Twilight
Alright I'm creating a character for a game and I desperately need a name for the guy. He's a teenage superhero who's also the Son of Nama, though he doesn't realise this at the moment and naturally he never knew his father. He's superstrong, about 40 STR or thereabouts and also has superhuman reflexes and flexibility. He's very agile and practises Hebijutsu, possibly with a few chi related abilities from either Ninjutsu or Snake Style Kung Fu. Definetly has a spitting venom power and might have hypnotic eyes as well. So what do I call this kid?
Hermit
Forgive me if this has been answered /posted elsewhere here... but who's Nama?
Twilight
Originally posted by Hermit Forgive me if this has been answered /posted elsewhere here... but who's Nama? He's in the VIPER sourcebook. He's basically a snake god who's responsible for the creation of VIPER. He doesn't run the orginization per se, they're more like a safety measure against superheroes since Nama is worried that they might be able to harm him. KA.
Kid Viper! Or "Bobby" (Sorry, obscure G.I. Joe reference.) Actually, how about something like BackBiter or Serpent's Tooth. (Not trying to steal from an upcoming product, but the whole "ungrateful child" reference is just too strong to ignore.) Or, you could go in the opposite direction with something like Mongoose. KA. Hermit
Ah. Afraid that's on my 'to get list' (In fact, the 4th Ed VIPER was so good I'm not in a hurry) thanks all.
Blue
Naturally any old snake name will do. I'll toss in the lesser used... Fang Naja Coil Serpentine But I also kind of like Ouroboros (The snake that eats it's own tail). ...Now suddenly I'm thinking about another villain and I haven't even completed the poll one yet. levi
If he's a Hero, then I am guessing he has split from Viper. So I wouldn't give him a snake-themed name at all. He is a strong, fast martial artist with Hypnotic Eyes...name him something with a Dragon theme to it. Still vaguely reptilian, but with Asian cultural overtones. That should keep most people from associating him with Viper. Maybe something like... (Color) Dragon (Metal) Dragon Dragonbane Dragonstar Dragoneye Dragonclaw Dragonfang Hope that helps... Ghost who Walks
How can I top Boa's list? (King Snake is a major villain IMC) Snake Charmer Snakeman Supersnake Adam (as in Genesis) Boy Snake (started career early) The Spitter (named by Rival) The Biter (named by teacher) El Nagal As a side note, possible HQ's for the Naga http://www.naga.gov.ph/ http://www.angelfire.com/mo/Nagaland/
winterhawk
A species of spitting cobra is called a Ringhals or Rinkhals...doesn't exactly roll of the tounge, but if he's a younger hero, I can see him going by Ringo or Rink. austenandrews
Viper was created by a snake god to protect him from superheroes? Boy, I hope that scans better in the sourcebook, 'cause it sure sounds lame here. Then again it's a Hydra clone and I don't recall what Hydra's origins were ... -AA
