise in juvenile 'my character can beat up your character because I don't agree with what you're saying'. If the PCs in question don't occupy the same campaign setting, it would be better just to not respond to statements you disagree with, since they don't exist in your campaign universe - or take it to NGD.
  14. Ok, so here's my Chilean Metamorph 'Chemo' (shorthand for Química Organismo - yes I know, I know... I'll try to get it changed to Qemo maybe, I haven't decided yet). He's an obvious 'homage' to Metamorpho, and a member of the GGU's South Warriors (as of about a week ago). Anyway, thoughts on how I can develop his multipower with additional chemical 'tricks' he'd commonly be able to utilize would be appreciated - I was thinking Freon/'Canned Heat' effects as a new multipower slot, maybe some 'variable sfx' energy blast, but haven't gotten much beyond that. EDIT: It occurs to me I should encourage people to check out Jack Butler's Global Guardians Universe PBEM homepage Global Guardians Character Name: Chemo Real Name: Bernardo Denestro Concept: Metamorph Player Name: James Diel Nationality: Chilean Hair/Eye Color: Brown/Brown Place of Birth: Valparaiso, Chile Date of Birth: November 23, 1977 Height/Mass: 1.8 meters tall/ 96.5 kilograms Background Information: Bernardo grew up in a moderate income portion of Valparaiso, the child of a government waste-water administrator and a public school teacher. His childhood was pleasant and unremarkable, and Bernardo showed an aptitude for the physical sciences from an early age, and quickly gravitated towards various applied sciences (especially Chemistry). He was awarded a modest scholarship and graduated from the Universidad de la Chile at the top of his class. Bernardo’s super-human abilities manifested themselves shortly after he began working as a chemical engineer for the Conquistador’s large multi-national corporation in Santiago, just after graduating. The metamorphic polymer his team was working on was inadvertently exposed by one of his colleagues to highly unstable radiological materials, resulting in a massive explosion. Working diligently, he was able to rescue over a dozen trapped, burned, and poisoned colleagues while working in conjunction with the rescue crews. Bernardo found that he now had the ability to radically alter his body’s structure, transforming not only his shape, but his chemical composition to a variety of substances. He’d always wanted to help others, inspired by tales of the Global Guardian heroes, especially those featuring Lumina, the abuses of Conquistador’s fascist super-dictatorship, and the horrors of the Xorn invasion to realize that all the peoples of the Earth needed those willing to protect them from the dangers which lurked in the world. Bernardo enthusiastically embraced his newfound powers, determining to flee Chile rather than risk drawing the Conquistador’s attention to his family. Crossing the Andes with his new found abilities was no great task, and he acted for the next several years as a superhero in neighboring Buenos Aires, Argentina. During this period, he adopted the identity of ‘Chemo’ and worked actively with local law enforcement, developing a reputation as a force to be reckoned with as well as the enmity of various organized crime families. When word reached him that the South Warriors were recruiting new members for a new regional super-team, Chemo jumped at the opportunity. His departure from the local police force was met with mixed sorrow and relief by his former colleagues, as though the officers found him likeable enough his incessant wisecracking and unnerving powers had a tendency to be rather ‘off putting’. His parents are incredibly proud of him, and he hopes one day to see them live free outside of Chile’s borders. Chemo is ready for action, standing tall and working to defend all the peoples of Latin America. Quote: "Easy there amigo… don’t get all bent out of shape. That’s my job" Personality: Bernardo is a friendly, extroverted young man who is highly motivated to ‘serve and protect’ the normal people he encounters every day. In many ways he is naïve, tending to see the best in others and overlooking the more unpleasant aspects of what is going on around him. Despite this eternal optimism, he’s more than willing to roll up his sleeves and ‘get his hands dirty’ if he feels the cause is just (and he usually does). He has learned to manage his anxiety in combat situations by bantering with his opponents, making self-deprecating jokes, and generally being a ‘combat comedian’ (occasionally to the annoyance of his teammates). Bernardo is confident, cheerful, and enjoys social gatherings of all sorts. Appearance: Bernardo is a muscular, athletic, attractive Hispanic male who appears to be in his early twenties. He has brown eyes and straight dark brown hair, which he keeps cut at medium length and parted on one side. In his 'hero identity', Chemo wears red and white trunks and little else as his transformations tend to be hard on his apparel. His physical form morphs into a variety of different substances during combat, from fizzing green acids to searing golden flames to shining silver metal in the blink of an eye, demonstrating unnatural elasticity and resilience regardless of chemical composition. Powers: Chemo has developed near-absolute mastery over his body’s chemical and structural composition, transforming at will from flesh-and-blood to a wide variety of solvents, metals, vapors, and fluids, and changing shape at his mental command as well. Initially, he was limited to two or three forms (fire, metal, and inert gas), but has since moved beyond this to a much wider application of his power. He can become choking, caustic gas to incapacitate an opponent, then transform into an enveloping metallic prison around them (his ‘metal form’ plus his ‘enveloping strength’ are a potent combination); or burst into flame, then flow through a crack in a wall as a cloud of vapor. The possibilities available offer him a potent array of responses to adversaries, and as he grows in skill his knowledge as a chemist proves increasingly useful in determining new applications of his abilities. 15. Re: WWYCD: We're here for the reward money... Adamant: Adamant's actions would depend on the status of the 'shades of gray' types. If they're wanted in a signatory state's jurisdiction by any of the U.N. branches, say... well they're going down fast. Checkmate and the Global Guardians have extradition treaties with every major global power, and he'd be enforcing them lickety split (while ensuring the safe evacuation of the POTUS from the combat zone - I would think in conjunction with the Secret Service). Likely with the assistance of whatever Global Guardians are on site or readily avaliable via megascale teleport. Given that 'Terrorist Mastermind Dude' is wanted by the U.S., one of the signatory states in question - he would certainly honor their arrest of the criminal in question and defer to the local authorities. Equal treatment of all member nations, after all, and however he got there the criminal is in U.S. jurisdiction now. Besides, if the bad guy is all that nasty he's probably going to end up in a U.N. detention facility anyway. Or working for the Damocles Directive, but Adamant wouldn't know that... If the mercs have been operating legally, however shady their style, he'd roll his eyes at the poseurs and ignore their grandstanding. Adamant's got nothing to prove to anybody, and given that he's nigh indestructible (a tactical-sized nuclear device won't do the job) he's unlikely to allow explicit or implicit threats to sway his actions. He'll do what he feels is right as a representative of the Global Guardians, weighing the outcome carefully and preferring non-violent solutions whenever possible. Chemo: As a Chilean, Chemo would have no reason to be in the presence of the POTUS. He'd certainly not interfere with the activities of these goons, up in Los Estados Unidos, and would return to South America asap. Norte Americanos make him nervous, and when he gets nervous he tends to change his chemical composition randomly causing all manner of mayhem ('oops, didn't mean to set that futon on fire, lo siento senor!'). Singularity Would ignore them, he generally doesn't start conflicts. If they get abusive, he'd leave via 'wormhole' teleportation. If they threaten anyone, he'd try to talk them down, failing that he'd ramp up his mass and get to opening a can of whoopa$$ on those sorry chumps.
  16. Re: So...what "Brick Tricks" or "Speed Tricks" would you give The Super clan? I read that one... 'Public Enemies' (Batman/Superman). Lex Luthor as POTUS = America doesn't have the same ideals as Superman. I was pretty satisfied with the outcome there, actually. 'Thanks Superman, for saving us from Luthor's despotic regime!'
  17. Re: So...what "Brick Tricks" or "Speed Tricks" would you give The Super clan? Here's some of those 'further thoughts'... -Freeze Breath/Super Breath (selective between wind & cold 'sfx') -Crazy tunneling (either 'spin' or 'super smash through') -Massive Change Environment Powers or Megascale Transform to simulate environmental changes (I can recall his creating a hurricane on Titan, and negating various natural disasters such as Earthquakes and Volcanoes at various points) -Extra strength for lifting, throwing, etc. Probably with a Megascale modifier option (he can throw things into Orbit, move near planetary masses, etc). -Wonky sensory abilities (X-ray vision, microscopic vision, telescopic vision, full EM spectrum perception, HRRH for television & radio etc, ultrasonic hearing, 'super hearing', super-sensitive touch, etc etc etc) -And all of his mighty powers become all the more potent when used in conjunction with one another (for example, he's performed X-ray vision/heat vision brain surgery before to temporarily remove an opponent's powers vs. Manchester Black) -Super fast versions of just about any task (maybe lots of Overall Levels vs. time modifiers so he can just make a massive roll to do almost anything in one phase) Those are all that spring to mind at the moment.
  18. Re: Street Level NYC heros Pulse - Devin Bergstrauss was born near Dusseldorf, Germany in 1921 where he grew to adulthood. Drafted into service during World War II, Devin found himself wounded in northern France in 1943, and fleeing the allied forces. Stumbling into a ruined monastary, he was tended by the monks who concealed him during the final days of the conflict. Devin spent several years with these kindly men, who invested the disillusioned warrior with their sense of purpose, faith, and devotion to the cause of good. He left them in the early 1950s, beginning travels across Europe and northern Africa as a “gentleman adventurer” and scholar. During his travels Devin studied archaeology and occult lore, clashed with the predecessors of DEMON and other forces of darkness, and discovered a damaged Lyonessan powerstone in a crumbling temple in Egypt. Recognizing the latent power of this discovery, Devin returned to the monks for advice on how to proceed. Dark followers of the long banished Lords of Edom trailed him to the hidden monastary, and the ensuing conflict slew several of the monks and badly injured Devin’s mind. The surviving monks used the energies of the powerstone in order to save his life, an arrangement that provided Devin several fortuitous but unexpected side effects. Now linked to the stone, he has ceased to age appreciably (perhaps one year for the passage of a thousand is his best estimate), and may tap into it’s diminished energies to produce a variety of startling mystical effects. In the decades since then, he has traveled many lands, adopting several identities (during the cold war he fought alongside several “Silver Age” superheroes in Europe as Sonnenstern, then dropped from sight for a decade only to return stateside as Liberator in the late 1970s). Devin owns a small brownstone and runs an antique shop in New York. Currently, he has adopted the name of Pulse, and in this fresh persona continues his unending battle against evil on the streets of his adopted city. Zephyr - Bill Renvold grew up in San Diego, where his parents still live. He did well enough at school, graduating with a degree in Business Administration from NYU. Bill was coasting through life, moving into a position with the human resources department of a Manhattan publishing company... most people thought things were looking pretty decent for Bill. Except for the fact he was bored to death. Bill’s latent mutant powers had kicked in during those college years, and events around him now moved with the speed of molasses in winter. Waiting in line at a grocery store was an excercise in patience, while the Department of Motor Vehicles was now something he avoided at all costs. He adopted the identity of Zephyr shortly after moving to the west Bay Area, and has fought crime all over the state of New York since doing so. Early in his career, Zephyr rescued the wife of a wealthy industrialist, who gifted him with the bullet-roof “speed suit” he now wears (and who continues to provide for regular maintenance of it as well). Zephyr is having the time of his life, and cannot imagine doing anything else! Gorgon - Carole Reihms had always dreamed of following in her father’s footsteps and becoming a law enforcement officer. Her dad was a good cop, a great father, and she and her sister were both stunned and traumatized when he was killed in the line of duty during a drug store robbery while she was in high school. Carole grew increasingly determined to “make a difference”, and went to CSU, Sacramento where she majored in Criminology. After a stint with the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Department, she was wounded in a shootout while busting a meth lab. Carole realized that she would need more than a badge to truly impact the criminals who had killed her father and continued to terrorize innocent people. She began to evaluate what would be necessary for her to make a difference in the shadows, as a vigilante. Five more long years passed, and Carole had greatly expanded her repertoire of skills, had acquired some equipment through black market channels and crafted some as well, and had transferred to the New York Police Department where she’d been promoted to the rank of Detective. Now she was ready to take the battle to the streets in a new identity, as a creature of legend whose name would evoke terror in the superstitious criminals of the city... as Gorgon! Singularity - Dr. David Somner is considered one of the leading minds in the study of astrophysics, especially in the area of experimental models in the field of quantum mechanics. By age 25 he had achieved his second doctorate, he had post-doctorate work widely published and became a tenured Professor at Princeton by 32. Dr. Somner has numerous awards, several unique patents, and is a generally famed and respected member of the scientific community. Dr. Somner has a secret. Aside from his academic achievements, his fulfilling home life with his wife Rebecca (a professor in the Geosciences department) and precocious daughter Yvette, and the regular public speaking engagements, David has discovered something else that struck him as something of a surprise. He’s a superhero. When developing a prototype spectral analysis device for measuring the gas readings of distant astronomical structures, there was an accident... the device drew amazing amounts of power from the electrical grid of the entire northeastern portion of the United States, collapsing in on itself in a wild conflagration that enveloped David and hurled him across the room. The specific “distant astronomical structure” being measured was what is suspected to be a “supermassive black hole”, and somehow a linkage developed between David Somner and this distant cosmic force. He found himself able to increase his specific mass, become diffuse and intangible, and sense or manipulate the mass of other objects at range. Taking a sabbatical (something the other faculty considered long overdue), he spent some time at the family’s Appalachian lodge (having multiple patents pays rather nicely) to develop control over these abilities. David has achieved much in his life, but now is surprised at the pleasure his direct actions give him as Singularity. Prism - A crystalline lifeform from another world, gifted with amazing powers over the light spectrum, Prism has befriended a small group of youth in Brooklyn during his exile to Earth. At their urging, he battles crime while attempting to learn more about the strange creatures he now lives among. I've got 350 point writeups for all of them but Prism (he's 372, and is a 4ed write up) if you end up wanting any. Just PM me.
  19. Re: Batman VS Captain America! yeah right... Black Adam
  20. Re: So...what "Brick Tricks" or "Speed Tricks" would you give The Super clan? I'd say that to 'accurately' design Superman, you'd just about have to include a VPP on top of a Multipower... or have a very lenient GM with a very high end 'Powers Tricks' roll (probably several for the different 'sfx'). Commonly used tricks include: -Welding with heat vision -Super accurate throwing/hitting/movement -Various 'super speed' tricks ("I put those cotton balls in your ears while moving through the ship so your hearing wouldn't be damaged, Lois") -He's used the 'hit and gone so fast you can't even see him' in numerous comics -The usual cornucopia of 'brick tricks' There's more, but Superman:the Animated Series is about to start on Boomerang. I'll post further thoughts later...
  21. Re: Alternate Earth: Superman 2005 Hmmm... not bad, not bad. But something seems to be missing. I got it! How about something like - this?
  22. Re: Alternate Earth: Superman 2005 Best case scenario? He gets his powers from Earth's yellow sun, wears a blue body suit with red cape, and has all the traditional super powers. Raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent to have strong moral values and be an iconic representation of all that is Good... you know, Truth, Justice, and the American Way/Hope. Since super-heroes have never been presented, it'd be just as likely that the origin/powers/appearance would be as they originally were depicted. Assuming you get a creative team with the vision and creativity of Siegel & Shuster to do it. Worst case scenario? He wears a kewl black & silver bodysuit, gets his powers from radiation/toxic waste/is bitten by a radioactive wombat while struck by lightning, and his powers are something SUPER L33T! Like he shoots knives out of his hands and heals when people cut him up! Yeah baby! His code of morality could be something awesome like "kill em first... I'm the best there is at what I do!" And we'd need him to fight a giant mechanical spider right off the bat, 'cuz spiders are the most savage killers in the $%@@ animal kingdom! Ewwwwwww...
  23. Re: What Would Your Character Do #33 Adamant would certainly be concerned about the socio-political implications of such a stance. He's a devout Christian as well, but since he's pretty vehemently Protestant, the specific stance of the Pope isn't all that relevant to his own views on the subject... after all, he's more concerned with the five Solas than the statements of any one religious leader. Also, he's spent over 150 years considering this subject given his abiding focus on theology and philosophy - so is unlikely to agree given his own beliefs on the subject. Vindicator wouldn't give a flying turd on the subject. Chemo as a Catholic would be extremely concerned regarding this issue, something along the lines of "I don't have a soul?! Gah! When did that happen?" Heh.
  24. Re: ARAGENT Super Villians I'm thinking Laser, Blowtorch, Ladybug, Beamline. I love the Avar-VIII idea.
  25. Re: Build your own "New Avengers"! Captain America Thor Iron Man Wonder Man Vision Hawkeye Edit: oh, and the Scarlet Witch... can't believe I forgot Wanda.
