  2. Re: nations with royal families okay there are some great examples to pull from. what about former nations that have been consumed buy larger nations were the old royal family hold still have great social power or even just owners of powerful global corporations that still run them directly

Re: nations with royal families i was trying to avoid the middle east (kinda over done) but you have a point. my current story arch "lotto nation" will introduce my worlds version of Dr.Doom. so i need a small nation that could be reformed into a world threat very quickly but is so chaotic that without a strong leader could not be held together long

Make the earth move phase: full oc +0 dc -2 effect: ability/power gains area of effect (explosion) and double knock back (only to knock down) 5m rad penalty: power lose of 1/2 damage classes to pay for effect and must make a int check to strike proper spot explanation of fx: our hero directs his attack at the floor causing the area to violently shake I'm not home so pulling from memory but I hope you can get the idea when I get home I will try to post the list the main catch to these martial specials is the must have a way to implement it

  9. Re: How would YOU apply this attack? as a gm i always follow the idea that all off hand attacks are just extra non-modified attacks so the extra falchion would just be an extra 3d6<--at best damage but this is more a house rule i dont know what rule is inprint

  11. so my gm dreamed up a new default time measurement. The moment replaces the phase now don't trip (we did) the phase still exists when needed basically every moment equals 3 phases. The major result is more people can act in combat with out holding actions. Ill be honest I like it but how do you all feel about the idea

  13. Re: A super school Maybe the school itself has no divisions but instead there are fraternity like brake downs. As far as the school goes the students are made into project teams and assigned an upper class men handlers. This way if your playing a “flat scan” your frat might be that of prestiges Guardians (a group made up entirely of relatively normal humans) but was assigned team Xavier (mostly mutants) due to his high test scores in leadership this could rub other mutants badly but its good for role play fun and you can explore your origin to its fullest with out drifting from your team

  16. Hey everyone. I'm helping build a character and the power that has been envisioned is one that basically unties his actions from the speed chart the result he can take his actions on any phase as long as it is reactionary but he has no extra actions so if he is attacked by 3 thugs all acting on different phases and he has a speed of say 4 he could counteract each thug on the phase they acted on. I thought naked trigger to martial arts with the side effect lose next phase but is there a better way to do it.

  18. one of the new guys in my group brought me this power hand to hand weapons : Multipower, 10-point reserve, all slots Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2); all slots OAF (-1) cost 7cp slot 1 club weapon stick: Hand-To-Hand Attack +2d6 (10 Active Points); OAF (-1), Hand-To-Hand Attack (-1/4) cost 1cp slot 2 blade weapon: dagger: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 1d6-1 (1d6+1 w/STR) (10 Active Points); OAF (-1) cost 1 cp blade weapon: long sword: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand plus two to dmg class, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (15 Active Points); Linked (blade weapon: dagger; Lesser Power can only be used when character uses greater Power at full value; -1/2), IAF (-1/2) cost 3cp so how broken is this build. he explained his thoughts basicly the dagger and the long sword are differnt weapons but he can only use one at a time is it broken
  19. so I was looking at the automatons powers and it got me thinking what powers do you think make more sense as powers that a base. Note all base powers take days of game time to work Some ideas I have so far are locate: this is the base version of mind scan study: this power is a basically a detect power that works for csi work. gather Intel: this power grants a bonus to combat and skills but you must know your target I'm still working on cost
