    Solemn reminder for 9/11: The current generation of high-schoolers has never seen our country not at war.

    To be fair, the US has been at war* for over 220 of the years its been in existence, so neither has virtually anybody else.

    *Depending on how one defines 'war'.  If you want to be technical, the US has declared war five times against 11 different nations:  War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Spanish-American War, World War I, and World War II.  Obviously, many 'informal wars' have been fought, such as Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq; calling something a 'war' seems to be a way to get support for it, over 'police action' or 'invasion'.

    I'd love to see the checklist on that.  I'm no fan of the NRA, but terrorist group - as though they were on par with Isis - seems really out of bounds.

    Even with more recent Antifa vs. Proud Boy dust ups you don't typically see bands of roving NRA members shooting people.

    Lessee here now, looking up the US legal code on such things ... one checklist, as ordered.

    5) the term “domestic terrorism” means activities that—

    (A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;
    (B) appear to be intended—
    (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
    (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
    (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and
    (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States

    Well, A and C are no-brainers, at the very least.

    Heard they got the title back.  Wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a storyline though.

    Oh, if they don't make a worked shoot out of this, they are missing a golden (no pun intended) opportunity, no doubt.  They should just go "Okay, Jericho, this is your bit now.  Have fun with it."

    I don't know, it comes off as a work to me, but maybe it is true. IF it is true, they need to not turn it into a work.

    From what my (admittedly little) research indicates, there's an official police report filed, complete with a suspect sketch.  You can't work that.

  5. I am beyond surprised McMahon, who we all know takes himself WAY too seriously, is permitting this to air.  On the other hand, it reinforces his bad guy 'Mr. McMahon' character that went out of vogue 20 years ago, so it is in keeping with Vince's living-in-the-past philosophy.

    If the XFL actually succeeds, anybody taking bets on if he tries to revive the World Bodybuilding Federation?

  6. If Reagan hadn't gotten rid of the Fairness Doctrine for broadcast journalism, we wouldn't have this problem.  We should have not only kept it, but expanded it to include cable/satellite broadcasts in addition to traditional broadcasting.

    Ronald Reagan, Father of Fake News.

    Fox News doesn't do retractions because they aren't 'wrong' about things, they're intentionally lying.
