devlin1
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. Doctor Spiderbrain. (He could be called "Doc Spiderbrain" for short.) But seriously.... Professor Spiderbrain.
Christougher
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. Most of the names of my spider themed team have been taken. The only one I'd have left to add would be Fang, the dagger/katar wielding martial artist.
CrosshairCollie
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. Do you have a team name? An overall goal of the team? That might help direct things. A good team name either means something in and of itself, symbolizes something, or is an acronym. Their goals also help define the name, which in turn might help focus the names/powers of its members. By the way, remember that scorpions, mites and ticks are all related to spiders. Probably something simple like 'Team Spider' or 'Spider Squad' or possibly 'Deathweb' (the last sounds most dramatic, but I'm trying to keep the game fairly lighthearted). They're mostly a hired-muscle kind of bunch, presently under an 'exclusive' contract with a fairly well organized crime syndicate.
Mantis
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. You could always just call a female team member "Charlotte".

The Hyborian
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. I'm sorta designing one at the moment with the working title of ArachniKid. You took my answer. Actually, I knew someone years ago who ran a spiderman ripoff called "The Arachnid Kid".

Okay, how 'bout: Spinner - entangles and the like; y'know, web powers. Jumper - superleap and clinging, make him a borderline speedster Widow - your basic ninja-esque chick. Yeah, it's a rip-off, but what are you gonna do? Tarantula - Big ol' brick Daddy Long Legs - Dancer. No wait, that's Fred Astaire. Your idea is a good one. Keep it. Trapdoor - Again, good idea. Spinnerette - Again again, good idea. The Webmaster/Webmistress - the leader, of course. Alternate ideas: Scorpion - middlin' brick with poisonous blades Tick - weasely little guy with BODY drain (or something similar) Mite - Shrinkage. 'nuff said. Mike W
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. It occurred to me earlier today that WCW, for a short while, told Brad Armstrong to dress up in this ridiculous yellow and black costume(including a mask) and called him Arachnaman. Man was that lame. Bad name. Bad gimmick. Please do NOT repeat.
Kirby
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. Forget that. I had a member of the Shite ("Hand of Death) Ninja clan named Silk. Her abilities were to project chi into cloth. She can cause ribbons to cut through steal' date=' or even entangle a person with there clothing just by touching there clothed body.[/quote'] I don't understand why CC couldn't/shouldn't have that name or idea simply because you have a character with that name. Kirby
Re: Looking for Spidery names ... sort of. Can anybody think of any other good names on this motif' date=' that both relate to spiders and relate to another power concept?[/quote'] How about Horseshoe Crab - swimming, underwater breathing, and maybe blue blood. Fiddler could have sonic powers or gadgets.

For comedy, I could see this: HERO 1: The building where the transmissions are coming from is in sight. HERO 2: Any idea as to who is behind this now?
