farik
Alternate Earth Characters #6 Your GM has announced he's going to run an alternate Earth game and he wants you to make a modified version of your character to fit his "Alternate Earth Setting. The GM is being deliberately unclear about whether you'll be playing your alt character or if your regular character will be facing them. So what is different about your character from Aqua Earth It's like earth but it's aquatic; Atlantis is on dry land and reaching the atmosphere is the equivalent of entering space in the real world. Bengal
I think the main difference is, they breathe water.
Fuzzy Gnome
Aviation pioneer Ace found the Atlantean Albatross Amulet on dry land. Now he can breathe air and soar like an albatross. Seraph can breathe water naturally instead of needing a spell. Otherwise no changes. Lin-Si uses a martial art suited to water. 3D tactics, grabs, one-inch punch, kiai shout, that sort of thing; no throws or sweeping movements. Plasma... currently is powerless underwater. Aqua Plasma might never become a superhero, or take much more training and experimentation to get her powers to work underwater. Most likely she'd never realize she could use her plasma control powers for force fields and energy blasts and stuff. She might become a powersuit character instead, or not be a superhero at all. Blue
I imagine they would drown. Anthem's primary skills involve throwing things, acrobatics, and martial arts. Tha'ts a pretty sucky way to make a living underwater. Uncle Slam would still function the same... though presumably slower.
McCoy
Dolphin: no change. He spends most of his free time comuning with aquatic creatures anyway.
Hermit
Golden Hunter comes from ancient Malva, and assuming this is only Earth that's gone Aquatic... he'd find another planet instead of coming there since both Firewing and he don't have the "Works under water " advantage for their flight Hellooo Dorvalia
Chuckg
Starguard -- little change, except her VPP is used less for 'flying energy blaster' things and more for 'underwater sorceress' type things. Dr. Pain -- little change, except he swims like Attuma. Atlantis is famous for its bricks. Baron von Darien -- little change.
Vex
Adrenaline would be a super-powered dolphin. Realm would be an anthromorphic crab. Hecabus would be the same, except for the little gills on the side of his neck.
Twilight
Well villain wise there would be no change for Twilight. The Dark Carnival and VIPER would just have underwater versions for him to fight and be part of his origin. Combat wise he would be pretty different. His martial arts style would be designed to work in an aquatic setting for starters and instead of his trusty crossbow he'd probably have a speargun type weapon. Most of his trick arrows would remain, though the glue gun would probably be altered to something that wouldn't dilute underwater and naturally he wouldn't have a napalm arrow. The Twilight Cycle would become some sort of mini sub of course.
farik
The Husky form would probably be some kind of humanoid shark with extra octupus limbs and a crablike carapace. Maybe he'd be called salty. Amphibious breathing would allow Kenneth to use his "Salty" persona to explore the dry world allowing him to escape his "normal" life beneath the waves. Glen Sprigg
Hmm...Comet's powers won't work underwater, so he's either gone or radically changed to a straightforward 'flying' brick. Likewise, an ice-projector isn't going to do much except float, which wouldn't be all that impressive. Shadowhawk would still be a vigilante, although crime-fighting and detective techniques would be different underwater. Archangel would be mostly unchanged, except he wouldn't have wings. Guest WhammeWhamme
Underwaterworld Flippant: He was 'repaired' to be an airbreather in the other dimension, and so had to use his powers to survive upon his return... He became something of an exile, and currently lives on the surface world, an interdimensional trader perhaps. Hey, that is coool. Underwater Wraith: Hrm. Different geographic locations, same general background. Perhaps his ability to sense ghosts is in a different group, but, meh.
