Hyper-Man reacted to Surrealone in Cool Guns for your Games
I've had the DP-12 in my hands and man, that thing is monstrously large/heavy compared to, say, the KSG. It's also strange only having to pump every other shot. Personally, I don't care for the DP-12.
Crye's Six12 is also an oddity as a standalone shotgun -- primarily because the cylinder is awkward. However, it's insanely cool as an under-barrel shotty mated to an AR-15 platform. Here's a taste of that:
And then there's the American-made UTAS XTR-12 AR-style semi-automatic 12 gauge. No Saiga clone, here. I can only imagine this thing with a Slide Fire stock and a 24 round drum mated to it. And you just -know- someone will make a drum for it...

With Hero, you only ever need the main book. Everything else is superfluous. I think the 6th edition being two volumes was a mistake. But hey, whatever you need to do to sell more books.

My goal is a complete collection of first-party physical publications. I'm very selective with third-party stuff and the PDF-only stuff.

Yeah, there's a John Wick thread around here somewhere that went into that. I'm still stuck in Weaver stance mode, which is now at least two trendy gun techniques out of fashion.

Evidently that odd cocked gun stance that John Wick was using is a real thing, C.A.R

AC is definitely worth collecting for Herophlies like us. I had most of the issues from BITD, but I'd missed out on the first six. I recently bought those six and very much enjoyed reading them....then re-reading the rest of the series.

I don't understand this phrase "unwanted RPG stuff" you use. I mean, the words by themselves make sense but in that combination...

Hyper-Man reacted to Joe Walsh in Need More HERO
I usually get rid of my unwanted RPG stuff through Noble Knight. They've offered reasonable prices for the stuff I've sent them, and shipping to them is free. Just a thought.

Hyper-Man reacted to g3taso in Welcome to Hero Forum - Please Introduce yourself (especially Lurkers)
How did you come up with your 'handle' (forum name)?
g3taso stands for G3 (Operations) Terminal Area Security Officer, which is military parlance is someone with specific duties in a military SCIF (Secure Compartmented Information Facility). I am a vet, and this handle came from when I was in service.
What was the first tabletop RPG you played?
D&D, of course. Still have the Bloodstone Wars modules.
What was the first tabletop RPG you GMed?
D&D, of course. Then Greyhawk, Ravenloft and Spelljammer flavors, and from then onto other games.
What are you currently playing/GMing?

I'm happy I found this post.
How did you come up with your 'handle' (forum name)?
I'll happily detail it if someone asks. For now I'll just say: High School
What was the first tabletop RPG you played?
D&D 3.0. Fighter + greatsword = many dead goblins. I was very easy to please back then
What was the first tabletop RPG you GMed?
D&D 3.5? I was not very good at GMing back then.
My first successful GMing was with Pathfinder and Mutants and Masterminds second edition.
What are you currently playing/GMing?
Working on translating Pathfinder material into Hero System. I love Killershrike's site. I don't think I would be converting stuff without him.

I don't own one and I've never personally seen one myself, but the PDF at this link is a scan of a 1985 Hero Games holiday mailer, and it references a limited box set of Danger International which included the regular softcover book, the older Border Crossing adventure, the classic double-sided Hero Games street map with hex grids (the same one from the Champions box sets), a poster, three dice, and a free sample copy of Adventurers Club magazine. It doesn't seem like this "Deluxe" set of DI was ever made available through normal retail channels. Note that the order form on the next to last page of the PDF is identical to the one found in the DI book itself, except it has been further marked up to reflect what is being offered in the mailer.

The only boxed version of Danger International that I know of was its predecessor, Espionage.
