*snort* That might actually be better than "Dr Strange getting impaled by a Hand ninja"; at least it has humor potential. . .

OTOH, openning scene of the second issue makes most things better. "Uh-oh." :)

( or as someone else put it: Iron Man- "I've negated most of your powers. Dr Strange, your on the honor system." )

NightWind is a better fit than NightHawk' date=' IMHO. Kudos to you, DW for making that call.[/quote']

It's gutsy. And I'm cool with it as Nighthawk is still there to be drawn on if a GM wants, but at the same time this does harken to the Batman Outsiders sort of vibe.

Jobbed Out.

God, what a hysterical disaster that would be.

"We're sorry, Witchcraft, but the post of Archmage has been outsourced to India. You'll be moving there, and the Champions will get an elephant headed guy with the ability to cast tantric spells and inhale water through his trunk. Sorry about the confusion. Please clean out your office."

I think he meant "jobbed out" in the Pro Wrestling sense. The guy who losses is called the "jobber." He "does the job" or simply "jobs" for teh winner. If the jobber is especially unhappy about the match result, then he was "jobbed out."

I think it would also be fair to say that lack of a Code Versus Killing Disadvantage doesn't mean that the person is willing to use lethal force as a matter of course.

Exactly. Only a few PC's in my campaign have code vs. killing and even the ones who don't are sending supervillains to the morgue whenever they get the chance. I think the others can keep him under control.

Look. Time for a reality check. Yes, lethal force is not an only option. Yes, a 12d6 EB stands a better chance of killing a normal than a 2d6+1 RKA.

BUT....

A killing attack is STILL a KILLING attack. It is obvious that it is a KILLING attack. The villains know you are trying to kill them. YOU know you are trying to kill them.

I think you are the one who needs a reality check. Any attack which does body can kill. Take a 3d6N club to my head a few times and I will die. That is the reality.
