Samuraiko
Re: Musings on Random Musings Chocolate fondue... only way to go. Damn it all, now I'm hungry. But my fun project for today (other than cleaning the inside of my car) is working on Skaramine's trailer. Also, them's that have been eagerly following my job search with bated breath, I think I can get certification from the State as a Reading Specialist, which will vastly improve my job search (I hope). Guest Worldmaker
Re: Musings on Random Musings I've only had hot oil and a couple instances of cheese versions. I was actually disapointed by the cheese ones, as I LOOOVE Cheese, but wasn't really taken by the fondue. I don't remember for certain what variety of cheese based fondue my wife prefers. There may be several... Wine-based fondues are my personal favorite. As for the cheese, the best are a blend of swiss and american, I've found. Thrakazog
Re: Musings on Random Musings What would happen if you turned a bag of holding inside out? That very sentence kicked off an impromptu and very long dimensional-travel tangent to a D&D campaign I had spent weeks planning out. I don't recommend trying it. Or if you do, don't have other plans.

White Heat
Re: Musings on Random Musings All the stuff in the bag would fall onto the floor. It's in the books somewhere. Or was that Portable Holes? Doc Um, you can't turn a two-dimensional object inside out. Yes, I know it's only two-dimensional until it's laid flat, but you can't turn it inside out when it's laid flat, because if you pick up one edge it turns two-dimensional again, because it isn't flat. Just trust me on this...

And don't get me started on the lies involved in the term "child proof". The will manage to break, spill, open or otherwise circumvent any universal physical law in order to make a mess. It's amazing.
James Gillen
Re: Musings on Random Musings Maggots in wounds have been found to be beneficial. When doctors couldn't get to soldiers in the civil war, their worst wounds were filled with maggots. The doctors were frightened of this, but later, they found the soldiers who had maggots in their wounds had LESS infection in their systems, and their wounds healed more quickly. Apparently, the maggots ate the damaged, dead flesh, but left the living flesh alone. They also ate foreign matter in the wound, and thus cleaned it out so that the body could heal. Today, maggots are grown, disinfected, and used in hospitals to debride necrotic sores and other horrible injuries. It looks horrible, but then, compared to rotting flesh, seeping wounds and festering sores, it's a good thing to be a maggot. This realization makes me wonder if the maggots of rage and hatred in my own soul are a good thing. In the immortal word of Keanu Reeves: "Whoa." lemming
Re: Musings on Random Musings I thought change was a coin. Did you just add that red die on top? Or am I just that unobservant? lol. The red die was there all along. It's the stun die for the other 14 dice. It's hard to tell, but there are 3 small white dice in front of the stack. (probably because they're cropped out...) And when I say change is afoot, I was just going over things in my head and just was reviewing this tool I found via a job application near the end of last year.
