  1. Didn't see anyone talking about this, but I wondered if anyone was watching the Gotham Knights on WB. I had forgot about it so missed most of it and haven't started watching unless they replay it. I found the premise funny due to this: At the same time they were releasing this, they were releasing a Gotham Knights game (a semi sequel to the excellent Arkham Knights series of games). The premise was that Bruce is dead (the start of the game you see his body), apparently killed when the Batcave collapsed in a fight between he and Raz. So, Dick, Barbara, Jason and Tim take over defending Gotham. Own the game but haven't played yet. So, in the tv series, apparently Bruce is dead and Bruce's adopted son Turner Hayes (you are forgiven if you don't recognize the character as he didn't exist before the series) teams up with the children of some of Batman's enemies (Duela Dent, Harper and Cullen Row, Stephanie Brown, etc) to find out who killed him. OK, first, why not use Damian as this is exactly the type of thing he would do, using villains children to as vigilantes, why create a whole new character? 2nd, Why not use the 4 characters from the game, unless there is some problem with licensing?
  2. what does it say that I don't see either thing the slice of life person said, but i do see the Stone Dog Titan.
  3. I think Bumgarner is a classic example of a peak pitcher. To many high leverage innings in a short time, especially playoffs. Saw a thing on MLBNow today about Kershaw and how, not counting playoffs, from 2010 to 2015 he was the best pitcher in baseball, not even close, except in playoffs (remember the Bumgarner vs Kershaw debate?), so, last 6 years when he has declined - well his innings are down about 600 total BUT his statistics are almost identical in a per 9 inning category. And really, the bad in playoffs thing was almost all about St. Louis and most pundits truly believe they knew what pitches he was going to throw. Now look at those 2, Kershaw is a first ballot HOFer, truly he ranks in top 10 all time pitching, but is Madison?
  4. Hmm, pretty sure Half-Life has levels that look like that. Those are not safe to walk in.
  5. Having a super hero name you can't tell people is dumb. Honestly, if you can't use the Captain Marvel moniker, you could have actually come up with something else, Avatar comes to mind, though there is probably someone named that out there, but don't feel like searching.
  6. Honestly, I would say that about every Batman villain, that series went a long way to making the villains have depth of character and influenced much of what came after.
  7. Yeah, I liked the Weapon Developer/Dealer Penguin.
  8. This really needed the captcha "Are you a Robot" test before the answer.
  9. I don't replay a lot of games, especially story based, as I am one of those who chase down every collectable/quest my first play through. Only games I can remember truly replaying just to replay (and not to play the harder versions because there is a change - like Max Payne 2) is the Borderlands series. But part of that is playing different characters with different abilities.
  10. I don't know, for our senior breakfast, the band spent an hour (I am not exaggerating this as we started laughing about it), while we were eating, setting up and playing their hit Check...Check...mic check. Think the hiss might have been better.
  11. <sarcasm almost always on> I hope this doesn't mean I support her stance on Trans people?<sarcasm never really off>
  12. Remember one other thing, every sacrifice bunt doesn't count as an at bat, so doesn't hurt the average, unless they reach base safely, in which case it was a hit.
  13. Thanks. I have it on my Steam wish list and hope by the time I can get around to buying and playing it that they will iron out some of the porting to PC problems. Seems strange that a game like this, at this point, would fail in some of the ways you mentioned (not sitting down?) but otherwise I am looking forward to it.
  14. Sorry, is this not a fact and belongs in a reality thread, not joke thread? 😜 Sorry, is this not a fact and belongs in a reality thread, not joke thread? 😜 This person should read Seanan MagcGuire's Dying with her Cheer Pants On. 15. Honestly, I don't disagree and if was my team, would pitch to him in those situations. this is probably more a comment on last season, when, despite the stats saying that most the guys around him were having close to the worst seasons of their careers, teams continued to let him beat them.
  16. Given it gave the Yankees a 1-0 lead, maybe.
  17. After last season, stop pitching to him until every one around him proves they can beat you. Baseball 101 going back to the beginning. Don't let the best player on the other team beat you.
  18. Not sure which is worse, that he is getting paid 3.59m still OR that it is the 4th highest paid player on the current team?
  19. Saw John Wick: Chapter 4. Appears to be the conclusion of the series. Loved The Warriors reference in the last 3rd. Otherwise, pretty much more of the same.
  20. could be 12002 or 12003 depending on your rounding.
  21. I also think that, with a lot of these being released to streaming in addition to theaters, you have to somehow include those amounts. I think it is a disservice to the movies not to. If even a quarter of the movie patrons aren't going because they can just watch it on their disney+ or whatever, that can be a big number, especially if they are a family of 3-4.
  22. Actually, was 9th hitter got on before Betts. Ohtani got Betts to hit into double play, which makes it more awesome.
  23. I always felt that Beetle Bailey was the impetus for Gomer Pyle. I am probably wrong, but there were similarities.
  24. I would have to say I liked the Dr. Sivana and Mister Mind post credits from the first movie much better then this one, a little too silly for me instead of the sinister tone the first presented. And the first credits scene i didnt care for at all, but then, I am not a fan of Waller or the flunkies.
  25. I am sorry to hear is doing terrible. It really is worth watching.
