Re: The cranky thread If you are going to my work zone to ask me if laptops are ready, you need to know the names of the folks for whom those laptops are being assigned to for me to have any hope of giving you a useful answer. Likewise, when you come downstairs later to tell me that a couple of folks have gotten locked out, again, we need to know the names of those folks in order to render useful assistance. The truly scary part is that this guy had to not only interview for this position, but his being hired means that he beat out other candidates. At least he isn't one of the dweebs who took less than 30 minutes to get locked out of his laptop because he somehow messed up typing "Password01". ::head desk::

Re: A Thread for Random Musings This morning, my beloved, in a fit of sleepiness, accidentally cooked an entire pound of bacon, instead of the usual half-pound, to go with our breakfast. As I normally do in such "dire" circumstances, I made a quip along the lines of "I guess we'll just have to eat it all, then. That's OK... I'll take that bullet for you." And the moment I said it, I realized that in light of the events in Aurora, where 4 men literally took a bullet to save their loved ones, that particular quip just isn't funny anymore.

Re: Musings on Random Musings A friend of mine says that when she had an outbreak of poison ivy in the woods in her back yard, she paid a local farmer to bring some goats over to eat it. It seems that goats are not only immune to the effect of poison ivy, but that it is one of their favorite things to eat.

Re: [LoH] Run Info I'll second that "theoretically". I think Level 11 is too low level for most of the packs, for the simple reason of not having enough powers. If you have a team, then, yes, the Packs can work at low levels. But if you run solo, you need a good AoE, Passive, Block and healing power to have good odds on pulling it off, so Level 14 minimum... make that level 17 if you want an Energy Unlock.

Re: The cranky thread We've just spent the past week dealing with the drama of a person who just doesn't get what it means when other people have, and enforce, healthy boundaries. It staggers me to see people my age who are that socially "challenged." Hopefully, this'll be the end of it, since the last boundary I enforced was a very unambiguous: "I am not interested in 'mending' things or meeting you halfway. I'm done. I'm not answering your e-mails or calls anymore. Goodbye." The power of "no" is highly underrated, and (IMHO) not used anywhere nearly enough as it should be.
