Re: The cranky thread Ok. Sorry, T storms kept me from things for a bit. Just a heads up. Full story? Place where my grandma stays (only a few miles from my mom and dad's house) got some blood work results back from my grandma and were a bit alarmed. They called the family, got permission to take her to the hospital.. and it would appear to be dehydration. She'll be fine they think. She'll be at the hospital for two days or so at most. SOOOO... it appears I was worrying myself over very little. Whew. Meanwhile, one of my friends is getting a screw out of his foot tomorrow. I may play fetch for him. But that's not a cranky thing, it's a good thing as he'll be happy to finish the healing process at last.

Re: The cranky thread Thanks. It may not be so bad , like I said, I don't know the details. I'll let folks know when I find out. I've been mostly worried about her mental state. It wasn't bad the last time I saw her (around Memorial day), but she's not as together as she used to be. If this complicates or worsens that.. but probably not best to dwell on it until I know more

Re: The cranky thread My grandmother is in the hospital because some tests came up badly or some such. I do not know the details, though my mom will be calling me later with them. She's 96 years old, so even the little things can be VERY bad.

Re: Does anyone ekse like People with Powers style games? It depends really. Too often "People with powers" is more often run/written as "Selfish dysfunctional jerks with powers" and that holds little interest for me. I deal with enough jerks in the real world and would like to think that SOME folks at least would be decent if they somehow gained such abilities. Also, I LIKE the tropes. I like colorful costumes, weird encounters that seem to defy probability and so on. If in a costumeless campaign, I'd probably be playing the guy who actually puts one on and darn the ridicule.
