  1. The other problem with HAP is that it rewards individualism and judicious spending of HAPs over teamwork and coordination. When players sit down to play a game, they're not playing a bunch of individuals. They're playing a superhero TEAM. Characters with HAPs tend to be less creative with the use of their powers, don't think around situations as much, and try to brute force situations way too often.
  2. I loathe heroic action points. Combat resolution already takes long enough without rerolling dice. We need to reduce combat time. Not increase it.
  3. Wow. This is actually fairly exciting. Keep the votes coming in. Feel free to discuss possibilities and mention things that you want. No campaign sourcebook is ever truly complete, but I'll try to make whatever you guys choose as complete as possible.
  4. By the way, feel free to talk about the choices as well. Remember that after something's picked, I'll give people a deadline to request things they want to see.
  5. Due to management decisions, A Bridge Too Far has been tabled until later. Work on Imperial Throne will begin immediately. However, I will need to know what you folks want after I finish Imperial Throne. 6. I've run this. But I've never played it. It's fantastic. An obscure company called Atlas Games published a Champions adventure called Blood Fury. It is genius. Look it up.
  7. Art continues to trickle in. We're about halfway through the list of depictions.
  8. Hey. It could be worse. Egg Fu vs. The Young Guns of Navarone.
  9. Dear Bolo of Earth, You will believe anything after I hacked your computer! The glorious sound of Harmonious Fist ringing your doorbell while you were out proved to be most fortuitous. I apologize for Fast Eddie's lack of proper bathroom use, but he did drink all of your soda. We watched the playoffs in your living room. BWAHAHAAHHA! All the while this sows the seeds of my glorious master plan! Yours in description of your glorious incompetence! Sincerely, Foxbat P.S. I have stolen all of your soap! Bathe now, base coward! BWAHAHAHAHAAAA!
  10. Yeah. Character art and the actual maps weren't factored into that page total, either. This thing is BIG.
  11. Today, at 9:28 AM, Journey to the Center of the Earth was completed. Thank you all for following this thread. The supplement weighs in at 162870 words, 323 pages, with 120 pages of maps, map keys and fluff and 203 pages of character sheets and information (Plus a ton of plot seeds and options)
  12. We are working on open/closed knowledge now. This should be done within two days, completing Journey to the Center of the Earth.
  13. The New Blackburn section is done. That leaves the following The Tent Market. (Yes. Taunt me. I do not care.) The history of the PTAH Underground Response Team and Open/Closed Knowledge. I believe that's it. We are nearly there. We should be done by the end of the week at the latest.
  14. The Cult of the Ebon Flame at the Center of the Earth section is done. That leaves us with about four sections left.
  15. No. That's just what they calll a gathering of merchants they won't let into the city proper.
  16. Due to general sadness and everyone's kind tolerance, I busted my hump tonight to get this Laws of Magic section done. We're on page 316. The remaining sections are Cult of the Ebon Flame at the Center of the Earth New Blackburn New Blackburn Tent Market PTAH Underground Response Team Discovery By the Surface World (Open Knowledge/Limited Knowledge) That's it.
  17. When a genetically engineered supragenius moves to Hawaii, he becomes the world's greatest detective to ever threaten the Federation! Wrath of Charlie Chan!
  18. Sorry about the further delays, everyone. The section on the Laws of Magic is taking up scads of time and space, and we're looking at a completion date sometime in January at this point. I offer apologies, but fortunately, we're still on Jason's schedule. Michael
  19. Will there be a hardcopy of this, or is this PDF only? I would love to pick it up right now, but if there's going to be a hardcopy, I would rather own that.
