Okay, no fiction at this time, but here's a summary:

 

Young Erik Lehnsherr, barely into adolescence, sees his family slain at the Auschwitz concentration camp and escapes before they can do the same to him. In hi brief time there, he stumbles upon a horrible secret: Doctor Poison has a sample of a previously unknown, possibly extraterrestrial, virus and is conducting medical experiments on prisoners with it. Her hope is to use the virus to a] find a quicker, more efficient way to kill prisoners, or b] use the virus to transform volunteers into monsters to fight the Allies' super-soldiers, or c] both. A lot of people have already died, Erik's family among them, but two members of Doctor Poison's staff (Teer und Feder) who 'volunteered' for the treatment gained vampire-like powers. This has given her the assurance that the needs to persuade those running the camp to expand the program a hundredfold.

 

Erik is determined to go back to the camp and shut it down, ideally killing Doctor Poison himself in the process. The team, led by American hero Spirit of 76, will parachute into Poland under cover of darkness and make their way to the camp, where they will attempt to free all the prisoners and shut down the experimental program (and the mass executions). They board the plane in 12 hours.

Six ordinary-looking people were already waiting quietly in the meeting room when Agent Carter walked in. She closed the door firmly behind her, muffing the chatter from the rest of the Bletchley Park basement. Six pairs of eyes followed her expectantly.

 

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman. Thank you for coming on such short notice," Carter began.

 

"It's okay, Peggy," said one of the women, a blonde. Some of the others nodded. "There must be something big happening if you need the six of us, though."

 

"Thanks Claire, and yes, it is big." She set her briefcase on the table and opened it, not bothering to sit down. "How many of you know about the upcoming invasion?"

 

"Invasion?" another girl exclaimed. The others looked around at each other, but all appeared to be just as surprised.

 

"Good," Carter continued, "perhaps we still have some operational secrecy. We are very pressed for time, so let me sum up. President Roosevelt has ordered a simultaneous invasion, on multiple fronts, of Axis territories by heroes such as ourselves."

 

"Yes! We're finally getting into the fight!" cried another woman, raven-haired.

 

"We are indeed, Madeline," Carter continued. "But the invasion is doomed to failure."

 

That got their attention.

 

"As you know, we have been kept out of the war so far, though many of you may not know the reason. That reason is this." From her briefcase she produced a large photo of a spear.

 

"We can't invade because of a sharp stick?" asked the man, incredulous.

 

"Not just any sharp stick, Sergeant. This is the Spear of Destiny. Yes, that one. Hitler has it. And according to DC, whoever holds the Spear can control any hero who is susceptible to magic, or whose powers derive from it."

 

"You mean Washington, D.C.?" asked the heavyset blonde woman.

 

"Something like that, Fantomah," Carter answered.

 

"That's... everyone," the sultry brunette commented. "Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Hawkman... magic works on all of them."

 

"Yes, Sandy," Carter said. "But not us."

 

"Well, doesn't someone need to go in and get the Spear back before the invasion starts?" asked the young lady.

 

"Funny you should ask, Jacquie," Carter replied. "You have all been selected because you're not subject to the Spear's effects, and because you can all pass for civilians. There will be a lot of people where we're going, and we need to maintain operational secrecy until the last possible moment."

 

"Where is that?" Fantomah asked.

 

"Where is Hitler right now?" Claire replied.

 

"Oh." Fantomah said.

 

"Exactly," Carter went on. "And it's not going to be easy. Hitler has assigned a special security detail to the Spear." She drew more photographs from the briefcase, and passed them around.

 

"This bitch again?" Madeline said, looking at the first photo.

 

"Oh, she has some overdue bills I need to collect," said Claire, looking over her shoulder.

 

"Trained monkeys?" asked the Sergeant, looking at another photo.

 

"Don't underestimate them," Carter said. "They're stronger and better disciplined than German regulars, and completely fearless."

 

"All right then. What's the plan?" asked Jacquie.

 

"It's almost too simple," Carter said. "Bletchley Park is working to get a fix on the Spear's exact location. We convened here so we'll know right away. Once that's determined, we'll sneak a single aircraft into Germany, with Sandra's help, and airdrop in. We'll rendezvous in the city in civilian guise and proceed to secure the Spear."

 

"So we're not waiting for the rest of the invaders?" Fantomah asked.

 

"That's right, team, we are the tip of the spear. Pack your bags, we're going to Berlin!"
