  1. Saw Shazam last night. Is excellent. loved the ending. Interesting use of the daughters of Atlas seeming in some ways to be the Fates (Hag, Mother and Maiden) in appearance. I would rate this as, maybe, better then the first though some of the teen angsty stuff can be cringeworthy from my age standpoint, and put it with almost any of the better Marvel movies. Only problem I have, and this probably included the first one, is that Levy tends to play this role, IMO, younger then the actual protagonist is. I feel like he is playing it as a child more then a teen, and older teen at that.
  2. I still remember one of my favorite comics was a team up of Spidey, DD and Black Panther. They went after some gang that was in a warehouse and when they attacked one of the gang members killed the lights yelling that now the heroes couldn't see them. Needless to say, that did not end up being the smartest move.
  3. Assuming this has something to do with Welcome to my Nightmare, but very cool picture.
  4. Been stuck in hotel for basically 2 weeks so caught up on some Prime viewing. Season 1 of Vox Machina: enjoyable, I can see the gamer basis in it. Crude at times but otherwise I liked it. The Peripherals: About 8 episodes into this. Show involving what seemed to be VR, but apparently is much more. Good actors in it, decent writing, haven't finished season 1 so can't say entirely what mystery is about. Carnival Row: Finished season 1, very dark and mostly depressing, but everyone in it is excellent. Reminds me a lot of The Alienist. Elves and fairys etc are real and are refugees in late 1800s/early 1900sin late 1800s/early 1900s London in late 1800s/early 1900s. Interesting twists along the way. Orlando Bloom as a detective and Cara DeLivigne as his former lover head the cast. Mythica: A Quest for Heroes: first in a series of fantasy movies straight to video purported to star Kevin Sorbo, who appears in the first one less then 10 minutes. Special Effects remind me of the Hercules/Xena. Was a total popcorn movie, not sure if I will watch the rest. Samaritan: A young boy thinks a garbage man in his neighborhood is an old superhero who is supposedly dead and tries to get him to come out of retirement. Meanwhile, a new villain using the name of Samaritan's enemy Nemesis appears. I will say, I saw the twist from the beginning. Stars Stallone as the Garbage Man.
  5. I find it interesting AEW is playing out the home grown vs big name free agent scenario in the women's division. I have been commenting about this for awhile in AEW, especially with bringing in the older guys and putting them over on younger guys (the latest being Jeff Jarrett). It will be interesting to see if they sign Jay White now that he has left NJPW and what they would do with him. I don't think they could give him the championship, as I am pretty sure that was part of getting MJF to come back.
  6. I feel like this must be how Christopher feels about half the movies he sees, hehe.
  7. None of this really surprises me. they have been clearly setting up House of Black and I think they want the Elite to begin competing for the Heavyweight and tag championships again. Wardlow beating Joe was an almost no brainer as I also think they want to semi seperate ROH and AEW. Jericho has been better then most the veterans at putting over younger talent. Page needed this victory more then Moxley. Moxley still headlines without the title, Page doesn't really. and the Perry/Cage feud needs to be ended.
  8. One of my beliefs is that every warning label on anything, no matter how stupid it may sound, is there because someone tried doing it and lawyers got involved. Ok, I’ll bite, how many Carlos’s to a giraffe.
  9. Ohtani commented that a lot of the time he shakes off because he wants to throw a certain pitch, so this will negate that and speed things up, which is what I meant. It looked to me like Greinke was shaking the catcher off a lot.
  10. I do think this is where pitchers using pitchcom or whatever it's called to call their own pitches will make a difference
  11. Fox Sports channel and the fox soccer channel show Aussie rules football. the main channel is usually 1 or 2 games a week, soccer channel many more. I record the main as I don't have the soccer one.
  12. I recently watched a show on evolution of supers on tv and they covered the Reeves Superman, West's Batman, Carter's Wonder Woman and of course the Bixby/Ferigno Hulk. The interviews with West were fascinating with his early fights with the Suits over the seriousness of the character (they wanted more, he wanted it just as it was played, he won but it too its tollon Adam. Also, the outfits he and Ward wore were some of the most uncomfortable costumes existing).
  13. So you prefer the Nomar Garciaparra 5 minutes per pitch at bats?
  14. Interestingly, your prediction turned out correct.
  15. As someone pointed out on a show I was watching, Jabbar scored that much making only 1 3 pointer in his career.
  16. Someone liked Invincible too much and thought using Mon-El would be perfect in that role.
  17. And I suspect with the actors/characters seen, not a lot of acting having to go on.
  18. I would say go ask Troy Aikman, but he can't actually remember most of them.
  19. Hmm, a mob hit cat. Wonder how much it got paid for that job making it look like an accident.
  20. no, works like inches to feet or centimeters to meters. So many Corgis to Giraffe.
