  1. Re: The cranky thread If one of my coworkers actually took the stick off once in a while, he wouldn't look constipated all the time.
  2. Re: Martial Arts/Film Noir Campaign I'm not gaming right now, unfortunately, so there's no progress to report at this time. Maybe I'll give it another go if I get a new group.
  3. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Is this how life on Mars would be like? I doubt it will be this extreme. And while I'mtalking about space exploration what do you think about this lunar rover?
  4. Re: Mundane Superhheroes (and Villains!) Damage Reduction and Hand-to-hand Attack would be good choices for him.
  5. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares 20,000 Leagues Under the Temple of Doom
  6. Re: The cranky thread Money problems; 'nuff said!
  7. Re: Hard sci-fi adventures? Thanks again for the ideas here. They're great.
  8. Re: Handling day and night on infinite plane? I would have just had one gigantic lightbulb illuminating the whole place. Then you see a gigantic hand flip the switch at night with an audible click.
  9. Re: Mundane Superhheroes (and Villains!) I don't have a proper name for this guy yet, but you can stick him in any campaign. He's petty crook who often gets caught after committing some crime, usually mugging or assault and battery. He spends so much time in jail, he's called the Jailbird.
  10. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Gorillas in the Mists of Avalon
  11. Re: A Thread for Random Musings I wonder how long it will be until someone can actually say this with a straight face: "So you're taking a tour of Mars? Be sure to stop by the Red Planet Pizzeria. They make the best calzone in the Tharsis region!"
  12. Re: The Ol' Cross-Genre Bait-and-Switch How about using a one-shot adventure to see if they like the idea? Here's an example adding horror to a science fiction campaign.
  13. Re: Hard sci-fi adventures? I thought of a new one just this morning. It's a one-shot crossover with the horror genre. Supply ships en route to a lunar or Martian colony were lost, and the colonists were in danger of starving. The PCs are part of the relief effort. They find that some of the colonists have survived, although many perished. The colonists are acting as if they have something to hide. If the PCs investigate, they find out the survivors turned to cannibalism in order to survive. Some of them have grown to like the taste of human flesh, and all of them are determined to keep their secret. The PCs had better watch their backs before they end up on the dinner table!
  14. Re: The Ol' Cross-Genre Bait-and-Switch I once thought about running a low fantasy campaign that turned out to be set after a global disaster. On that note, you can always have the "wisdom of the ancients" or their "magic" in fact be technology.
  15. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Okay. Here's Krillin again, this time in Saiyan armor, and Vegeta. I know his hair is a bit short, but that's all the program offers.
  16. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Wuthering Heights, the Musical Starring: The Tick as Heathcliff and Major Motoko Kusanagi as Catherine
  17. Re: Fusions that aren't actually all that nightmarish Highlander 2.0: Several people gain superhuman abilities after being containated with nanites. After it is revealed that they can increase their powers by absorbing another's nanites, an all-out battle for supremacy begins.
  18. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Sex in Space
  19. Re: The cranky thread Prayers and well wishes from me too, CC.
  20. Re: Where to send the scientific expedition [Creepy Vorlon Voiceover]If you go to Zahadum, you will die![/Creepy Vorlon Voiceover]
  21. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine The Bride (aka Beatrice Kiddo) from Kill Bill
  22. Re: Where to send the scientific expedition Pluto is a good possibility. The New Horizons probe should arrive there around 2015. It just passed Jupiter recently.
  23. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Matthew, Mark, Luke Skywalker, and John I am so going to hell for this one!
  24. Re: Where to send the scientific expedition It has been a long while, but I may have observed Carina back in 1988, when I was in the Philippines. It would have been barely visible, but I remember looking it up in my star charts, at least. I didn't look at the nebula, however.
  25. Re: Solar HERO: Mercury Pretty interesting stuff. Now I can have another reason to put a scientific space station orbiting there in my scifi campaign.
