  1. 'Cooking with Semen' Class to Open in London ... Maybe A London events booking company will offer a "BYOS" (Bring Your Own Semen) culinary class if, and only if, enough interested parties apply.
  2. Norway's prime minister caught playing Pokémon Go during a debate (Paste isn't working for the link. Sorry)
  3. Indeed, it plays with multiple views on that. Wait till you get to the chapter with the Wolverine powerset, doing heroics that the official Wolverine would never think of, and saving people in a way the flying brick can't even aspire to.
  4. Is anybody else following this? A quick search didn't turn up many results. it's a webcomic about a lady with the standard Flying Brick powerset (flying comes in partway through the series). Just awesome writing. The current arc just went in a super dark direction that really suprised me. Strongfemaleprotagonist.com
  5. Of course, St. Nicholas was Turkish (or, Greek living in what is now Turkey, buy I'm murican and can't tell the difference)
  6. Wait, Michael Jordan was an actual player on an actual baseball team. What was going on there? And Nolan Ryan? The heck?
  7. So I got in my car and I drove over to the donut shop And I walked on up to the guy behind the counter And he says "Yeah, what do ya want?" I said "You got any glazed donuts?" He said "No, we're outta glazed donuts" I said "Well, you got any jelly donuts?" He said "No, we're outta jelly donuts" I said "You got any Bavarian cream-filled donuts?" He said "No, we're outta Bavarian cream-filled donuts" I said "You got any cinnamon rolls?" He said "No, we're outta cinnamon rolls" I said "You got any apple fritters?" He said "No, we're outta apple fritters" I said "You got any bear claws?" He said "Wait a minute, I'll go check" "No, we're outta bear claws" I said "Well, in that case - in that case, what do you have?" He says "All I got right now is this box of one dozen starving, crazed weasels" I said "OK, I'll take that"
  8. It's a general problem in the conspiracy theory genre. How on earth could the thousands involved in the Apollo 'fake' keep such a secret a secret? In a similar vein, I kept wondering about the dudes 11 kept killing. They lived in the community. They had families and friends. How did the lab cover those up? Whole lotta car crashes?
  9. My wife loves Dr. Pimple popper on youtube. Somebody made her cupcakes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg1TBmtXjsw
  10. https://www.reddit.com/r/StrangerThings/comments/4x8fip/where_the_upside_ends/ (It would honestly be kinda funny if they made just a few Stranger Things VHS tapes to auction off) Oh, and the DOE put out a 'fact check' of the show. http://energy.gov/articles/what-stranger-things-didn-t-get-quite-so-right-about-energy-department
  11. Ah, the Wizard of Speed and Time. I remember that movie. I posted earlier the youtube channel "Primitive Technology". He just made his first iron! just little beads. Not enough to do anything with. I just thought the demo of his new bellows was pretty cool. (although it doesn't look like it will provide terribly consistent heat)
  12. Quite simply, Mad Science. Some Japanese high school students successfully hatched a chicken without an egg. They cracked a fertilized egg into a stretched out bit of plastic kitchen wrap. sealed it, then incubated it. It lived! It ran around like a regular chicken and not an affront to God at all. EDIT: Snopes points out that this is not he first time this has been done. First time by high school students, maybe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uab762e_rK8
  13. A fun side-by-side of Stranger Things with assorted 80s movies it drew from.
  14. Florida Man shot at some teenagers playing pokemon go in a car. They weren't even trespassing. He blew out one of their tires. He claims he came at them with gun drawn, but he didn't shoot until they nearly hit him driving away. https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-man-opens-fire-teenagers-125945182.html?nhp=1
  15. Although I did watch some anime later which made all the nosebleeds seem really funny. In US cinema, a nosebleed means something terrible happened to your brain meats. In Japanese cartoons it means something entirely inappropriate for a 12 year old girl.
  16. Highly recommended! I don't binge watch things, but every episode ended on a cliffhanger, and I just couldn't stop until I'd finished. I especially liked that tabletop RPGs were very prominent. While videogames and even CCGs have been positively shown on TV, tabletop rpgs are usually played by people who either accidentally summon a demon or violently lose touch with reality. (granted, those examples were LARPers.) Okay, I did roll my eyes when their setting book actually proved useful, but still it was a nice change of pace. Demogorgon indeed. And wow, Winona Ryder was absolutely convincing as a mother on the edge of madness. All the actors did a good job, really. The little girl playing Eleven was perfect. And the sets and wardrobes really sold the 80s. What was amusing was that the show was even more 80s pop culture aware than a TV show from the 80s would have been. When a mom wants to bond with her kid, she doesn't surprise him with tickets to the movies, she surprised him with tickets to Poltergeist.
  17. Here's what I found interesting. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/dallas-police-ambush/dallas-police-used-robot-bomb-kill-ambush-suspect-mayor-n605896 Ladies and Gentlemen, we now have precedent for lethal use of drones in policing. EDIT: I should have said lethal use of robots, as this robot didn't fly and had no autonomy, even for movement. It also wasn't designed for or originally purchased for lethal intent. So we have a few more lines in the sand to cross before ED-209 or even Reaper drones conducting domestic patrols.
  18. Took too long, but there are some statements coming out http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3680211/It-doesn-t-look-good-NRA-podcast-host-breaks-silence-police-shooting-reported-legal-gun-owner-Philando-Castile-accused-racial-bias.html
  19. A while back Sarah Palin said she'd prefer a 'tough' president to one who could perform at trivial pursuit, and I thought, that's something I'd like to see. Better than umpteen debates, anyway. Substitute a debate or two for a political/government/international trivia board game? Or maybe just watch them play axis and allies or something? Hmm, maybe I'll go set up a poll somewhere.
  20. I am disturbed. Half your age plus 7, dude.
  21. "Tramps Against Trump" will send you a picture of a naked person if you vote for someone who isn't Trump. (not just naked ladies either) (that link is PG13) I kind of thought it was illegal to give stuff to people for voting a particular way. But then, they just have you send a picture of yourself at the booth. So a person could vote Trump and still get the Pr0n, I think. I didn't read the previous pages, so sorry if it is a repeat, but in related news, 1,500 women volunteered to protest the Republican convention naked.
  22. I wonder how the handlers avoid the poison spurs.
  23. So, adult filmmaker will no longer be required to verify ages and keep record of that? I don't find this a positive development.
