  1. Re: CHAMPIONS REVISED -- If We Do It, What Would You Like To See? As the guy who first sergested this ideal, I am flatered that there are people who like it. I mean, it could easly be a way to spice up mundain senerios without bringing in more supervillians. Simply have some thugs pay massive amounts of cash to Argent for the Turtle Armor and atachments, and your off and running. Of course, this would be more aproprate for the Argent orginzation book...but hay, whatch going ta do? (Oh, and I only guessed that Argent is behind the Turtle Armor...I mean, it does seem to fit in with what thay seem to be about)
  2. Re: Hero Talk Magazine What? No bondage covers?
  3. Re: VILLAINS, VANDALS, AND VERMIN -- What Would *You* Like To See? Take a deep breath, Phantom GM. Are you sitting down? This might come as a shock to you, but hear goes. DOJ (who publishes the new HERO SYSTEM) dosen't own thoes charaters anymore. And thoes which thay still own, Steve is not intrested in and willnot put into a book. Not even if Dennis Mahonie pays DOJ a few thousand to do so (since he owns Corruptors Of All, Death Anngel, Brother Basilisk, The Dash, The Anihilator, and many other charaters). This is also why in his company he had to change the names of a few to many charaters in his comic book line (like Foxbat becoming The Flying Fox, Dr. Destroyer becoming Dr. Death, ect). Yes, I miss a few clasic villians also. I would like to see Hidious in the new book (proably as part of The Director Of Crime's Crime Troup). But chances are not so good. So I will take whatever DOJ publishes, go out and get the pre-5ed stuff, and make a conversion.
  4. Re: CHAMPIONS REVISED -- If We Do It, What Would You Like To See? Alright...I'll give my $0.02 in. 1) A short adventure of some sort, even if it is a generic "Stop the bank robbers". 2) Some more sample heros and villians. 3) Turtle Armor, 5th edition. 4) A short "Who's Who In The Champions Universe", with a short paragraph of text about the subject (like Dr. Silverback or Dr. Destroyer), and a "First Apperance" or "First 5th Edition Apperance" with the name of the product where the write-up can be found. 5) A lovly lady bound to the train tracks. No...seresly...not.
  5. Re: VILLAINS, VANDALS, AND VERMIN -- What Would *You* Like To See? First, I want to apologise for mentioning Timemaster. I realise now that DOJ proably dosen't own the charater anymore. And if thay did, Mr. Long shurly is not intrested in giveing him an update/makeover. I myself as a fan of "why create new when we can just borrow from the old and remake him somehow" school of updating. I also must apologise right now that my spelling is not at it's best today. I am happy that Sunburst is geting a redo. Of course, it helps that Project: Sunburst was mentioned several times in other Champion suplments (or something like that). As for what I want to see in this book...well, I must state the "why create new". I do want more old charaters updated (prehaps with a can of paint and some of that old Steve Long magic). Of course, the wited up will royaly suck if Mr. Long dosen't feal anything for the charater. I agree that the Champions Universe needs a few more 'nice guy' villians. I don't mean more silly loons like Foxbat (please...one Foxbat is enougth). But, instead, some more Lady Blue type villians. Or, prehaps a villian who will rob and rampage, but will draw the line at killing. Which reminds me of Threebooter, who is a sereous villian with a funny name and odd power (he has three legs). Of course, he does have a sence of humor. Prehaps some more villians like him. As for groups... 1) A group of pro-mutant 'terroists' lead (controled) by Holocoast to be his fist when he eventuly takes over the United States. Unbenounced to them, Holocoast realy dosen't cair for mutant rights, but wants to use the movement to get into power. 2) Since your going to use some of thoes animal names anyways, may I sergest a villian group named The Managerie. As for single villians... 1) I would LOVE to see Mr. Long create a Nekojin (especaly a rather 'low-level' one who is an Malvan Gladiator). Of course, that would also confirm that Kayla is 'real' in the Champions Universe. But my guess is a swift 'no'. 2) I love the ideal of the Malvan Gladiator Finder guy. Go for it, Mr. Long. 3) More aliens, more mutants, and more hi-tech people. As for master villians... 1) I would love to see a Lex Luthor type guy...but NOT the type we have running in comics NOW. I want the Luthor guy from the Silver Age of comics...a wicked inventor and crinimal mastermind who is willing to kill a million people just to prove that one of his inventions works. 2) Is Lord Dire being updated for Champions Of The North? Yes, a kinder, gentler Mastermind.
  6. Re: VILLAINS, VANDALS, AND VERMIN -- What Would *You* Like To See? Yes. Please bring back Timemaster. Hear is one hook you can use for the new edition of TM. 1) Dr. Timithy Masters was/will be a profesor of history in the Cosmic Champions universe. This has crossover protental writen all over it. 2) Timemaster needs his suit to 'ancor' himself in our space/time. Any sinifigent damage to it will send him back to the future 9where he will 'waist presses time' fixing it and returns for his next atempt). 3) His main focuses is to conquer this time, but he is also intrested in filling gaps of lost history. 4) He is prevented by a time paradox from bringing over the vareous superweapions from Cosmic Champions into this world (well, most of them), so he has to focus on using his knolage here to create superweapions and such here. What do you think?
  7. Re: VILLAINS, VANDALS, AND VERMIN -- What Would *You* Like To See? True. Which is why one of my villian write-ups somewhere around here is one of The Brain, which is five brains in a mixture of alcemical salutions and blood in a golem body tank. I'm thinking your leader brain guy might just take the name The Brain, which will proably force me into chosing another name when I eventuly do something to The Black Tryangle. Anyways, I'm looking forward to VV&V.
  8. Re: Anime series as a campaign Im surprised nobody mentioned Sailor Moon (Teen Champions in a romantic blender). Or Coyotie Ragtime Show (Sci-Fi).
  9. Re: Anime series as a campaign Ah, like Jhon Melencap and his stand Couger. Or some oddball named George with his gender changing stand Boy. Oh, and don't forget the evil harman assasion Wu Tsung Chan (Wu Tang Clan...get it?). I guess it is easy to get ideals for stands and there users...but hard to write them up.
  10. Re: CHAMPIONS UNIVERSE: NotW -- Updating Villains
  11. Re: Whould you buy...CHAMPIONS SOUTH OF THE BORDER and CHAMPIONS OF THE RISING SUN. Yum! Yum! I'm just enjoying the flavor of my foot. You just can't beat the flavor of raw foot. (In other words, I assumed that there was a new version of KOC, and that it was almost ready, seeing that the first edition came out before CotN. And yes, that DOES make me an ass.)
  12. Well, since Kingdome Of Champions is in the editing stages, and Champions Of The North is in the writing stages, would you buy... CHAPMIONS SOUTH OF THE BORDER: A sourse book detaling superbeings from Mexico, Argentena, and all over South and Central America? CHAMPIONS OF THE RISING SUN: A sourse book detaling superbeings from Japan? If so, who should write eather book? What would you like to see in eather book? What would you rather not see in the books?
  13. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH -- What Would You Like To See?
  14. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH -- What Would You Like To See? Basicly, what eveyone has said, I want to see. Also, I would love to know exactly who is considered the bigest threat to Canada in the Hero Universe. Yes, I KNOW that lots of USA villians "slum" up to Canada. And of course, just the oposit is also true...many villians from Canada sneek down to the USA to cool off (and comit crimes down here), while waiting for the RMP to cool there jets in trying to find them. So, a list of Canadian Super Villians would be helpful. As would a list of Canadian Super Heros. Also, what important events shaped Canada, both real life and fictional? Is there a super villian group who wants reconition of Qubec any way thay can get it? And what is Canada's relationship with other countries?
  15. Re: Power And Name Help - Holocost's Brick Servent.
  16. Re: Power And Name Help - Holocost's Brick Servent. I don't want a Vision homage...Featherweight is able to increse and decrese his mass (basicly, how much he weighs), not his density (his solidity). As for Fever...thanks for the corection. I must be the worse speller on the board.
  17. Re: Power And Name Help - Holocost's Brick Servent. Wow...I ponder if this is what Mr. Long would come up with for HEROgyphes, if he were to give his recomendations? Oh, and I owe you some REP.
  18. Re: Power And Name Help - Holocost's Brick Servent. Humm...I forgot all about the Headsman member. And I use to call myself proudly a marvel zombie. For shame. Othoe, If I remember corectly, Chondu could (and did) take other formes (by transplanting his head to a body of other beings...thay tried to do so with a cloned body of She-Hulk once, if I remember corectly).
  19. Re: Power And Name Help - Holocost's Brick Servent. Sounds good. I might go with Armageddon Boys, since I think of theas guys as an 'old boys network' of mutants myself. Remember, Holocaust only SAYS he is for mutant rights...he dosen't acualy HAVE to show it by including girls into his group. Both sounds good, as far as names go. Basicly, I just thought up Hybird on the spot while creating this thread (based on crossing the curent image of Caslito with Archangle) because I thought I needed another body in this group (and the fact that Holocaust need not be 'bothered' to go into combat himself...that is what theas guys are for). Wow...I never thought of STR, usable on others, only usable on others for FeatherWeight. In a sence, he ocupies the same nitch as The Blob/Jugernaught did with the Brotherhood (basicly being a guy to keep the bricks in the group busy). I'll have to think about that some.
  20. I have a question. Has anyone ran my supervillian group The Black Tryangle in your campain? (For more information on them, please check the New Circle thread) If so, what do you think of them? Did you use all of the members, or just some of them? Did you replace some of the members with your own? Which of my demented twelve-some are your fave. villians?
  21. Re: Macroverse and Microverse? Acualy, when I first asked about Macroverses when I first posted my ideal of them in a post so long ago, I was pondering things like "what if the Champions Universe is in reality a atom in size...whould it be posable to 'grow' into another dimention?" and "what if someone from the so called Microverse could visit the Champions Universe by growing?". I diden't think of anything inbetween. But, anyways, I kinda like the special effect of Desolification for thoes who can grow ("your atoms are to far apart, dude...your sliping through the vary Earth itself").
  22. Re: Bad Powers Gee...remind me that in my normal ID, I am a simple Utility Clerk, why don't cha?
  23. I was strongly thinking of creating a villious superteam lead by Holocost (Holacost?) with some analogs with Marvel's "Brotherhood". Of course, Holocost SAYS he is pro-mutant, and only creating this team to defend his fellow mutants from harm and persacution... Well, anyways, this team needs a name. I was thinking "Holocost's Hord", but that dosen't exactly sound right. The members I have in my mind so far are... Holocost (leader): We need no introduction to this no-do-well, do we? Thung: Sometimes calls himself Thung The Wicked or Thung The Lasher, his main power is his powerful toung (and the skill to use it in combat). A slight analog to Toad. Blastphomie: A man raised religously, untill his mutant powers surfaced, and he was disowned by his parents. Calls himself Blastpomie out of rejection of his former religous belefes. Is able to fly and shoot powerful energy blasts from his mouth. Not an analog to anyone. (Needs a name): A mutant with the power to increse OR decrese his own mass (but not the mass of others). THIS is the guy I need the power help on. How would you write up his mass decrase power? I am thinking some TK with the limitation "Self Only" (meaning that he can only use it to suport his own weight), and enougth of it to be able to lift 1 ton (the maximum he is able to make himself weigh). A nasty trick I can see him do is decrese his mass enougth for someone like Thung to lift and throw him, then increase his mass mid-way to his target to crush him. Killjoy: Speedster with a blaid straped to his right arm. Basicly an analog of Quicksilver/Sabertooth. Feaver: Able to increse or decrease temputer of objects and himself. Basicly Pyro without the fire, and Iceman without the ice. (Needs a name): An inhuman looking mutant, with tenticals for arms, bird wings on his back, and tallons on his feat.
  24. Re: (Plot Seeds) Bride of Title Tag "And This, I Refute Telios" The PC's, in a preveous adventure, had faced some geneticly constructed humaoids created by Telios. One of there number rebeled agenst Telios and survived. Now, this being is trying to be recognised as a sentient being by the corts. And Telios is claming the the being is HIS PROPERTY and that the being should be returned to him promply. The PC's are asked to chose sides...eather the being in question has a right to exist as an independent being, or that he is simply property. (Alright...I realy don't know what refute means...but I did watch Unleashed. A good film, if you asked me.) Next Choices: "Pilgram Hymnal" "Left To My Own Devices" "Bewair: The Crazy8"
  25. Re: Infinite Worlds I myself was thinking about doing a series of dimention articals for Digital Hero. But I stoped myself, cause someone recently did a time travel artical for DH. I was going to call it HERO In 3D (after the infamous Champions In 3d supliment). I was going to cover Null Time (the dimention where time dose not move), The Microverse and The Macroverse, The Mindscape (the dimention within your own brain), and eventuly alternitive earths like Emperer Destroyer Earth (where Dr. Destroyer suseded in slaming a meteor down upon the North American continent, and now rules about 80% of the planet, with about 15% of the places he dosen't rule a total waistland) and Secret Hero Earth (where superheros exist...just not in the public eye). Anyways...it was a thought. Stanley R. Teriaca.
