Duane From RI
If a player character or a GM character takes the power Throwing Badger, does the host of the game have to put a disclaimer on his front door indicating that no actual badgers were harmed in the course of this game? teh bunneh
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger In most municipalities, he doesn't have to, but it is always considered polite and appropriate. But as always, check your local ordinances.
Xavier Onassiss
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger I'm curious about the Throwing Badger power construction. Please, do tell.
Duane From RI
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger Throwing Badger is found in 6E1 on page 334. For a while I was confused about what was really being thrown, but the OAF limitation makes it clear that you throw a Badger. A rather nasty Badger, 1d6 RKA Constant. Ouch. That will quickly kill an unarmored enemy.
Chimera 12
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger That's a silly way to write up that power. Clearly, a badger isn't so much an OAF as a recoverable charge.

ghost-angel
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger You don't Recover a Throwing Badger... they return to you when (and if) they feel like it. Also, Throwing Badgers are expressly forbidden in the Hero Chat Rooms.

Xavier Onassiss
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger I think throwing a badger is a silly idea. My next character is gonna have a shoulder-fired rocket-propelled badger.

sheva
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger This is a profoundly perverse and silly idea. I like it. In fact, it has inspired me to think up a character concept where all the powers revolve around throwing various kinds of flora ad fauna. Duane From RI
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger sheva, as to a flora/fauna character, in keeping with the video clip by Escafarc, I suggest a Reflection power based on having a giant mushroom shield. Where were you gonna put it? Sheesh, no wonder the badger keeps getting angry.... I gotta 'splain everything to these crazy kids, I tell ya! Duane From RI
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger Look at the TEETH on that thing! Its a small mouth, sure, so 1d6 KA seems appropriate. But damn, those teeth sure look like that Armor Piercing may be appropriate.
Xavier Onassiss
Re: Total NEWB question - Throwing Badger Heh. My personal favorite is the 'Honey Badger.' Don't let the name fool you. From the Wiki entry: (bolded text mine) The (honey) badger is among the fiercest hunters in its range, with prey including earthworms, insects, scorpions, porcupines, hares, ground squirrels, meerkats, mongooses and larger prey such as tortoises, crocodiles up to one metre in size, young gazelle and snakes (including pythons and venomous species). Maybe I'd rather take on the chain saw....
