Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game I agree. I like how CO has a one-button option to remap keys. As is, every single time I make a character, I go into Options and Keymapping and redo the movement keys and the targetting tabs.

Re: What Have You Watched Recently? Movies I've seen lately: Super! = Fantastic movie, but very definitely adults only. A more serious, psychotic version of Kick Ass. Thor = Good movie, more Marvel comics than Norse mythology. Centurion = ok movie. Very bloody during the battle scenes. The tracker scenes were poorly done, as in, I doubt the director knows anything whatsoever about it, yet made it a critical part of the movie. Captain America = fantastic movie. Really, better than I could have hoped for. On TV, I kind of gave up on Doctor Who during the long break. I might catch it on DVD in a year or two, but half seasons make me turn off your show. I do watch Blue Bloods. Easily the best cop show on TV.

Re: A REAL reboot of the JL BTW, the artist is Aaron Diaz, a "He". I like his art a lot, and his ideas for the characters, except for Huntress. I don't see her joining any villains league for any reason.

This is a death spiral, I believe, one which DOJ likely got caught in with the vastly larger core rulebooks. Seriously, 4e, the Big Blue Book, only had 213 pages of rules. The rest was setting.

Re: Fantasy Superheroes I like the OP's ideas except I'd want killing and violence to be the normal setting, like other rpg's. Having a group of supers wandering a fantasy setting would be awesome.

Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game I love the storyline of the supers group. I'm not all the way through it yet, but it's fun. Spoiler I'm curious who the traitor will be. Most of the characters have had hints placed that it could be them.

If there are not enough setting supplements, there isn't a good background to place those rules into. And, generally, Villains books are necessary for GMs, but not players.

Re: Welcoming Women Who Game I've never had a problem with women gaming. It's the other guys at the table while she's there that cause the problems. In addition, is this the "cool" thread for october? I've seen variations of it on every major rpg board.

Re: What do you really think of Champions Online? I had quit playing the end of last year, when there were some serious issues about things. I started up again last month, and I think the game has improved quite a bit since then. If the game was released today as is, it would have been a hit. Too bad it was only half-finished when it was released 2 years ago.

Re: City of Heroes - Online Hero Game I have 2 chars starting new on Exalted: Nightstik (Mace/Willpower Scrapper) and Cogsworthy (Time/Electricity Defender). Yeah, I'm really happy they FINALLY have mace scrappers!

Re: How (un)realistic are Street Samurai? Most street samurai carry pistols or even bigger guns. They don't limit themselves to razorclaws or swords, at least in books and Shadowrun.
