Nyrath
http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/12/saturn-hexagon/ Seriously, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??!!?? Evil game masters can make this into pretty much whatever they want, and it will still seem plausible.

lemming
Re: Saturn’s Hexagon May Be Solar System’s Coolest Mystery Here we go: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/54762-Hero-Games-Invades-The-Planet-Saturn And you'll find a link to two older ones. From Nyrath's link though: First discovered by the Voyager spacecraft in the early 1980s The Hero System was created in the early 80s. Coincidence? I think not. lemming
Re: Saturn’s Hexagon May Be Solar System’s Coolest Mystery Hexes are gone? I haven't followed the new edition of the rules. Stuff is measured in meters now, not game inches. Nothing to stop people from using a hex map of course.
Egyptoid
Re: Saturn’s Hexagon May Be Solar System’s Coolest Mystery Where else do we see hexagons in nature? (besides this and crystals) I say honey combs, which are hexagons mainly because uniform pressure from equals sized-sides compresses that way. So what if the hex wall on saturn arises due to great pressure we do not encounter on earth? polar storm pushes out, and temperate bands push back. Voila, hex. just my liberal arts major 2 cents.
