  1. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I hadn't thought of that one, but that could work. I named the two pictures "yuppie" and "the girl" and combined them as an afterthought. With the guy I was originally going for the yacht-club look, but they don't have the right hat for it. So I gave him shades and a turtleneck instead.
  2. Re: The cranky thread The people across the street suck and so do all their friends and relatives.
  3. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Some random NPCs for your game. Cute couple, no?

  10. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Tonight, for the first time in several years, I brought out my telescope and looked at the night sky. I had forgotten how much fun it is. And how much I missed it.
  11. Re: The cranky thread Okay, we're going to have a company barbecue. Sounds nice, right? Well, guess where we're going to hold it. In the narrow dead-end alley behind the center. Where the dumpsters are. And the folks at the restaurant below us park their cars there too.
  12. Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine I finally got the program to work again; my connection has been really slow lately. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures: The first is a an officer of an interplanetary or interstellar police force. The second is my interpretation of Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser.
  13. Re: What would the character sheet for typical MMA competitor look like? Cung is pretty good. I saw him compete in San Shou once. My sister used to do some PR for him, so she was able to get us VIP tickets to the competition.
  14. Re: A Thread for Random Musings What's DS?

  16. Re: Musings on Random Musings Most of the MERP products have a table that converts d100 to 3d6. Some info would probably be lost, however.
  17. Re: Musings on Random Musings Me too. That's why I came up with a template with my qualifications and customize it when I go after a specific job. It does indeed. Best of luck on your job search.
  18. Re: Musings on Random Musings My old group used the MERP critical hit and fumble tables for our AD&D games.
  19. Re: The cranky thread I lost my temper in public today. I was already cranky over yet another sleepless night, and I had to get to work earlier than usual today. That makes me even crankier. I was able to get the rest of the afternoon off. I was walking to the bus stop, when some jackass jostles me without so much as an "excuse me." I decide to return the favor. I'm about to elbow him at the curb when another jackass in a van cuts across me, almost hitting me. I scream out, "F***ERS!" At this time most of my ire was directed at the driver, but the first guy heard the rest of my tirade. I let loose the F-bomb one more time, and he crossed the street rather quickly. Then the train came. All the bystanders decided to embark away from me.

  21. Re: Music to Kill Zombies By As long as this song is playing as you're mowing down zombies, it's all good.
  22. Re: The Top 10 Rube Goldberg Machines Featured On Film This apartment has a bunch of Rube Goldberg contraptions according to the article.
  23. Re: Musings on Random Musings Maybe your players don't want to learn a new system. I personally would rather play the older systems, than 3rd Edition and won't even bother looking at 4th. Or they're just feeling nostalgic.
