  1. It's been something like 8 years for me since I last ate a corn dog. I can't remember when I had one before that, possibly never*. *Mom hated them, and wouldn't serve 'em. And I certainly wouldn't have received one when we were eating out.
  2. It was good to see Julio Mendez again, and now promoted to Captain.
  3. The Incredible Hulk was basically The Fugitive with anger management issues, and no one-armed man.
  4. "Ghostbusters: Answer the Call": I enjoyed it. It's not quite as good as the original for me, but better than "Ghostbusters II".
  5. Super Mario theme. It somehow got stuck in my head while I was showering.
  6. Peter Gabriel's Passion. Society of Sound presented a 96kHz/24-bit version for subscribers as their 100th album available for download.
  7. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, No matter where they've been. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, But only when they're green. He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, No matter where they've been. He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, But only when they're green. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, That is what I said. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, But not when they are red. He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, That is what he said. He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, He likes traffic lights, But not when they are red. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, Although my name's not Bamber. I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I like traffic lights, I...Oh God!
  8. About 15 minutes into Tomita's Pictures at an Exhibition, Windows 10 popped up a message: "Are you having sound problems? Open the audio troubleshooter". Apparently, it's not a fan of 70s synthesizers.
  9. Clair de Lune Ultimate Edition (SACD Quad mix) by Tomita.
  10. Your figure like your friendship Gradually grows and grows The clothes that you thought that you'd shrunk Their size just froze When the body that you thought of as yours Just ups and goes I'll be happy with the weight Of the partner that I chose Your quick-step is slower But your spirit's still out on the floor And you can still hack it 'Cause you know what your feet are free for And I'll love my dear 'Til you can't tuck it in anymore, anymore Your second grey hair came a month After the first It didn't make you better But it didn't make you feel any worse Your third grey hair appeared With the fourth on your beard Your fifth, sixth, seventh sprouted out From your nose and your ears And I'll love you my partner 'Til you can't hide the grey anymore Your distinguished good looks Are the ones young girls cannot ignore And I'll love you my partner 'Til the grey hairs the hairdresser's floor Your eighth and your ninth and your tenth You just looked to the sky Like the charge of the Light Brigade Was passing you by Your quick-step is slower But your spirit's still out on the floor When it comes to raw beauty You've a whole whorehouse waiting in store Your corset has grown But you're still always first to the drawer And I'll love you my partner 'Til the grey hairs the hairdresser's floor
  11. The polls for most "battleground" or "swing" states are within the margin of error, and so are almost impossible to call (though the news outlets seem to ignore that fact). That said, the media are attempting to make the race look closer than it is by focusing on national polls and the polls in "battleground" states, rather than showing the likely Electoral College results. The magic number's 270, and there the advantage is with Hillary.
  12. I'm looking forward to this coming soon from the WB Animation Department:
  13. You can look at the menu but you just can't eat You can feel the cushions but you can't have a seat You can dip your foot in the pool but you can't have a swim You can feel the punishment but you can't commit the sin And you want her, and she wants you We want everyone And you want her, and she wants you No one, no one, no one ever is to blame You can build a mansion but you just can't live in You're the fastest runner but you're not allowed to win Some break the rules and live to count the cost The insecurity is the thing that won't get lost And you want her, and she wants you We want everyone And you want her, and she wants you No one, no one, no one ever is to blame You can see the summit but you can't reach it It's the last piece of the puzzle but you just can't make it fit Doctor says you're cured but you still feel the pain Aspirations in the clouds but your hopes go down the drain And you want her, and she wants you We want everyone And you want her, and she wants you No one, no one, no one ever is to blame No one ever is to blame No one ever is to blame
  14. General Zod: This "super-man" is nothing of the kind; I've discovered his weakness. Ursa: Yes? General Zod: He cares. He actually cares for these Earth people. Ursa: Like pets? General Zod: I suppose. Ursa: Sentimental idiot!
  15. The fundamental sin of BvS for me was that it was frequently boring. I watched a streaming version of it on an airplane flight, and frequently checked the progress bar just to see how much of it was left. Near the halfway mark, I was sorely tempted to abandon it, and watch something more entertaining. As far as Man of Steel goes, it wasn't necessarily a bad movie, but it certainly wasn't a good one, either. I've seen it once, and I really don't need to see it again. Snyder put a little too much Ayn Rand into Superman for my tastes, but I haven't really been a fan of his, anyway.
  16. I need to remember the day When we said goodbye for the very last time There was still so much to say But time came between us and quietly stole you away Let me remember the day We walk to the garden and sit for a while The hours are slipping away Still I try to hold them and freeze them in time So leave me believing we'll meet here again Promise me some kind of sign As each day turns into night I blow out the candle and turn down the sheet And now that you've risen so high I know that you watch over me as I sleep Always believing we'll meet up again Waiting for some kind of sign So now I remember the day When we said goodbye for the very last time But no one can take you away 'Cause here in my memories there's never a very last time Never a very last time...
  17. Don't worry, folks. I've taken a bullet for the team and tried one of these. I'd actually rate it slightly better than a regular Whopper with Cheese, though I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
  18. When I was young My father told me just bad guys die, At the time just a little white lie. It was one of the first but it hurt me the most, And the truth stung like tears in my eyes; That even the good guys must die. There's no reasoning, no crimes, and I never knew why. Even now, it still makes me cry.
  19. This is, of course, a picture of the Maestro conducting Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake".
  20. "Don't Let Him Steal Your Heart Away" by Phil Collins.
