  1. "If God didn't want them sheared, he would not have made them sheep."
  2. While listening to "Walking in Memphis", I came up with an idea for a new song: "Welcome to the Jungle Room"
  3. Why did I listen to THAT song? I know that song always makes me cry.
  4. I got a similar call last week. After being told that my computer was "sending bad signals", I told the woman that I'd been without electricity for half a week and my computer hadn't been connected. She hung up on me.
  5. Thanks, tkdguy. I'll be praying for your sister.
  6. My parrot Pachuco, who I've had for sixteen years and who I expected to outlive me, died today. The worst part is that I wasn't there with him because I'm still in Nevada and he was at home in Texas.
  7. I remember bookmarking your site long ago but it must have gotten lost in the mountain of bookmarks I have on my old computer. Now that I've liked it on Facebook, I'm hoping it won't get lost in the shuffle.
  8. In case anyone is wondering, my favorite episodes of Bonanza are "Dead and Gone" and "Black Friday".
  9. Won't say I love you, babe Won't say I need you, babe But I'm gonna get you babe And I will not do you wrong Living's mostly wasting time And I'll waste my share of mine But it never feels too good So let's don't take too long You're soft as glass And I'm a gentle man We got the sky to talk about And the earth to lie upon Days, up and down they come Like rain on a congadrum Forget most, remember some But don't turn none away Everything is not enough And nothin' is too much to bear Where you been is good and gone All you keep is the getting there To live is to fly Low and high So shake the dust off of your wings And the sleep out of your eyes Goodbye to all my friends It's time to go again Think of all the poetry And the pickin' down the line I'll miss the system here The bottom's low And the treble's clear But it don't pay to think too much On things you leave behind I will be gone But it won't be long I will be a'bringin' back the melodies And rhythm that I find We all got holes to fill Them holes are all that's real Some fall on you like a storm Sometimes you dig your own The choice is yours to make Time is yours to take Some sail upon/dive into the sea Some toil upon the stone To live is to fly Low and high So shake the dust off of your wings And the sleep out of your eyes Shake the dust off of your wings And the tears out of your eyes
  10. "Renegade" by Styx followed by "Bad Company" by Bad Company. Pandora rocks!
  11. Yeah. Looks like she really let herself go.
  12. Another day, another dollar After I sing and holler Oh it's my way of livin' And I can't change a thing Another town is drawing near Oh baby I wish you were here But the only way I can see you darlin' Is in my dreams It's a highway song You sing it on and on On and on Yeah the hu rt you leave behind Is the hurt that's on your mind Oh and last night sure took it's Toll on me Well the city lights fly by me As I lay my body in my bed And dreams of you flash through My head It's a highway song You sing it on and on On and on Highway song It's as long as As the road I'm on Yes these big wheels are ready to roll We've been flyin' high I'm so low And all in all this madness Ain't as crazy as it seems Everywhere they stop and stare I'm just a stranger on this road I stand alone only in my dreams It's a highway song You sing it on and on On and on Highway song It's as long as As the road I'm on
  13. Well I used to wake the morning before the rooster crowed Searching for soda bottles to get myself some dough Brought 'em down to the corner, down to the country store Cash 'em in and give my money to a man named Curtis Loew Old Curt was a black man with white curly hair When he had a fifth of wine he did not have a care He used to own an old dobro, used to play it across his knee I'd give old curt my money, he'd play all day for me Play me a song Curtis Loew, Curtis Loew I got your drinking money, tune up your dobro People said he was useless, them people are the fools 'Cause Curtis Loew was the finest picker to ever play the blues He looked to be sixty, and maybe I was ten Mama used to whip me but I'd go see him again I'd clap my hands, stomp my feets, try to stay in time He'd play me a song or two Then take another drink of wine. Play me a song Curtis Loew, Curtis Loew I got your drinking money, tune up your dobro People said he was useless, them people are the fools 'Cause Curtis Loew was the finest picker to ever play the blues Yes sir On the day old Curtis died, nobody came to pray Ol' preacher said some words, and they chunked him in the clay But he lived a lifetime playin' the black man's blues And on the day he lost his life, that's all he had to lose Play me a song Curtis Loew, hey Curtis Loew I wish that you was here so everyone would know People said he was useless, them people all are fools 'Cause Curtis you're the finest picker to ever play the blues

  15. Really? What ruined it for me is that she's holding a phone and not a cup of coffee.
  16. "You son of a b*tch! That money's mine!" "Not as long as I got the gun it ain't."
  17. Wow. When you destroy your geek cred, you really destroy your geek cred. I'm impressed.
  18. Zombies meet Shakespeare in... Romero and Juliet
  19. Found in the comments of a documentary about pulp fiction that I came across on YouTube: Really? L. Ron Hubbbard is praised more than H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Issac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, writers who are titans of Fantasy, Adventure, Science Fiction, and Horror are brushed under the rug for the founder of Scientology that is just not right
