  4. That would require both. It's my understanding that you can only receive clairsentient input with senses you already possess. Since it's the computer with the clairsentience, it would need the senses (I assume so, since you can buy it groups.) Is that not the case?
  5. Senses, yes, but not clairsentience on top of those senses - because the drone will physically be there and I don't have to simulate its presense.
  6. The word is "Geodesic" The shortest line between two points that lies in a given surface. Or "best course."
  7. I hadn't thought of putting movement ON the computer. That would elimate the need for clairsentience if they can transmit the data. Is that even allowed? Computers don't have def and body and such...(although that would be overcome if I bought the computers as a focus, yes?)
  8. Japan's superheroes are typically aliens or cyborgs. Do a search on Ultraman and Kamen Rider for example. Also, you can see samples in American (poorly done) imports. Power Rangers, Cyber Samurai Squad (whatever that was... originally Gridman), Virtual Troopers (I think it was Metalder in Japan). Etc. I see no reason why the french would dress all that different, to be honest, than the "norm" for supers in your world (let alone anyone else). I would imagine a place like China empahsises less individuality and might insist on uniforms (but I also see them as pulling them all into gov't service of some kind).
  9. I'm trying to figure out how to load little, autonomous sensor drones into a vehicle. Basically, they are little balls that fly around for recon and transmit data back to the character or the vehicle's computer. Now, I was originally going to use Clairsentience, but I wanted 1) multiple drones and 2) senses on the drones not on the vehicle. So my next idea was Duplication on the vehicle. Vehicles however, get jack for being "tiny." Since they are always tiny, Shrinking Always On seems an option, but that seems against current design philosophies. Also, it would require additional computers to run them... since they're duplicates, who pays for the computers? The vehicle? No, that definitely doesn't seem kosher. The character? But the dupes don't exist most of the time... So what if the duplicates were "characters?" Again, the Shrinking thing seems against current design philosophy. So outrageous Concealment and Stealth seems like a good angle to take. Buy down most of the stats to make them fragile, a little flight. Wallah. So my last idea, and the one I think works best, would be a couple computers bought by the character with clairsentience (thus, multiple independent operation) and defining them as part of the vehicle (just like normal computers). This would require some sort of lim to allow the tiny guys to be seen and swatted out of existance ("visible" just makes it visible... these are supposed to be sneaky...) Whew.... any better ideas? Or do I seem to have it covered? Thanks
  10. This new DVD release is "news" (I kind of have industry access). No news on any further releases.
  11. I don't think I can play Turbo Teen I'm building up the stats of a couple these ideas to see how they work out. Sometimes my imagination is a lot bigger than my points budget.
  12. .... but the world was actually much smaller and lighter then.
  13. News: On 4/22 there will be a new Justice League DVD release titled "Justice on Trial" It will include 4 episodes - the In Blackest Night story and The Enemy Below story.
  14. Re: Re: Your PCs might be Underpowered if... I keep telling them, I'm only flying next to falling damsels because it's easier to look up their skirts... no need to fear.
  15. Yes, all base stats, only everyman skills... nothing else. He did survive combat. He managed to stealth (8 or less) into that villain's base and survived a 4d6 KA to the head from Mark's psycho samurai dude. I hate his villains! That's why he retired. lol ...... This thread has been great, imo. Now I might have too many good ideas worth looking into.
  16. How about a gadgeteer with a VPP with the lim "can only simulate powers of devices he's studied." So he can do any of the mundane stuff... guns, radios, etc. But as time goes on, he's whipping out any old focus of any villain he's thwarted. "Why, yes, these are just like Binder's boot jets. The real question is, where do you want the next ping pong ball?" Ok, that stinks, too.
  17. Seems the general consensus is that hot, half naked superheroines are good worldwide.
  18. We don't have a team name... we just show up when ordered to and hope nobody is looking.
  19. Well, groovy. I'll have to dig out that ol' book and see Nice to know I was pretty much in line with things (I'm told I usually under-value some lims...*shrug* I don't think so, but... hey, what can you do?)
  20. SF Bay area, also. You get all the stuff from San Fran to Silicon Valley and everything in between. I think port cities are important just to open it all up.
  21. Well, I think stuff like fighter jets, buses, and tanks might be more common than dinosaurs, but maybe not. Truth be told, I can't think of a whole lot lifting that is too common. Usually it seems like brick strengths come in "hold this walling wall up" or something which is totally different. Maybe common tractors or construction equipment (bulldozers)? Steel girders? Telephone poles? Dumpsters (there's on in every allyway in comicbook world)? Are highway overpass sections a uniform length for the most part? Or are they just all willy nilly? Either way maybe you can list "5 meteres of typical overpass section" if it's not too long. More boats might work. 50' Yacht. Tugboat. Garbage Scow. Maybe include stuff, too, like pianos and anvils... I'm just trying to think of anything you see superheroes catch and hold over a baby's head and smile as they hand they their balloons they just lost... heh
  22. Well, after saying I didn't care for the watercolor style previously and then liking this piece, I felt it fair to point out that perhaps my initial comments were not due to the "style" but rather the color pallet and I was unable to recognize that previously. Am I reading too much defensiveness into your responses (problem with the text medium)? Seems like you don't really want feedback discussion and I find myself feeling like I somehow have to justify my comments.
  23. lol In my group I'm the guy with the most characters with experience points. There was a point in time where I never played the same character more than maybe 2 or 3 times before I would cast it off for some other "cool new idea" and then I have 3 characters with high xp totals that seemed to come up out of these mad rushes. I'm trying to avoid another revolving door thing here. But sometimes revisting some old stuff is cool, too... especially with more know-how and ideas to blend in. Like that Mechanon idea. I could squeeze in that the renegade robot "son" is running around with the brain patterns of a golden age hero due to a computer malfunction while he was being programmed - Mechanon had this info stored to study to try to figure out a way to measure "human heart and courage." After a few criminal acts, the MechaJr starts tapping more and more into it and goes on the straight. There's three ideas put together into something that might be interesting.
