  1. One of these days I'd like to see a take on Wonder Woman that recognises she originally arrived as a foreign spy. She dressed like an American patriotic symbol (and wore a military uniform in her secret I.D.) as a cover.
  2. They were following the redesign of Amanda Waller in the comics. I have no idea why they felt the need to prettify a character like Amanda Waller.
  3. Five million litres of a bitumen-water-sand emulsion were found to have leaked Wednesday from a Nexen Energy pipeline south of Fort McMurray, Alta. — one of the biggest oil spills in the province's history. It adds further fuel to the debate over pipeline safety that continues to rage on, most recently emerging as a point of contention among premiers meeting in St. John's this week.
  4. They have to actually be doing something before you get to hit them.

  9. Obviously the most blatant problem with Ingvard's redesigns that they were all designed by the same guy and they totally look it without much regard for who the characters are. Power Girl and Supergirl aren't going to be any more protected from damage because they have less skin showing and Supergirl's cheerleader outfit is no more unreasonable than Superman's painted-on circus outfit. The only real practicality issue with Power Girl and Supergirl is that cleavage wouldn't work with flying fast in atmosphere. Bare arms, bare legs, who cares? That's prudery, not practicality. That being said there are things that I really like, like the idea of Wonder Woman with her hair in a braid, Elektra's pull-down mask, Sonja's armour (which is more or less what REH's Sonya actually wore). In fact Elektra and Black Canary work for me because he really seems to be designing street level outfits for everyone.
  10. Sony has been hunting down this video to try to have it exterminated (because it's a parody that's better than the original), but so far they've missed this one. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/82833836/
  11. Everything I've been able to find says that these books are posted with permission. http://classicmarvelforever.com
  12. If it's a swords and sorcery setting Vinyl would be a smidge anachronistic.
  13. In Top Ten there was a female character where she used coloured patterns on her skin to look clothed body-paint style and she made a issue when she found the dog man was colour blind, so to him she looked indistinguishable from any naked woman...apart from her apparently not having genitals. It was not the most shining moment of that series. Poorly thought out.
  14. Incidentally the thought occurs to me that Starlight Glimmer even comes with her own prepackaged cult.
  15. Yeah, that's what you'd think: What's that behind Cherry?
  16. Master Disaster was the kind of scientist who thought that it was a good idea to experiment on his infant daughter, Ava to empower her with vast destructive abilities to generate heat and explosive shockwaves. He had turned her into a living breathing disaster. Sadly the government's approach to handling the threat was less than optimal and when she finally broke free of the drugs and restraints she went on exactly the kind of rampage they feared as Ava Destruction and has fought California Girl several times.
