  1. Re: Omcv 1? In the "unintended consequences" category, that reminds me to start populating my Gamma World game with TLV Psionic gear *now*.
  2. Re: 6e Discussion: Combat Values I agree, but it doesn't seem like that's where the bulk of the rules are.
  3. Re: Omcv 1? That's what I was thinking! (Clearly, you didn't sell YOURS back)
  4. Re: Omcv 1? Referring back to the Thread Title, I would be inclined to add a use for OMCV into the game (that actually uses Mental Combat, otherwise it gets yanked with the rest), rather changing the cost. Maybe some kind of Detection Sensory roll? Maybe a bonus to Breakout rolls? Alternatively, one of the Interaction skill rules alternates that are floating about , and then we can leave DMCV in also, even in non-mentalist games.
  5. Re: Omcv 1? I think that's the way Steve would handle it also... "Dormant Abilities", 6E1. p 46.
  6. Re: March of the Munchkin Half effect against defensive abilities like CON, BODY, STUN? Either way, ouch.
  7. Re: Omcv 1? What he said. Exactly what he said.
  8. Re: Omcv 1? Oooh, and it counts against your limit... I like it!
  9. If I have a +1 Skill Level with All Agility Skills, and make Breakfall and FastDraw skill rolls as my action in a phase, are they both at +1, or do I have to allocate the Skill Level to one or the other as a zero phase action?
  10. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice This might be a Heroic v. Superheroic assumption about CSLs thing, because I agree with you, especially without another handy way to get through armor at the Heroic level (which is where I play).
  11. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice The Aid math seemed a bit complicated, is all.
  12. Re: 6E: Weaponmaster, Deadly Blow, and Killing dice I do have some concerns that this is the new, "easier to understand", method of adding damage. Nobody ever said easier was necessarily easy, I guess.
  13. Re: 6E Rules changes confirmed so far Heh. I see what you did there.
  14. Re: Silly Question: Rita Hayworth's COM? "Obvious Inaccessible Focus doesn't mean what you think it does."
  15. Re: 6th Edition Hero System Roundabout 19, it decompresses to 21 and 11.
  16. Re: equipment list I'm not sure if you mean weapons or gear, but the one I'm using for my post apocalyptic game is here http://www.goblinnet.org/director/gw/docs/HERO%20Equipment%20Stats.pdf (I fell into the "statting out a flashlight" trap, though. And it's "in progress", of course)
  17. Re: Breakout Why not just call it five (points) to simplify, and have a similar price structure to other power options?
  18. Re: Power "Cooldown": how to write up You're better at this sort of thing than I am, but doesn't 5er specifically give an example of extra time working like charges? So if you added the limitation to the MP itself, you'd have to wait for the whole MP to "cool down" before you could use it again? In this case putting the limitation on the MP AND the slots gives you a 2x cooldown limitation (potentially allowing you to create slots with 3 or 4x for more restricted points)?
  19. Re: Telepathic race with no other sensory organs 20Physical Limitation: Blind, Mute, and Deaf (All the Time, Greatly Impairing) ?
  20. Re: Piercing I think I might go for 1 CSL for Resistant Piercing, 2 CSLs to overcome a level of Hardened (or Lack of Weakness). Again, that's slanted for Heroic scale games, I can see it going differently in Superheroic.
  21. Re: Piercing Oooh. You know, I've never built an NPC or monster with lack of weakness in my current game, but I think that's a good idea generally. (None of the mutatnts have ever built that power specifically, and the Talent I built to mimic Find Weakness was on a character that died too quickly to see it in action.)
  22. Re: Piercing 5er page 54. "Three-point CSLs can apply to OCV, DCV, or damage as outlined above; except for the fact that they can increase DCV and damage, they generally function like 2-point CSLs." So yes to the "minimum of 3 point CSL to improve damage". Points into Piercing might alsod help out with those low base damage weapons that are already maxed out at 2X DC because of STR. It's either that or houserule a hit location for "unarmored bit", but this seems quicker.
  23. I'm considering allowing CSLs to be used to buy levels of Piercing, the way they currently can be used to boost OCV or Damage. Heroic level campaign, attacks usually in the 4 - 8 DC range, defenses in the 4 - 10 rPD range. Right now, I'm thinking 1:1 to start. Thoughts about how unbalancing this might be in what's basically a Dark Champions game?
  24. Re: Secrets of Gamma World I know what you mean. I've been able to "salvage" stuff from half a dozen other peoples' work on the web, plus at least that mean official supplements, and it's still slow going.
