  1. That's why when I got married, I proved to my female Co-Workers I was ready: Your Right Dear I'm sorry Dear How could I have been thinking
  2. Ok, clicking on that and following some of the other pictures down, first very cool David Bowie one, but is that the Insane Clown Posse in the horror balloons?
  3. Nah, its just Monster Zero having a nightmare again.
  4. And Garapolo enters and gets win, as he seems to do with the 49ers, and yet, year after year, they bring in someone to replace him. Isn't there something to say for the team playing for you and just winning? My brother been talking about this all day. I feel for the guy. And that is hard to say for a Rams fan, as I hate that team, but really, what did he do that made the coach and management hate him.
  5. Albert is one of those guys who came from the Steroid Era but never had the stigma attached to him in any way. I really hope this resurgence isn't due to outside help, but he is looking way better then he has in 5+ years. As a fan of Albert, I cheer him on, as a fan of the Angels I just have to say " Where was this the last 4 years of your contract?".
  6. Great, so the Angels have become the anti Rays model. So proud to be a fan. DeRosa did a breakdown of Soto today and its not he isnt getting pitches, but that he looks like he is up there to walk and not pulling the trigger on pitches he usually would have crushed. It makes me wonder if he is actually hurt and not telling anyone.
  7. We watched Red Notice on Netflix the other night. Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. Fun if predictable heist movie. Worth the watch. Also discovered something interesting. We watch the Tick and other stuff on Prime a lot and don't eat that badly into our data plan with Hughesnet, but near as I can tell, watching that one movie on Netflix for an hour and a half movie, used around 3-4 GB of our data.
  8. I would have figured you to be typecast as the murderer, which of course still could have been as he was one of the last to die. 😀
  9. Reminds me of the paint color scene from Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.
  10. The Seattle/Angels one is painful, especially as the guy playing first was JT Snow and a perennial gold glove nominee. Padres are treading water. The Tatis PED thing really took the air out of them. As the people on MLB have said, how much have anyone talked about Soto since he got to San Diego.
  11. I should have added, hated that Luchasaurus attacked Jungle Boy. Hate the lifelong friend turns on partner bit. Way back my friend and I used to go to WCW, and one such was a buckhouse stampede that the final 2 guys were the Road Warriors. So rather then fight, they flipped a coin and Hawk jumped over the rope (was funny back in those days to see the RW wrestle the Barbarian and The Warlord and realize Hawk was the small guy in the match). The crowd went nuts. When AEW had Lucha backup JB vs Christian, I was thrilled. How about having friends actually stick by each other. On another note, mentioned before, but I would watch Ray Fenix wrestle a rag doll. Followed him since Lucha Underground and really love his matches.
  12. Honestly, NFL, especially given the appearance of health of players, to have teams who play on TNF have their byes the prior week. Would improve the play and reduce injury risks. I gotta figure there is a way for this to work, given that every week now has byes.
  13. Anyone notice Thursday night football streaming only?
  14. And Angels, playing Guardians. Mike Trout has homered in 7 straight games. so first 3 at bats, 10 balls and 1 strike, because he swung at it an popped it up (no, I am sure he wasn't trying to tie the MLB record). Now, their pitcher is effectively wild, but you cannot tell me, even with Ohtani behind him, that they are not pitching around Trout. So again, WHY DOES ANY TEAM, UNLESS IT IS A 10 RUN BALL GAME, THROW A BALL ANYWHERE NEAR THE PLATE WHEN JUDGE IS HITTING. If not going to just hold up 4 fingers, throw 4 balls to the third baseman and tell ump they were pitches. Until someone other then Judge beats you repeatedly, don't let him hit the ball. Your example is not machismo or mano y mano, this is either utter stupidity or a mandate from someone (as conspiracy people would tell you, wanting Judge to threaten 61).
  15. Really enjoyed the first one with Denzel and he is great in the 2nd one, I just wished they hadn't jumped to Friend is Killed, not to mention To me, became standard actiony movie, where the first one had a lot of intelligence behind it. The Equalizer has so much other that it could have done.
  16. They showed the Black Adam trailer during thursday night football. I liked it and looks good. Loved the Justice Society.
  17. Seems pretty classless, though I have to admit I don't know what drove them too start it.
  18. I think the biggest thing will help base stealing is the pitch changes: The clock first, so no standing there holding the ball for 30 seconds or whatever. Only allowed to step off twice. only allowed to throw over once - meaning once you do, runner can take as big a lead as they want, which means if they do, next pitch probably a quick pitch, which are usually never as good as your stretch/windup pitches. They showed on MLBNow pitchers who take longest with no one on base - all relievers. Longest was Kenley Jansen at 26 seconds.
  19. The only good argument I have heard for this is that now having to put 2 guys on each side of 2nd (I didnt like this part, but was ok with the guys have to start on dirt, because honestly, the shift that puts an infielder in shallow outfield only affects left handed hitters, you can't do that against right handers, the throw is too far) will mean you can no longer hide immobile 2nd baseman (not that there are many) because of the shift. You will need more athletic players around the infield. also, part of the base thing, along with pitch clock (love this also), is to influence teams trying to steal more. We will see if it works. Unclevlad, on a personal note, I have enjoyed having someone besides my brother to discuss baseball with the last couple weeks on this forum and look forward to much more. None of my local inner circle, primarily my wife and her family, are baseball fans, or even much of sports fans.
  20. First, glad they gave trios titles to Death Triangle. Lucha Bros deserve it, I have yet to see a match of theirs that was not the top or close to it on any show they have been on. The trios and world champion titles had to be vacated. if they had only vacated the world championship, would have shown too much favoritism. MJF coming out and then showing hasn't changed was great went on his rant before he left I actually agreed with him regarding the ex WWE people coming in and being pushed over wrestlers who had stuck with company from beginning. I suspect Moxley will end up with Title (loved his speech) and a feud with MJF. I also had figured Danielson to win so he can continue the feud with Jericho.
  21. IIRC, it was Booster I quoted - "One Punch...AND I MISSED IT!!!"
  22. And again yesterday. Twins are trying hold off a charging White Sox and catch Guardians. Tied 2-2 with Yankees, Judge up, man on first. As soon as you got to 3-1, just walk the guy and take your chance with next batter, trust me, any old school manager would have. Nope, hang a 3-1 pitch up there, you lose 5-2. I realize walking him puts man in scoring position, but you have to make someone else on the Yankees beat you at this point.
  23. Like I said, I don't buy into a lot, but added to Judge turning down that contract at beginning of year and KNOWING MLB wants him in NY (they haven't said, but I guarantee it) and they will be one of the few could sign him, the HR thing makes me wonder. Also, he has at least 12 Walk off HRs, a lot when Stanton wasn't in lineup. Unless the bases are loaded in a tie game, there has been NO REASON to pitch to him this season, especially after May or so. So again, he may have solo HRs because his team sucks and can't get on ahead of him, but that feels even more like pitch around him or intentionally walk him. He is at 80 walks with 11 intentional which rank 2nd (Soto has 117 walks) and 3rd behind Ohtani and Alonso. So he ranks high in those categories, so you may be right about the not wanting to put someone on thing.
