  1. I still prefer to treat Invulnerability as 100% Damage Reduction and put SFX penalties on top of that. Actually, I'd prefer to do that with everything, including Desolid and NNDs, but one can't have all.
  2. TK, only towards launcher, only if harpoon did BODY?
  3. My duplicating character could alternately split into thousands of one-inch-tall clones. It was bought simply as Desolid, can't pass through walls, vulnerable to area attacks.
  4. Susceptibility: Damage, Instant Effect - 1d6 Drain to INT and others
  5. I'd rather do it like this: each 3 points spent in COM give +1 to Conversation, Persuasion and Seduction rolls. Maybe Oratory too, depending on the situation. Then buy effects of very high or very low COM as powers: Extra PRE, Mind Control and such. Optionally, one could introduce a reaction roll system in Hero, similar to that used in Gurps.
  6. An umbrella scrotum is quite obviously either a Force Wall or a Force Field, only vs. attacks from above. I'm still baffled as how he can pound on it without feeling PAIN.
  7. All together now... "It depends on the Special Effect!" If the mental attack targets the brain directly, it obviously wouldn't be hit. Soul-controlling spells would still hit. A medieval mentalist wouldn't even know that the brain is where the mind is, so this might affect them or not. Etc etc.
  8. "You are doomed to roam this land as a Bishoujo Charat!"
  9. Noted. Replace 'never fails' with 'only fails in a 18'. It is a 1 in 216 chance, but IT JUST MIGHT WORK!
  10. I like the 100 invisible stretching Extra Limbs. Makes him a sort of Japanese tentacle monster.
  11. Invisibility 0 END Persistent Always On Xd6 Suppress to Invisibility, Self Only (-1) Inherent won't do, because then it can't be suppressed.
  12. 1" Tunneling, 20 DEF, Incantations (you know what).
  13. For that sort of stuff, I made a power called Change Form, which is a kind of superset of Growth, Shrinking and Density Increase powers. It is bought in levels, where each level's cost varies depending on the bonus it gives: Ability Cost Characteristics Normal -1 KB 2 -1 PER to notice 3 +1 DCV 5 x2 Reach 5 +1 KB -2 +1 PER to notice -3 -1 DCV -5 Each level must cost at least 1 point. Mass and size increase and decrease are purely special effects. With these costs, Growth goes to 5 points, Shrinking to 10 and DI to 11 points.
  14. Been a while since I last disgusted the forums, so based on Mattingly or whoever's essay on inexistent characteristics, here's my essay on what infinite characteristics would be like. I have no idea of the point cost of each of these, so don't ask. INFINITE STR: A character with Infinite STR can deal out AS MUCH DAMAGE AS HE WANTS TO. 5d6, 20d6, 1000d6, doesn't matter. He can also lift any material object and throw it at any distance. His Leaping distance is also infinite (see Infinite Movement) INFINITE DEX: Infinite DEX means a character never fails any DEX or DEX-based skill roll, for any reason. His OCV and DCV are also infinite, which means he'll never miss an attack and can never be attacked directly: Only by area (Remember he can also dive for cover any distance) and 0-DCV attacks. INFINITE CON: A character with infinite CON never gets sick or poisoned, nor stunned. INFINITE BODY: A character that has Infinite BODY is pretty much immortal: No quantity of damage will ever kill him. He can only be stunned or contained. INFINITE INT: Infinite INT grants the character automatic success on all INT and INT-based skill rolls. He never misses any PER rolls either, and can never be fooled by Images. INFINITE EGO: There are probably some cases of this out there. Infinite EGO means immunity to most mental powers: It also means an infinite ECV, so the character will never miss any mental attack. INFINITE PRE: A character with infinite PRE can use as many dice as he wants to in Presence Attacks, and is immune to Presence Attacks and some of the mental powers. INFINITE COM: No idea how that would work, since COM is not used in any rolls. Maybe the character is a visage of transcedental level or something. INFINITE PD/ED: Infinite PD or ED grants the character total immunity to that type of attack, even if Armor Piercing. The difference between resistant and non-resistant still applies, however. INFINITE SPD: A character with infinite SPD may take AS MANY PHASES AS HE WANTS TO in a turn. INFINITE REC: Infinite REC means all STUN, END and BODY is healed whenever the character takes a Recovery. Somewhat strange. INFINITE END: The simplest infinite characteristic to define. A character with infinite END plays as if all his powers use the 0 END advantage. He also may push any stat to the limits defined by the campaign without any ill effects. INFINITE STUN: A char with infinite STUN never gets Knocked Out, although he might be Stunned. Theorically, he could also use as much STUN as he wants in place of END, but that's up to the crazy GM that let a player take this. Next: Infinite Powers.
  15. Well, the first question is 'Why'. Just increase the dice instead of changing the standard value. Also, -1 for 2 points per dice is a bit sharp. 2 points per dice reduces power effectiveness in 1/3, which with a few calculations amounts to a -1/2 limitation. I'd use +1/2 and -1/2 for each extra pip. Also, why stop at 6?
  16. Faced with... Falling Natural Counter... Flight and associated Unnatural Counter... Entangle The good old method of using Entangle to cushion BODY damage that otherwise would go to your widdo head. Works with falling civilians, too.
  17. Regular or Extra Sticky? I would go with the +1/4 for each level, since it's basically, (using Entangle as example) (Entangle, Sticky (+1/4)), Sticky (+1/4). The problem is that it gets out of control quickly as more and more levels are added. The same note could be used for Usable By Others to send powers from hero to hero in a chain.
  18. Nonsense. Chucking wood is clearly a Social Limitation.
  19. Phys Lim is something you can't do. Psych Lim is something you won't do. Soc Lim is something they won't let you do. There
  20. Vash's 'being Vash' could be described as Distinctive Features: Easily Concealed, Major Reaction. As long as he doesn't go gun-happy, he can pass by unnoticed. Maybe couple it with a 8- Extreme Reputation for the people that -do- know what he looks like, along with a positive Rep for people he has helped. For the 'danger magnet' effect, here's a novel approach: Hunted (by dangerous situations): More powerful than PC, Mildly Punish (Destroy everything around him, without killing), 14- (+5 for Vash being 'easy to find': 25)
  21. OK so nobody heard me. Anyhow, Kirby's gulping down skill is fairly powerful: It acts like a Grab, prevents the targeted being from seeing and attacking anything else, and ends up destroying the target or throwing it against a wall with force. And, of course, a VPP to mimic the target's power (although videogame Kirby's is easily a 8 or 10-slot Multipower)
  22. I'm fairly sure she meant this Kirby.
