Karen died when Betty was a teenager, and Ross shut Betty out of his life, claiming that a military base was no place for a young woman. Betty went off to boarding school. She returned to Thaddeus' home after finishing school but then as for much of her life she was dominated by Thaddeus. By now Thaddeus was in charge of the top secret Gamma Bomb Project at Desert Base in New Mexico. Betty greeted the bomb's creator, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, when he arrived at the base. A strong attraction grew between Bruce and Betty. However, Thaddeus held resentment for the quiet, slender, nuclear physicist thinking him a physical and emotional weakling. Thaddeus' dislike of Bruce intensified when he realized that Betty was falling in love with him. She served as an important background character for the Hulk for years occasionally becoming a villain (the Harpy) but usually playing the role of victim. With MODOK's transformation of Thaddeus to the Red Hulk, Betty was transformed into a ruby coutnerpart to the She-Hulk. Her powers are slightly different, and she lacks the experience but she's proven very capable. More powerful than Jen was when she debuted. Personality/Motivation: Betty has always been a devoted daughter, wife, girlfriend, done what people needed of her. In many ways she's as repressed as Bruce Banner; but she's put more effort into working through it and is more socially capable. Her "Hulk" personae is uninhibited like her green She-Hulk counterpart, but also more prone to anger and violence. Unlike Jen she this She-Hulk doesn't particularly care for her human form and resents having to change back. Betty seems to see the transformation as an escape and though she doesn't like the lack of control she's content to be along for the ride. Powers/Tactics: The Savage She Rulk...or Gammazon as I'll be calling her for now, is a straight up brick. Her corrosive bloot/spittle seperates her from the others and though she seemignly gets ticked off easily, like her father she doens't seem to have access to the limitless reserves of strength the "True Hulks" have. Gammazon has oft been seen with various weapons, but I prefer to ignore that. Campaign Use: At this point Betty Ross has been everything, DNPC, Villainess, Nun, Spy, Wife, and now she has her own hulk attributes so gets to be the PC in her own story. Appearance: As Betty Ross: Height: 5'6'', Weight: 110lbs, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Brown As the Red She-Hulk: Height 6'7'', Weight 700lbs, Eyes: Yellow, Hair: Black with Red Streaks, Body: Bodacious. Betty has always been a pretty woman; turning heads despite "plain Jane" attributes. She dresses fairly conservitavely thanks to her background. Her alter ego dresses much more scandelously; preferring tight black leather.
Lawnmower Boy
Re: Betty Ross, Gammazon (5e, 900+ pts) I'm glad to see that comics are being proactive in delivering us more superheroic characters with poisonous/corrosive bodily fluids. Other than looking forward to more colonic action, they can count me in as one happy camper.

Matt the Bruins
Re: Betty Ross, Gammazon (5e, 900+ pts) I really hope Marvel picks up on the Gammazon monicker, as it's perfect for her and wouldn't be confused with or derivative of the Jen Walters She-Hulk. Matt the Bruins
Re: Betty Ross, Gammazon (5e, 900+ pts) Her big-ass sword is an uru weapon outfitted with repulsor technology by Tony Stark (no idea what those components actually do, though) and enchanted by Odin. So, not some random bit of tableware she picked up. In the absence of further information, I went with a 2d6 Armor Piercing HKA in my (pending) write-up of the Defenders, which would get her into the same Damage Class range that I put a Thor-swung Mjolnir in. Matt the Bruins
Re: Betty Ross, Gammazon (5e, 900+ pts) Cyttorakk's busy stacking the Juggernaut powers on top of Colossus. Stark and Odin actually made high-tech/magic weapons or armor for Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and Stark himself as well as Betty, but only she seems to be using hers afterwards. But now that it's done I don't so much reread it as re-look at it with my eyes unfocused just enough to avoid being bothered by the words.
