  1. Re: ...And now the city is mine to control! Muahahahaha!!! Detroit would welcome you!
  2. I've noticed this over the last few years. Any time someone posts a character, they include all the individual power costs for everything. I've never really understood why. It just clutters up the sheet, and makes it hard to read.
  3. Re: Teen Titans cartoon conversion? Thanks for the characters and various links, everyone!
  4. Has anyone done conversions of the Teen Titans, as seen on TV? Including Slade, Terra, and all the other assorted characters? I'm specifically not asking for the comics, just the cartoon.
  5. Re: So Which Hideout are you looking at? I've just gotten back into CO. I picked Mom's Basement, because it fits my character much better than the other choices. I really like the mystic base, as well.
  6. Re: Questions about the Champions 6E core rules book Noble Knight and FRP Games are also out of many 6e books.
  7. Re: Questions about the Champions 6E core rules book You'd have been far better off going online to Noble Knight Games or eBay and buying Champions 4e. You'd have had everything you needed in one book. Hero has undergone MASSIVE book inflation, which I think will kill the game over time, as more and more people will drop it. I know several people who are sticking with 5th, just because they don't want 2 core books.
  8. Re: What do you really think of Champions Online? I just started playing again, after quitting in February. I think the game has improved a lot since then. I'm having fun.
  9. Re: Adventure Pack: The Demonflame It sounds pretty cool to me. I like the Adventure Pack idea. It lets Cryptic add chunks of content and new locations, without a huge delay that would be involved with a large addition like Vibora Bay.
  10. Re: Takofanes, where is he? Got all 13 this afternoon. Now I'm hunting for the Taco Fan. I hear he pops roughly every 6 hours on each instance. Unfortunately, the servers are majorly crashed so he might be up all at once.
  11. Re: List Your CO Heroes! My main is Blaze@danbuter. She's a fire/power armor user.
  12. I think maybe 5e and 6e should have been kept separate. Or at least a button for each thread where you select edition.
  13. Re: One Last 6E Preview: The Covers! Blah. Sorry, but pastel colors don't do it for me. Why not have a real cover, like the 4e book?
  14. Re: Was Fantasy Hero 2nd ed self-contained? How was it?
  15. Re: Top 5 Favorite 5E Supplements Urban Fantasy Hero Fantasy Hero Grimoire Dark Champions Hudson City
  16. Re: Was Fantasy Hero 2nd ed self-contained? How was it? I guess you have an IQ of 200 or something, because I'm always flipping through books during a game. Even games that I've been running for years.
  17. Re: Was Fantasy Hero 2nd ed self-contained? How was it? If a self-contained Hero Fantasy book came out, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. While I love hero, I don't love carrying around 10 books to run a fantasy game.
  18. I'm thinking of picking up an older, self-contained version of Fantasy Hero. Something that would hopefully be simpler, and easy to run with just the one book. But I can't really find much info on the older games (though I'm sure there are some websites out there about them).
  19. Re: Urban/Modern Fantasy Questions I ran one using Call of Cthulhu probably 10 years ago. The game actually lasted more than 6 months, as I wasn't blasting sanity, etc. I purposely made it more Urban Fantasy than CoC. It was a lot of fun, and I would love a chance to run something similar again.
  20. Re: how do you like your fantasy games Low to midlevel power. I don't mind some magic, but when it gets similar to anime or high-level DnD, I lose interest.
  21. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... In a Changeling the Lost game: Duncan and Steve are sneaking up to a subway car to spy on it's occupants, who were evil fae. Troll (our lookout) saw something and called Duncan's cell phone as he was looking in the window.
  22. Re: Urban Fantasy Recommendations Book 3 especially, I actually really really wanted to kill a fictional character. The things that happen in that book are just plain disturbing (psychologically, not gross-out). And to other posters: the main character is a shape-shifting coyote, whose main ability is tracking other supernaturals. There are vamps, werewolves, etc. It sounds cliche, but Briggs has the best characters and stories of any of the people who write this particular part of the genre (and I've read them all).
  23. Re: Urban Fantasy Recommendations Haven't read every post, but I HIGHLY recommend Patricia Briggs. Especially Moon Called, Blood Bound, and Iron Kissed. She is a great writer, but be warned, she does not pull punches.
  24. Re: Taverns and tavern games I'd have to say that if you go throughout the Lythia site, you will find TONS of free material, most of it with no game stats, and all very appropriate for a low-magic/fairly realistic setting. I also happen to really like Harn, though, so that might color my recommendations.
