  1. Let's see. Pencil in 5 minute hate for Jhamin for getting it before me. Nothing personal, but I must purge the green-eyed monster lest it fester inside me. Wait! Possible entry for MMM2?
  2. Most of these could also be made into popup ads. I've also heard of a new type called a blare-out ad. You sit quietly, browsing the internet when suddenly, without warning, your computer speakers blare out an audio-only ad. To add insult to injury, you can't close them like a popup ad. They just run their course. I heard a radio host complain about one of these. He wanted to send his cleaning bill to the ad's sponsor. Imagine sitting at your computer when suddenly: TREMBLE IN FEAR BEFORE THE WRATH OF DESTROYER!!! Yes, folks. That's just what ol' Doc Destroyer's voice would sound like through our new Maxima car stereo system. New at CarToys!
  3. I never heard of a lich that wasn't withered and dry. Stop showin' off usin' them big fancy words, Steve. It ain't fair to us'n that gawt our edgycation at th' public skools.
  4. The Fantasy Hero Grimoire has a spell to create a wight, but I couldn't find stats for it in the Bestiary. Am I looking in the right place? Also, CKC describes Takofanes as a sere lich. Is this something unique to the Turakian Age?
  5. If you search the internet long enough for game ideas or just character illo ideas, you will come across a subgenre of bondage fiction known as superheroines in peril. Not at all family-friendly.
  6. Re: Re: Re: Re: Whatcha sayin Steve, I got no life? I know what you mean. It's probably just my dislike of and cynicism toward the real-world UN, but I have a hard time picturing a UN organization that has the kind of credibility UNTIL is supposed to have. I understand that it's a genre convention and some such response would be made to the emergence of high-powered superhumans, but I picture Interpol as having more relevance, credibility, and prestige than a UN org in such a world. That's why I look forward to seeing a good rationale for UNTIL.
  7. Mine's still in good condition. My favorites are Sarge and "Crystal" Vosser. Their quotes are irresistable.
  8. Coolness: I'm torn between gadgeteer and speedster. Sex Appeal: Martial Artist(they're so flexible!) or mystic(he's so mysterious!) Trust: The Brick. Joe Average made larger than life.
  9. In Disney's Blackbeard's Ghost, a mob boss wanted to run the Daughters of the Buccaneers off their little island hotel because in 200 years nobody resolved which state's jurisdiction it fell under. The mob boss thought that would make it perfect for his new illegal gambling casino. I thought it was an interesting way for a villain to operate openly but keep the government tied up in court.
  10. Project: Aegis Project: Dreamcatcher
  11. It's at home so I can't refer to it, but in one of the JLA comics Batman said something like "There are only a few kinds of Good, so Evil gets sloppy and lazy. On the other hand, there is an infinite variety of Evil to fight. So Good always develops more ways to win.
  12. You do realize, don't you, that you will soon die of an apparent accident?
  13. Re: Re: Re: Omlevex Universe THANKS!
  14. Re: Omlevex Universe FOX Announces First Ever 'Superhero' Soap November 2, 2006 Today, FOX announced that a new daily show is being developed for the Fall 2007 lineup. Tentatively titled To Save The World, the show will be based around the triumphs and tribulations, both personal and professional, of a team of superheroes based in the fictional Millenium City. Millenium City is built on the ruins of Detroit after its destruction at the hands of the supervillain Dr. Destroyer. Darren Watts, president of Defenders of Justice, Inc. and co-producer, said, “The great popularity of the Hero System in general and Champions in particular made it inevitable that a show based on our role-playing system would be made. I believe that this show will help break down some of the barriers that separate people by introducing the Champions Universe to people who might otherwise dismiss it as ‘uncool’ or ‘nerdy’.†FOX spokesmen refused to either confirm or deny rumors that another Hero-inspired show called The Empire Club is being developed with the help of British writer Alan Moore. In a related story, Rev. Bobby Wayne of Hot Springs, AK led a burning of Defenders of Justice, Inc. products after a rumor circulated that the Hero System Line Developer, Steven S. Long, declared that the Hero System was “more popular than Jesus.†Both Messrs. Long and Watts have vigorously denied this. Watts was quoted saying, “We at DOJ, Inc. believe that not only is there no competition between religion and gaming, but that both can and should co-exist comfortably. While we like publicity as much as any other successful business, we want to build bridges rather than burn them.â€
  15. This is the perfect companion to the UNTIL Superpowers Database. Great job! Now I just need my Ultimate fix. Ultimate Mystic and Ultimate Mentalist 5th edition!!!!!
  16. PsychLim: Bishop: "You see, Blackadder, I am a colossal pervert. There's no depth of sexual depravity I won't stoop to. Animal, vegetable, or mineral -- I'll do anything to anything. Blackadder: "Yes, well, it's nice to see the church taking a position on social issues."
  17. I don't know what you mean. As far as my congregation knows, my only vice is a little tipple before Evensong!
  18. Re: Faith vs. Religion... Oh, yeah? Um, um, well in my world Democrats have sold their souls to the devil and moderates are doing it on the installment plan while gawdless communists eat away at our country's foundations like termites! Just like in Washington, D.C.! On a slightly more serious note, there's the comic Warrior Nun Areala by Antarctic Press. The creator once said that he got petitioned by a NYC order of nuns that practice karate and tai kwon do(WE:Ruler?). They objected to Areala's revealing habit. He eventually changed it. Didn't those nuns have any compassion for the world's nun fetishists?
  19. I got mine yesterday and read through everything but the base descriptions. I like "Nest Leading for Dummies"! The idea of an immortal patron keeping VIPER on track through the centuries is much better than relying on selfish, fractious mortals to do so, IMO. Great job! Steve-- I caught the hint that the Death Dragon is manipulating VIPER. Do you anticipate elaborating on this in the future?
  20. Re: Viper... In my hot little hands Mr. Blue, I'm surprised at you for purchasing such a book! It has been well established in both Seduction of the Innocent and Mazes and Monsters that comic books and so-called "role-playing" games warp people's minds. Oh well, ten years hard labor should set your mind back on the path of good citizenship. I'll just take that book of yours into "protective custody". Mr. Blue, stop struggling. You're only making it worse for yourself. How do you expect to get better if you cling to this filth? Let go now! Stop kicking me! Guard, a little help, if you please...
  21. Does anyone know why Grundy was obsessed with stealing Superman's cape?

  23. Unfortunately, your omnipotence doesn't extend beyond the the Champions Universe. Hmmmm, a special project for Ben when he gets back?
