  1. Re: Sidekick Questions... While I was searching for a RPG thats allow me to create anything, Sidekick was one of the reasons (not the only, btw) that make me select the Hero System. I was able to check the mechanics at a cheap price. Still, I may need to buy Fred latter.
  2. Re: Was watching Superman TAS and wondered about Mxyzptlk In one comic (after Crisis of Infinite Earths), when Superman wasn’t around, Mxyzptlk (Mxy) decided to take Lex Luthor as his victim. When attacked by some of Luthor’s security, in battle armors, he tough they where like transforming toys and transformed the armors, into flying ships, with the humans “pilots†still inside! Mxy condition to go was if Luthor managed to make him as bald as himself. Luthor tricked Mxy (I believe he used weapons against Mxy to destroy his hair). Mxy was so mad that he changed the room they where, and Luthor, for a few seconds and then disappear. The problem was that he learned to lie. In his next appearance he forced Flash and Superman to compete on a race. He told Superman that he must win if he wanted him to leave. Flash won (by a hair) and Superman find out that Myx was lying, and then he leaves. I don’t mind Myx, but I can only take him on (really) small douses.

  9. Re: Your PC's might be underpowered if... ... a cardboard piece in the chest is more than enough defense against your attacks. …you and your teammates pass more time in the hospital than in your headquarters and homes. ... you (the player) are more intimidating/powerful that your own character. ... a stormtrooper (of the Star Wars movies, not the RPGs) has better aim that you. ... flytraps are dangerous to you, and you are not tiny. … you are vulnerable to spring water. … Toad (pre X-Men movies) can beat your team. … your character will be a good example for “Pre-Teen Champions”, and not as a villain. … your END reserve is negative. … the write-up of your character is interchangeable with a write-up of Kenny of South Park. … people attack you if you try to rescue them, so they can avoid the shame. … your team is nicknamed the “street pizza”. … you live in fear of your mother. ... You have –3 in all your powers/skills ... you are the son of the Seeker.
  10. Re: Giant Transforming Robot Hero I found at least 2 web sites with Transformers. Sadly I don't have the websites' addresses with me. But I found a profile of Bumblebee that has the name of the creator, so I hope he would not mind. Due to his small size, Bumblebee dares to go where others can't and won't. He idolizes the bigger Autobots, especially Optimus Prime and Prowl, and strives to be accepted. Identifying Quote: "The least likely can be the most dangerous." Powers/Tactics: He is the most energy efficient and has the best vision of all the Autobots. He can go underwater for reconnaisance and salvage missions. Although physically the weakest Autobot, his stealth more than compensates for this inadequacy. Appearance: Bumblebee's disguised form is that of a yellow Volkwagen Beetle. Writer's Notes: The invisibility is to represent the ability that small cars have of being virtually unnoticed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Write-up copyright © 1996 by Tim Larson (spock@courtave.net)
  11. Re: The Magistracy Hunt You have a new reader.
  12. Re: Help with a Power Construction This article of the Digital Hero may or may not help you. Here is anyway Absorption Modified
  13. Re: where could i find..... Just do a search on the Internet for "Hero Games" or "Hero System". I find a lot of profiles this way.
  14. Re: The Ultimate Steve Long But if you abuse of the '"Abort to Steve Long" maneuver' power you will gain the Disadvantage "Hunted: Steve Long 8- (More Powerfull, NCI, Kill/Imprison)"
  15. Re: Anime Champions? Curious that I’m reading Kazei 5 right now. I’m half the book now and is a good recourse for anime and non-anime alike. In Kazei 5 there are a few powers mentioned related to music like “Power: +1/+2 with all music related skills” and “Power: Mimicry 14-, Perfect Pitch”. ========== Other RPGs converted to HERO System Check out under “BIG EYES, SMALL MOUTH”, “DRAGONBALL Z”, and “ROBOTECH”
  16. Re: Teen Champion Cover! Not bad, but not enough to motivate me to buy it. Sincerely I’m going to buy it because I’m interested in the theme, not because of the cover. Still, great art, I would have think that someone with that clothing will look stupid, but she does looks cool and cute on it. "I will not use super-powers in class."
  17. Re: The World of Edean I have been checking your “Hero a Day†topic and this topic and I just have to say that you have a new fan. The only problem I have is that I have yet to buy then Hero System (must send money order today ) so I don’t understand all (no I’m not asking for explanation, that’s my problem). Especially since I have yet to read all of your work, I been around only for 2 weeks. Keep them coming Enforcer84!
  18. Re: Finding Invisible Woman Another idea: Use the movies as a guide. Drop paint to her as an area attack, if the paint hits her she's visible! Yet another one: She may not emit sound, but does that means that she can step on something that will make a sound if steped on, like glass or broken wood, and don't emit any sound anyway?
  19. Re: Two Game Master's The last 2 RPG I play (well, I’m still playing the second) use tow different versions of Dual-GMs. Note, they both are Star Wars RPG campaigns, I just discover Hero System RPG this month. 1) Dark Side and Light Side campaign: One GM ran the Light Side campaign Friday while the other ran it Saturday. Outside the regular campaign planning the have to meet to discuss what each gamer did, since both games where played in the same city and the same history. Both teams meet in the last day of the game. I played on the Light Side, and we find out that when we where working on sabotage communications we helped the dark siders. One of us caused a distraction while the other 2 sabotage the communications. I turn out our distraction helped them to escape from jail. And that was just one of the time something like this happens. Having a “good guys†team and a “bad guys†what really fun. 2) To divide us in 2 groups: In our current campaign we are about 10 people playing. Having a second GM allow dividing us into 2 groups when needed. For example, in our last game, one GM controlled the team to destroy a space base with some military space ships (one of them a Super Star Destroyer), while the other controlled the team that caused a distraction with our space ships. The second GM just comes as needed or when there was more than one NPC in a scene. Of course we find at the end that we where the distracted, when the bad guy show up on a monitor while we where surrounded with other monitors that show wars in several planets.
