    Your Hero's Hero!

Re: Your Hero's Hero! For Nephilim it would be the archangel Michael (she served under him as a general before she fell).
  2. Re: Name help requested for an idealistic archer Off the top of my head: Fletcher Long Bow (or Long Beau if you're into innuendos) Long Shot The Bowman The Marksman The Huntsman Quick Bolt If you choose to go the Native American heritage route: Motega means "new arrow," but I can't recall which tribe it's from... Enapay is Sioux for "one who is brave" Kohana is Sioux for "swift" Ouray means "arrow", but don't know the tribe... Hope this at least helps inspire you!
  3. Re: Spiffiest Power Name? You came up with that one. However, I'm proud of Per Ignis.
  4. Re: Power listing question I was amused by Mary "Magnum" and her illfitting red leather body suit. She looked like a 14 year old trying on her older sister's S&M clothes.

    Character monologues

Re: Character monologues ROFL! I'd love to see that played out. Hilarious. I do similar writing exercises to get a better idea of character developement and how my character would react to different scenarios. I'll post my own soon...
  6. Re: Who have you updated? Oooohhh I hate those guys! They're scratchless after every encounter, yet each member of our team has lost at least 60 pints of blood, about 72 square feet of skin, and nearly 6 months worth of consciousness defending the city! Grrrr!
  7. Re: Goofy hero names that you still love Maybe I love comics and superheroes as much as I do because I have a secret love of puns. You always know the powers of who you're fighting by their names. My characters (past and present): Tempest-- an air elemental speedster who's real name was Gayle Booker. She mostly went by Booker. Modem-- a tech-geek/programmer cyborg. She was the first to go wireless. Nephilim-- a brick who's an emalgam of mortal and angel (or demon under the right circumstances, but that's not until next issue. Shhhhh.).
  8. Re: This is Too Cool, and I Must Tell You About It I don't mean to be a buzzkill, but why would the Olympians care about infidelity... look at Zeus/Jupiter! Most human heroes in Greek/Roman mythology were the result of an adulterous union between a god and a mortal. Would they really find this behavior of hers all that terrible without being hypocritical? Again, I'm not criticizing... after all I don't know how you're running the gods in your campaign. Just an observation.
  9. Re: Your Gaming Group's Jargon A fav of mine is a fellow player's ever-popular variations on "Weigh that mans balls!" whenever a player of NPC does something especially... well, ballsy. There is also the token "Get a scale!" Once our GM described to us players out of character how Foxbat once eluded PRIMUS by ditching his costume and escaping into a nudist beach. After the tearful laughter abaded, one player said "Aw, they could've found him no problem... he was the guy with the biggest balls." I dunno... crude but hilarious.
  10. Re: Hero Games #1 Yeah, it was pretty fun just the three of us (when B* could stay awake beyond 10:30). But I think our current incarnation has a great chemistry. We continue to surprise each other and we all play off of one another very well.
  11. Re: "Primitive" Disads Possible chemical suseptability to things like caffiene, sugar, alcohol, stuff that's never been introduced to her body before could have a magnified effects. Depending on how primitive, maybe an enraged when overwhelmed by stuff she doesn't understand, like going ape on a TV or car or something. ;D
  12. Re: Name for a water guy... *groan* I was waiting for that one...
  13. Re: Name for an "I-hit-it-all" girl I like Metzli!
  14. Re: Name for a water guy... My two cents: While I think a character like that would certainly be more impressive in their own element (yes, pun intended), there's no reason he couldn't work in a location without a large body of water. He wouldn't be less effective, if that's what you're worried about. Water control is water control, and water is readily available to manipulate even in a city.
  15. Re: Name for a water guy... Off the top of my head: Drench Pipeline Rip Tide High Tide Surge Breaker Brine Hope those help.
  16. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #63 What a lot of folks are overlooking is even though the person is physically an 18 year old, that doesn't change their mental state as being that of a child (at least that wasn't stated in the initial question). Do you want an 18 year old blaster running around having a tantrum? My character would not. This scenario probably wouldn't fly in our game; PRIMUS and the courts would most likely make sure the kid was put back to the appropriate age. And I am speaking from my character's point of view though I can see how it may not sound like it, because the Champs campaign my GM runs is more realistic than most (not a criticism to anyones character or game, merely an observation).
  17. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #63 Since we're talking about a game and not real life, that would be appropriate if one were playing Dark Champs...
  18. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #63 Finally, a sane answer!
  19. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #63 An 18 year old with the mentality of a small child? No thanks, we have enough of those in the real world. But seriously, the kid would have to go back to his appropriate age. A child couldn't cope with a hormone driven body AND mutant powers. If he was allowed to remain, that's just asking for him to end up a villain to fight later. Besides, kids grow up too fast as it is....
  20. Re: Things a wise super hero should NEVER say To the villain: "Ha! You overestimate us!!" Tempest: "This thing's gonna blow! What should I do?" NPC: "You have to shut each one down simultaneously!" Tempest: "In what order??" NPC: "AT THE SAME TIME!!" "See? It works just good on supervillains as it does innocent bystanders!" (from our campaign with BlueBuddha) "Geez Jake, it's not like we asked you to touch something oogie for us..." "...those aren't pants!!" "Ew, he tickled me with that thing!!" (not an actual game quote, but it's still funny. From the movie The Specials).
