  1. Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs Good question, but seeing as he's still active after his head was shot off I would think they'd still be after him (or possibly the FBI with Berkeley).
  2. Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs Looks very good so far, however how's this for another Disad: 25 So the CIA decided they wanted Roland dead Hunted CIA 11- (Mo Pow, NCI, Harshly Punish)
  3. Re: Affects Real World (+2) I find invisible super-ninjas too cheesy to let live. Don't usually find them in the games I play.
  4. Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs You've got Mr. Bad Example, but what about Roland? We need Norway's bravest son
  5. Re: Best and Worst Costume/Appearance Changes The really sad thing is that when a buddy of mine said he was about to start a JLA/Avengers type campaign two of the players' first thought of a character was Dazzler.
  6. Re: Character: Conan the Cimmerian Awesome-- And I just picked up the new release in that Del Rey series on Friday--- KULL! (wondering when we'll see our favorite Atlantean Exile)
  7. Re: Best and Worst Costume/Appearance Changes Cos' costume was one of the worst-- but a lot of the others were very good.
  8. Re: Best and Worst Costume/Appearance Changes Lightning Lad going from the Caped costume with the orange legs to the one that Cockrum designed in the early 70's. That was one of the best superhero costumes ever.
  9. Re: The best retcons of all time I liked it when they decided Validus of the Fatal Five was really the child of Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. Of course I'm also one who believes just about everything done with the Legion from the Five Year Gap onward was a mistake.
  10. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTY -- What Would You Like To See? mmmmmmmmmmmmm........ Vancouver maybe?
  11. Re: Zombie Nazis in the Desert! ...and they smell better than zombies
  12. Re: Whould you buy...CHAMPIONS SOUTH OF THE BORDER and CHAMPIONS OF THE RISING SUN. Not too stoked by either of them, some interest in Japan but it's been so overdone in so many genres that my eyes tend to glaze over at the thought. Not much interest in Mexico/South America but if it covered the whole continent it could be interesting.
  13. Re: Nightman and Nightgirl It might be cool, though I don't think it fits the rest of the genre tropes to have a pocket universe. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the next step in the evolution of the idea you had about moving Batman to Pittsburgh?
  14. Re: Genre Conventions 2: What is Cool? As Starblaze said REH is cool. Lieber's Fafhrd and Mouser are cool. Batman done well is cool.
  15. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH -- What Would You Like To See? Maybe the Mark2 was completed, then heavily modified.
  16. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH -- What Would You Like To See? Please, never tell a Canadian the Arrow was not cancelled. It was. They had five aircraft built and flying, but because they decided to go with the US Bomarc option (never actually put into service) and neither the US nor Britain would buy any aircraft the program was cancelled and every single CF-105 cut into pieces with chainsaws. Given that Bomarc never did go into service, the likelihood is the Arrow would have done a fine job for a number of years. However, if that had occured it is possible that Project Apollo may not have succeeded as most of Avro Canada's engineering staff ended up at NASA.
  17. Re: What Do Active Points Represent To You? When you apply them to the defenses, they both have the same effect; hence the same active points.
  18. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Never there bellhop - They ring for him, you turn your head, your bags are gone. Get to the room, open the door, close it, and when you turn around they are in the middle of the room. And weren't when you opened the door.
  19. Re: Need an organization name I like "The Tomorrow Foundation" although there are a number of very good choices on the list. I don't think an acronym would really fit that well, though that may be a personal quirk. I do like the idea of them introducing themselves with, "Hi, we're from Tomorrow." Perhaps the Seldon Foundation, or even Serendipity. Lots of ideas out there.
  20. Re: Thrilling Places! Ahh that explains why my FLGS didn't get it-- ok once the budget recovers I'll probably order it directly (or with Masterminds and Madmen hint, great idea for a bundle).
  21. Re: Thrilling Places! Sales are important. That's why I went and bought the Thrilling Places PDF and why the next time I have spare money I'll grab the book and Masterminds and Madmen. Those of us who like Pulp have to vote with our dollars.
  22. Re: What Do Active Points Represent To You? Active points quantify effect; real points quantify cost. Really, that's it.
  23. Re: Which characters would you enjoy playing? I'm another where the 4E Dark Champions version of Crusader would be my favorite hero to play. Villains, either Grond or Black Harlequin.
  24. Re: Chat tonight Well, the timing tonight was utterly execrable. At 5:55 I was sitting there waiting to load up chat and the phone rang: My ex. No sooner do I get off the phone with her than I have to go out with the GF and her daughter for dinner. End of story, no chat for me.
  25. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Awwww, don't you think Mechanon and Takofanes would make a cute couple?
