Tasha
It's not very easy to find good pulp figures. Most figures are either too modern or too scifi. I found a couple of websites that sell metal figurines that are very appropriate for Pulp games http://www.pulpfigures.com/main.php http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/ Good looking castings, great dinosaur minis. They have a couple of ranges of Pulp figures. http://www.hydraminiatures.com/index.shtml They have a great range of pulp "Raygun" sciFi minis (also they sell some great paint stands) All of the figures have good detail, but not a ton of extra non-essential details. This makes the minis much easier to paint for beginners and everyone else.
tkdguy
Re: Pulp Figurines Those are pretty cool miniatures. There used to be Call of Cthulhu miniatures at one point. I don't know if the line was discontinued.

Silverbullet
Re: Pulp Figurines How is the scale on these ranges? I love the pulp figs-- but are they true 28mm or run big, small?

Pulp Figures is a company that I haven't ordered yet. BTW New GW stuff runs really big. So only their minis look good together.

Fazhoul
Re: Pulp Figurines Rattrap Productions has a pulp-themed tabletop miniatures game called .45 Adventures. They have some nice looking figs available on their website. Here are some pictures of painted minis that they have on their website. Field Marshal Kluge Major Steele I also bought a bunch of HeroClix minis a while ago that can be used (or modified to be used) in a pulp game. Among them were Gotham City Police figs (they had the 20's-30's style of uniforms), Blackhawk figs, Kobra Cultist figs and some others that I can't recall right now. Remjin
Re: Pulp Figurines Also check out Chronoscope from Reaper Miniatures. I believe its http://www.reapermini.com It has a large variety of miniatures, so its kind of a grab bag. I'm not at my personal computer right now, so I don't have all my bookmarks, but there are several others as well. Also, some of hasslefree miniatures (http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk I think) fit the bill, including zombie survival miniatures and others. =) Neat thread. I always like to see more miniatures from the more modern era and around. There really aren't enough quality miniatures around, and few sci-fi style miniatures that aren't way over the top. I'm always looking for miniatures for Shadowrun and Cyberpunk.
dsatow
Re: Pulp Figurines Just a suggestion: For quick nondescript NPC figures, you could go to a model train hobby store and pick up some citizen figures. The clothing is a little off and to me are more reminiscent of 50s era clothing but would probably be good enough.
tkdguy
Re: Pulp Figurines There is a hobby store that's located on my way to work. They have civilian figures. Unfortunately, they are too small, being closer to the 15 mm scale. I bought a pilot miniature and some ground crew figures. They are a bit larger than the 28 mm figures, but maybe they can suit my needs. And I think they're made of lead.

It's really a shame too it would be nice to be able to buy ordinary plastic model kits and have our figurine scales match. It would really open a wide range of possibilities for both hobbies. Unfortunately miniature gaming just isn't popular enough to attract mainstream plastic model companies.
LordGhee
Re: Pulp Figurines Blue Moon Manufacturing http://www.bluemoonmanufacturing.com/ Has a number of neat sets.
