  1. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "Angel" the RPG So I've noticed... the Penagallan is my favorite (fillipino?) asian vampire. Any chick whose head and guts detatch and fly around by their hair is my kind of girl...
  2. Preach on brother! Every night on FX they promote John Doe during the Buffy reruns... Not ONCE did I see an ad for Firefly with even a small 'From the creators of Buffy'... ARRRRRGH!
  3. I really like this idea. Thanks. This would be exceptionally good for a Fantasy game.
  4. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "Angel" the RPG And... Southeast Asian Vampires are only "Vampires" by western definition... an attentpt to pigeonhole an 'alien' mythology into one that fits a recognized folklore.
  5. *sigh* Firefly... I hate FOX
  6. I've tried this and it does work well. One thing I did in previous games was to set the campaign in an OBVIOUSLY divergent Earth (No Revolutionary War, or World War 1 lasted 20 years, etc)... This, of course, prevented such problems as "I know it's May in the game, but we are at war with Saddam in real time, can we go to Bagdad and kick his butt?"
  7. Beautifully done. I can't wait to peruse this at length... I, too, would love an offline version... ++The Emperor is our Shield and our Shining Light in Dark Places++
  8. I have the Original (2nd edition?) Bestiary around the house and I probably cracked the book two or three times. The new Bestriary has become and integral tool. *Need Ettercaps? There's more than enough info to dash them off quickly (and the HD download is a life saver) *Daughter wants a Follower: Nightmare? Bang... there it is, slight modification and you are good to go. *Wife wants a Bear-Spirit Multiform, the Bestiary has three bears to start with, slight modification in HD and you are good to go. *Need a giant radioactive lizard? Here's your resource. To be frank, I've used it more than Champions... and I'm running a Champions game! 5th Edition has fulfilled ALL my gaming needs to a level higher than my expectations.
  9. No, and if you are doing it that way (rather than allowing the primary form to spend xp to upgrade the secondary form) then you maintain playbalance as well. I would have no problem with that other than the question of book-keeping (i.e. Ok... you were Bob for half the adventure and Stunning Steve the Two headed Spider-Monkey-Man for the second half... carry the thre... does math... head explodes... )
  10. What I wouldn't give for a copy of that module. I saw it ONCE at Lou Zocci's booth at Dragon*Con in the late 80's... I should've grabbed it.
  11. Yes... I'm willing to sacrifice you for the greater good
  12. Re: Re: YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING! That's exactly the way we've been adjudicating that rule. My wife has the only Multiform character in the group and Her 'Primary form' is at 421 points and the 'Secondary Form' is at 420. I find it keeps the balance and prevents "Capatin Marveling" were a PC has a MUCH weaker form and spends ALL their points to upgrade the Muliform... there is always someone who wants to do that, essentially getting 5x the xp you give everyone else.
  13. I mentioned this on Supreme's Vampire thread, but I thought the subscribers to this thread would be interested: From IMDB.com Have Faith in 'Buffy' Buffy The Vampire Slayer will live on after star Sarah Michelle Gellar quits at the end of the season - her replacement has been chosen from amongst the current cast. Eliza Dushku, who plays Faith, is now to become the central character in the supernatural show, enabling Gellar to return for the occasional cameo.
  14. And just as an addendum that I know you might be interested in: From IMDB.com Have Faith in 'Buffy' Buffy The Vampire Slayer will live on after star Sarah Michelle Gellar quits at the end of the season - her replacement has been chosen from amongst the current cast. Eliza Dushku, who plays Faith, is now to become the central character in the supernatural show, enabling Gellar to return for the occasional cameo.
  15. Re: Re: Re: "Angel" the RPG In other words, they're more like a disease than a species... I like that.
  16. Re: Re: Shrinking Brick Names I'm personally waiting on the write up for Universe Man:D
  17. Seems you are looking for the 'Ultimate Doom' from the Ultimate timeline... there is a dearth of images online... suppossed to be a big deal. I'll keep digging and thanks for the snack.
  18. Haven't seen it, but I'm good at digging up images. I'll post it isf I find it.
  19. But then... this one (With Iron Man) constitutes the perfect combo
  20. This is MY favorite Doom pic... but then I want to buy this too...
  21. Was it called Doom? Do you remember who was working on it?
  22. Doneit. Combined Four seperate campaign (under three GMs) into one campaign world. Only one Universe could survive as the Chronovore ate time from the beginning. When the Heroes from many worlds (different sessions with each of us playing mixed teams from different campaigns) stopped the Chronovore. When it was done, the final team of Heroes had to sacrifice themselves at the Heart of time to jump start the universe... I was pretty proud.
  23. WORSE. I saw the bootleg of the Fantastic Four... The Thing was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and Dr. Doom got his butt kicked by Reed's stretch punch... *Picture this*... Camera angel from behind reed. *SPROING* his fist slowly covers the five feet to Doom's chin. Doom's head snaps back... Repeat 8 times... *SHUDDER*
