I like to think that my SuperSquad America convention games are somewhat similar in tone to the Marv Wolfman/George Lopez Teen Titans of the early-to-mid 80s mixed with the Roy Thomas Infinity Inc. of the same era. The Players, a gangland Vegas campaign,- part Wanted part Gotham PD WW2 campaign- DC Elseworlds, the Unholy Three The Unspeakables- DC Elseworlds, the Doom that came to Gotham, Gotham by Gaslight Costa Del Oro Sentinals, The Outsiders (Current) and maybe some late 70s X-men Stepingstone-X-calibre, Capt. I asked once what people thought, though more generally than this, and got these 2 answers I went and dug up: 1 - traditional X-men superhero stuff with a major dose of Men in Black (emphasis on Tabloids!) 2 - One part: traditional super-hero fare + one part: Rockford Files (very similar zeitgeist) + one part: X Files.
