Solo is a fun movie. Just watched it for the entertainment.
I was really hoping for a crime caper movie set in the Star Wars universe. So I was quite disappointed with what was delivered.

Star Wars was decidedly for kids, Lucas didn't change anything.
I am not much of a fan of Lucas but there is no denying he changed many things.
He made sfx an industry.
Made the music score a highly important part of the experience.
He created the movie merchandise industry.
I could go on. There is no denying SW was unlike anything that went before.

I do believe the original trilogy is the best and my confirmation was my son who saw episodes 1 to 6 in story order. Claimed to really love the prequels but the only one he would ever rewatch was The Empire Strikes Back.
There you go, conclusive proof

ps: wasn't Mace Windhu supposed to have mastered "dark" force techniques?

I will definitely be seeing this movie. The main reason being that I really like watching Ray and Fin on screen. I hope they give Fin stronger content this time.
If I had a wish, Luke would point out to the other ghosts how stupid the Jedi have been over the years and maybe suppressing emotions and keeping neutral is not such a great idea.

Fortunately it rarely looks quite so scare.

Sorry Disney, not going to buy your channel.
Mind you, news reports suggest it may be years before its available outside the US and I get the opportunity to "not buy it" ?

I think you have to be looking for problems to suggest that Shield one-liner causes continuity problems.
Really, if Shield was a real life organisation and given my exposure to bureaucrats and government, the name would be getting tweaked all the time.

On of the dangers of Gotham TV series is that by the time Batman gets on the scene all his villains are pensioners.
Batman, leave those oaps alone! Sheesh.

I think the real acid test for Larson will be how she portrays the character under another director.
Agreed. It might also be hard to join a group that has some established chemistry. But I have hopes

Everyone says, "you have Netflix? You must watch Discovery."

The only reason I can see for Portman wanting back in is so that she can be Jane Foster Thor and grrl power it up. No thanks. I don't want her anywhere near the MCU. I'm fine with the female Thor storyline being done in the MCU, but they can recast Jane.
I am usually a big fan of Natalie Portman. Can't really explain her performance in Thor.

This is scary imo.
Could this turn out to be the Inhumans of the movie franchise?

As long as Endgame brings back all the characters slain by Thanos, I'll be happy.
The funny thing is that those are the characters with a safe future. It's the ones that weren't dusted that you need to worry about

I think the worry about WB learning the wrong lessons for successful movies is a valid concern. That's what you see when you look at their history.
Anyway, fingers crossed that Shazam is good and WB learn to trust the material.

Or does the flerkin keep Fury as a pet?

In fairness, if this kind of thing starts happening every week in NZ it will drop off the pages of our news magazines very quickly.

I'm really torn here. On the one hand, this is fantastic and creative. On the other hand, I couldn't care less about my shoelaces.
I do this for my wife's doc Martins
Mainly because she is so bad with laces / shoe care

Its worth mentioning that there are other servers out there.
There is Thunderspy who are doing the most powerset related changes
and
Rebirth who are more conservative and are probably the closest to the game experience as it was when it was live.
These are small population servers, if that matters to you.
