Yeah, I can actually understand them not drafting a QB, if they like Stidham.  But, they did Stidham really no favors.  When (similar to the Packers) they most needed help with getting the QB targets. They only did slightly more than the Packers in that regard (some mid-rd potential TE).  They went after defense, when I thought that was already their strength last year (I cant remember if and how many free agents they might have had with that though)

Note: It kind of motivates me to want nothing more of next season, but for TB to be better than NE

And I don't get the criticism of Jalen Hurt to the Eagles.  They need someone to QB during the playoffs.

on a basic level, I do get the protestors, it has nothing to do with haircuts (as one certain CNN host who is longer on wind than intelligence*, would have you believe).  People are desperate because money is low (Old Man has covered to why) for people.  People need money to pay mortgages (shelter). Buy food.  ANd other needed materials.  Those problems are real, they have to be dealt with.  You may or may not catch a disease.  Some people do consider a chance vs a sure thing, worry more about the latter.  And people do things they might not have done, when they feel necessities are threatened.

Some other bills and fees are more complicated.  But, what should have been done most of all, would be a halt/freeze on mortgage payments (including interest) until this blows over.  The banks can still get their money on a 3-4 months later basis, cant see how it hurts them all that much (essentially go along as if the 3 months or whatever it turns out to be never happened).  Bills are a bit more complicated, but solving that mortgage part, would've strung the money out further.

Of course,  on an actual level, protest, seems to be a bad idea, let's say.

*Note sure I am allowed to say the blunter version that popped up in my mind

In these matters with Trump.  I figure, no he probably didn't fall for it, but just doing his favorite past time, the trolling of the media, to see how many of them he can punk.

And if there's one thing that actually deserves a lower opinion than Trump, unfortunately, it is our current media.

Well, the quarantine experiment is a one time thing.  Humanity or at least civilization cant survive doing it everytime this or something like it comes around.

MY biggest worry is that the Dems main only grip with that is the fact they aren't the ones in charge to do it.  The one common demonimator I seem to find with the 2 parties is that they both like authoritarianism (or at least with the seesaw of authoritarianism vs libertarianism-the much fatter kid is on the former side).  And seem to differ mostly on the issues they want to inflict with it.  One side may or may not have more benevolent intentions or at least their issues might be more benevolent for such a take.  But, past a certain line, I don't feel comfortable with such.

Yeah, I will probably vote the same as 2016, nobody.

I have reached a point then where my vote has to be at least nominally earned.

Yeah, it would make sense just to put a total freeze on it. as if the months of quarantine never existed.

Well, I do hate when they talk about US deaths and forget to take into population.  Even without considering the weird counting measures of other countries.  You have to do on a per basis, rather than total sum.

30K in the US, isn't worse, than 10K would say in Madagascar (random country that popped into my head)  (US population 10x higher than Madagascar give or take)

My biggest gripe, is it seems a couple times putting foot in mouth, when straying too far from his field of knowledge.  I cant really fault a person for that, really.  Especially, with news conferences, and possibly not being first hand experienced with how journalists can operate.  Too much made of nothing by paranoid ,in this case.

    You're not wrong there.

In the US, especially, but not exclusively, it's horribly confused/tangled up with liberalism. The college/academic types are particularly messed up that way.

All those shouty idiots? In the vast majority of cases, liberals working out their teenage angst, or trying to establish/maintain their professional credibility.

And then there are all the people who still think they are opposing Dubya Bush, who have tied themselves to Putin. Basically, Stalinism has made a comeback in a particularly idiotic form.

Or, and a Marx quote is entirely relevant here:
"Hegel remarks somewhere that all great world-historic facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce."
