  2. As I mentioned before you could also consider the DEF listed as PD. Have the ED much less. Shells, torpedos and the like are PD attacks where lazers/blaster are ED attacks.
  3. With few exception the weapons we use now would be used on a targets PD and not ED So A GM could consider the ED DEF of a battleship much lower the PD DEF. I realize the rules don't seperate the two. However, one culd do this if one wanted. One could also increase the damage o the weapons for that matter.
  4. Just sounds to me like you found one of the problems that can arise from a universal system. Unless you sit down a lay out all the damage acroos the board for every genre this can happen. Look at like this. The gun off of a WW2 battle ship has the same chance to damage another battlehip as the laser of one warship has to hurt another. So the dam/def ratio is the same in the SH as the dam/def ration is is WW2. I personal don't want to keep increase the damage of weapons as the "time" of a genre increases. This would mean that if you have a camapign set 3000 years in the future the damage of a weapon would be sick. Also if you base it totally off the damage, do you also realize how many Villains have attacks stronger than any weapon we have now?

    Well the multipower is the low end or new jedis. I worked up 3 25pt, 35pt and 50pt. It would also depend on how the GM would want to rule about it. The troppers asked Obi-wan how long they had the droids first. Meaning they were to keep their eyes out but weren't exactly sure what droids they were looking for so a ego +10 could work. I can see the need for a 20+ego for jabbas aid. Then again Luke wasn't taken into Sabre range either. He was across the room from jabba. Luke thought he could use the force on Jabba. So again a 10+ego rule could gain you entrance into jabba "throne" chamber to talk to jabba. Obi-wan would have the 50pt multi-power (10d6)or maybe even stronger. Luke would have atleast had the 35pt multi-power (7d6)by that time.

    I don't understand that concept. The mind trick force them to do as your wish thus mind control. There has been the concept that it will only work on egos of 15 or less. I fail to see this idea either. Their were only 2 people that it didn't work on. Jabba and the Junkman. I would think that mental defense would be more accurate than just a ego.

I have seen the energy dispersion idea. The only time this was shown was when Han shott at Vadar and that could be Vadar's armor as much as anything else. I'm still trying to think if they every showed something else in the movies. Danger Sense and Procog has been mentioned but they never showed either in the movies.I do think that a perk would be need to use/sense the force and perhaps a force skill as well

Notice it never did them any good Would show that they don't have it at all I would think. Again never shown to use this ability Don't see this at all I was thinking of Sense Force. Jedi & Sith would also be able to hide themselfs as well. Something they have done in several movies. Obi wan detected Vadar, Luke detect Vadar, etc.

    What would be the powers that you would give to a Jedi. Here's what they have shown that I can think off Mind Control Telepathy - surface thoughts only Missle Deflection Telekinisis Jumping, actually decided to by it as flight up and down, must land at end of phase + to SPD Lightning Reflexes What else would you add. The telekinisis or mind control could be use to choke someone. The only other thing I can think of is Vadar's reflecting of Solos blaster shot, which could be his armor as much as the Force.

  14. I think the mind trick depends on the level of the jedi as well as the mind of the recepiant. I have 3 multipowers I worked up 25, 35, 50. So the mind control ranges from 5d6 to 10d6. When you figure the ego of the target, and any mental defense then you find that it would take a Jedi from the 35 or 50 to be able to affect strong willed people. Let us not forget that it while it has been mentioned a few times only Jabba and the scrap man has shown resistance to the mind trick. This could be something about their race as much as strong willed. It would also depend on how the GM running the campaign looks at it as well. Personally I think it's both the ego level and Mental Defense. The only problem with the EGO over a set number is common sense tells you that most characters will have a XX or high ego just to stop it.

  17. I noticed that most equipment is a multipower. Would there be anything wrong with using a VPP? For instance making Sick Bay as a VPP to reflect the fact that there is much more than simple Aid that can be done.

  19. I working on a spell that would cause it's recepiant to become very unluck. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a transformation attack. It changes them into an unluckly person. Only problem is this causes extra work for the GM do decide exactly how it affects them. Any other ideas?
  20. When making a merchant Cargo spaceship. Do you need to pay for cargo area? I ask because the vehicle worked up in Star Hero & TUV don't. Do you just state the amount of cargo that is able to be carried or not worry about it?
  21. I use to have just about everything. moving and a split lost several. Still manage to have quite a bit including the first enimies book. Kind of funny to look at it then pull out the revised or classic enemies and compare the two. Haven't compared CKC to the first one. That should be a hoot

  23. Re: Re: Re: Old Hero System books. I was able to actually get a copy. The big controversy was the timeline set up to get the heroes willing to go save hitler's life. The world turned out worse than it was and several people took offense to this idea.
  24. Well I do have a few books her and there. I have all the rulebooks and genre books that Hero put out, Justice Inc, Cyber Hero, DI ect. I think the thing I like the best is that I still have the complete Adventurer's Run. I realize there are other with it as well but it seems not to many do. They seem to disappear to easily
