  7. Well I wish I was a vampire so I could stay out all night long Wish I was Bob Dylan so I could write a bunch of hit songs And if I was a rolling stone, I'd roll right out of town But I wish I was a square so I'd stop coming back around I don't know why I forgive the things you do to me I don't know why I don't have the guts to set you free But if I had one more wish, I know what that would be Well, I'd wish I weren't your prisoner and that I could be released
  8. If you didn't care about your grade six weeks ago, why would you care now? More to the point, why would you expect me to care now?

  14. Q - Lockjaw smells awful! What's going on? A - I was a high school loser. Ah, those were the days.
  15. The first pub we could stagger to was twelve steps from the plane A Virgin flight to Shannon town the day it didn't rain The laughing eyes of Ireland sparkling blue and green With hair as black as Guinness stout and barely seventeen We're back out on the cobblestones, whisky drunk and high again Liquored up and gearing up for seven nights in Ireland The corner booth was waiting for the session to begin And it's quiet as a mother's prayer 'til we all stumbled in Then it's fifty happy voices mixed with whistles made of tin And a piper man is blowing like the North Atlantic wind An Erin island beauty is sawing on the violin I wonder if she'll miss me after seven nights in Ireland It's Ladies' Day at Galway and we watched the ponies run Fifty pounds against the odds and came in six to one McSwiggin heard the race report, he invited us all in So we drank Catholic whisky with all our newfound friends They raised a glass to all of us, and we all toasted them Here's to Michael, Tom, and Pat and seven nights in Ireland Well we kissed all the girls goodbye and gathered in our gear And when she walked me to the gate I swear I saw a tear But then she looked into my eyes, I knew she felt my pain And only then I realized we were standing in the rain So save our places at the pub, and when the eyes are dry again We'll come back another day for seven nights in Ireland
  16. Perhaps my favourite Rush song: Subdivisions
  17. Here at the bar, who cares what I do? I'm all alone, but I'm drinking for two Drowning the man that I used to be Nobody loves you like me I won't sign a thing, or else if I do, I'll use a pencil, and that will show you How nothing lasts, how nothing is free Nobody loves you like me I shouldn't stay, I think you'll agree It's no good for you, no better for me In the morning I'll go to a place far away Somewhere you'll never find me I catch a look, a thing that you say Out on the fire escape smoking all day Missing someone, now who could it be? Nobody loves you like me Noises outside, the trucks in the street Will cover my flight, my hero's retreat I'm supposed to feel bad, but I don't anymore Only when you remind me Air in my lungs, a cough and a wheeze Holes in the bellows and blood on the keys You'll move along, there's nothing to see Nobody loves you like me Nobody loves you like me
  18. Every once in a while I will include a question on an exam that gives, as part of the question, the answer to different question. It's always interesting to see how many people will miss that second question anyway. (Five students in two class periods, on this occasion.)
  19. As Yoda would speak them are all the questions phrased.
