  1. Re: "Your girlfriend works for VIPER!" Huh? Yeah, this can definitely be a concern. What sort of a player is he? Does he react well to this sort of swerve (or as I asked early does he actually react to his GF at all) or did he take a DNPC solely for the points and will think of her as XP to turn into once the reveal happens?
  2. Re: Order of the Stick As something that was pointed out to me, will Raise Dead still work on Roy after all this time? Or is it now up to only True Resurrection at this point?

    Dr. Who

  4. Re: "Your girlfriend works for VIPER!" Huh? How devoted is she to VIPER's cause? If/when the truth of everything gets revealed will she side with her boyfriend or with VIPER (or try to cut her losses and get away from both)? How well does the PC treat said girlfriend anyway?

    Dr. Who

Re: Dr Who It is, however, still up in the air as to how canon the "early" books are in terms of the actual show. So theorhetically RTD could toss out the whole looms bit. "So many parts...some of them hardly used!" (Just remember "hardly" and "never" are two different words! :smoke:)
  6. Re: Building an "Inflict Pleasure" power Let me take a wild guess and say this isn't for a Four Color game, is it? This for a PC or an NPC?
  7. Re: Why do you like to play Super Hero Games? It's all about the tights...
  8. Re: No way to win...? How would you handle paradox in your game?

Re: Dr Who So, what would the Sonic Screwdriver be in HERO mechanics then?

    Dr. Who

Re: Dr Who Definitely above average defenses (PD/ED, probably Power & Mental to boot) than most humans as well (Nine survived the Slitheen's trap in AoL/WW3 and Ten survived a lightning strike in EotD as recent examples).
  11. Re: Are we Ready to Rock? I dunno...are we? Nah, don't make the bad guys/girls be fellow musicians. Make them be REAL Evil....make them be RECORD EXECUTIVES!
  12. Re: Are we Ready to Rock? I dunno...are we? Where from Spain? Rather than Spanish, you could always go Catalan or Basque name-wise.
  13. Re: Villain Grey Matter Sort of reminds me of Mind Matter Control from 4Ed "Creatures of the Night" in a way.
  14. Re: Order of the Stick New OotS is up... ... ... ...whoa.
  15. Re: Casting "Champions Universe: The Motion Picture" Look, if we're going for full geek splendor and vicarious thrills of seeing him beat up, surely Wil Wheaton should be Foxbat!
  16. Re: Order of the Stick I'm curious to know just how much of this experience Roy will remember if/when he ever does get raised...
  17. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I'm now morbidly curious to know more of this story...
  18. Re: Rep Points Well, if they're Norwegian Forest Cats they should be able to cross the border just fine...
  19. Re: Casting "Champions Universe: The Motion Picture"
  20. Re: Casting "Champions Universe: The Motion Picture" Forest Whittaker? (Think "Last King of Scotland")
  21. Re: Casting "Champions Universe: The Motion Picture" For Bulldozer... Big guy that refuses to sell for anyone and disrespects women to boot? Bill Goldberg
  22. Re: Order of the Stick And the look on Eugene's face just sells it all so well...
  23. Re: Bwahaha Villain's arena play The question, how do you expect the players to win/play? And, besides just being a villain, what does your Bad Guy get out of keeping the girl anyways? If you're saying that the Bad Guy won't give up the girl even if they heroes win the game, then really, why take away the option of just going after him by force?

    Superhero!

Re: Superhero! A couple Origins back, I was involved in a one-shot game similar to this. Here are some of the characters I remember... Redshirt: Star Trek fan. Fairly competant martial artist, but had low defenses. Due to the power of a mystic "red shirt", he had the power to come back from the dead every 2 hours. Needless to say, he dies a lot... People Person: Obsessed with Oprah. Could use characteristic Aid on herself and others, but it had to be in the form of self-help homilies and cliches. Minor Ego attack. Barnraiser: Powerful brick. Complete and utter Amish pacifist. Above Average Woman: WW2 experiment much like Captain America, only not so much. After all, she's only a woman...ladies just don't DO superheroing! Speed Bump: Out of hero ID, a mild-mannered man who took care of his blind dog, but when duty calls, he had the power to be the ultimate speedster! Unfortunately, he then has his dog's blindness instead...
