  3. Re: Rise up and smite them! Do the animated statues etc. act on their own? Can he set a street sign to attack anyone in range, then run away or do something else while the sign continues? If so, it's Summon. I'd think about putting OddHat's list in a Multipower.

  6. Re: Splatproofing megascale flight Seriously, if your character can zoom fast and see & avoid, that's either mega-senses or lightning reflexes (up to SPD 12). If you have mega-senses while flying, shouldn't you have them on the ground too? I.e. don't Link the sense with the movement? If you can't see far but fly fast, then you need to be able to dodge really well. How about Flight, No-Turn Mode? +10 to Dodge and Danger Sense? Just having fun, no need to pay attention.

They outlawed its use in the Olympics because they wanted to protect the older record-holders. Saw that in Wiki. Just like they restrict technological improvements in golf. Anti-sports bastards.

  11. Re: Move Through Interception Seems like you could impose a -1" movement speed for every 1 BODY taken in a movethrough. At -14" of velocity, it'd take 3" to come back up to full speed. Seems realistic that blasting through sandbags or a wall or whatever would slow you down. Of course, there's nothing in the rules like that as far as I know. In the end, do whatever is the most fun.

  16. Re: Superhuman women and normal women Y'know, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm not sure there is such a thing as super-beauty. No one has been able to paint or airbrush anything that is that much better than reality. Really good reality, but still "normal". I think super beauty might require some sort of mind control, to readjust perceptions or something. Induce hallucinogenic chemicals in the brain of the observer or something. I don't think you can just "have" it.

  18. Re: Multiform Question Yes, Multiform can easily be unbalanced. Take any five 350pt superheros, add in a sixth form that pays for the multiform and Viola! You get to play any of those guys! Hopefully the GM stops that. Also, the Disadvantages of a character might not be worth as much if it's easy to switch to another character that has different Disadvantages. That can put the squeeze on abusing Multiform a little.
  19. Re: Power build help... player wants a player that can make "wormholes"... Re: portal to the sun - you might want to make clear with the player what he intends to do with this power. It's described well, but it's not exactly suitable for "reason from effects". At least tell him he isn't going to be able to open a gate underneath someone and drop them at the bottom of the ocean. Depending upon how he intends to use it, this power might be Gate, Clairsentience, RKA, TK, etc.
  20. Re: Philosophical question I don't think we, who live nailed to the time vector, can make judgements as if we were free of that dimension. You probably have to develop a whole 'nuther set of values depending upon how Time works.

  22. Re: Master List of Scales in HERO Yeah, another way to say it is "it's linear, but the line doesn't intersect at 0." There's an offset, it equals the DEF.
  23. Re: Philosophical question Y'know, I seem to recall that Hitler was a genius that lead Germany to take over the world. Then some troublemaker went back in time and messed with his upbringing and set him up to become insane. Supposedly, this was done to unify the world with a fight against demonstrable "evil". Not sure how all that turned out.
