Which comic?

Recommended Posts

If you had to pick a comic which best represented the theme, mood and general feel of your campaign, which would you pick? TV shows are open as well.

Redwood/Raptors:X Men Evolution

Bay City Blues:The Ultimates

Defenders/Brigade/Vanguard:Avengers

Paragons:Justice League

Freedom Force:Justice League

New York Knights:The Ultimates

Re: Which comic?

I like to think that my SuperSquad America convention games are somewhat similar in tone to the Marv Wolfman/George Lopez Teen Titans of the early-to-mid 80s mixed with the Roy Thomas Infinity Inc. of the same era. However, those of you who have played in it may differ.

The fraternity universe

Historical adventures of the original team

Silver age FANTASTIC FOUR or AVENGERS

Senior class

ULTIMATE X MEN

Freshman class

YOUNG JUSTICE, NEW MUTANTS (current incarnation)

Rest of the student body

Some where between the movie MYSTERY MEN and LEAGUE OF REPLACEMENT SUPERHEROES

Current original team

Like a slightly lower powered DEFENDERS but with more members

The Players, a gangland Vegas campaign,- part Wanted part Gotham PD

WW2 campaign- DC Elseworlds, the Unholy Three

The Unspeakables- DC Elseworlds, the Doom that came to Gotham, Gotham by Gaslight

Costa Del Oro Sentinals, The Outsiders (Current) and maybe some late 70s X-men

Stepingstone-X-calibre, Capt. Britain(under Alan Moore)

And of course a huge dose of Knights of the Dinner table running throughout.

Re: Which comic?

I really don't know. I asked once what people thought, though more generally than this, and got these 2 answers I went and dug up:

1 - traditional X-men superhero stuff with a major dose of Men in Black (emphasis on Tabloids!)

2 - One part: traditional super-hero fare

+ one part: Rockford Files (very similar zeitgeist)

+ one part: X Files.

So...I'm not sure what comic books that would be!

OMG!!! I can't believe I would make such a mistake. Perez is one of my favourite artists. I feel so ashamed. I shall immediately begin self-flagellation.
