They're doing a "birds of prey" presentation after-hours, and the guy running the presentation decided to do a teaser by bringing in the most photogenic of the birds. Great Horned Owls have fuzzy feets. I'd forgotten. ^ v ^

AliceTheOwl
Re: Musings on Random Musings I've seen one up close in a presentation. They are BIG! Indeed. This was a boy owl, so he's not even that big a specimen of Great Horned. (It's called reverse sex dimorphism when the females of a species are bigger than the males, and that's true for most owl families.) He was still pretty big. [/quote'] When I saw it (not sure if male or female) It fixated on a crystal necklace a girl in the front row was wearing, and took off at it. Luckily it was tied to the trainers arm. The trainer ended up on his knees, The girl's chair was in the third row (her in it), and the owl on the floor hopping toward her trying to pull the trainer. Logan D. Hurricanes
Oink oink Ok' date=' Log, what's the backstory?[/quote'] Librarians have a certain reputation for stodginess. I just want to say that, in my experience, that is not completely accurate. Perhaps for the over forty crowd, but I work with a number of young ladies that we could easily make a bestselling calendar with. This specific statement was because a co worker came in today wearing the most incredible outfit today... I mean hot with a capital F. She's always been cute, but this was unbelievable, and I think I failed my EGO roll trying not to stare. Several times. And then there's the co-worker who calls herself the Patron Saint of Librarian Nymphomaniacs...

Logan D. Hurricanes
Re: Oink oink Get me an interview then? I can relocate. The good news is that we do have positions open. The bad news is that it is because two of our cutest are leaving. There's still plenty to go around, though...
