Years ago, one of our GMs did have the galactic rebel leaders have codenames from Beatles songs. Lady Madonna, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer, etc.

 

Howabout:

 

Captain Jack: Piratical motiff, slurred speech.

Piano Man: Ability to teleport pianos from anywhere on Earth! Look out above!

Pressure: crushing telekinetic

Nocturne: darkness abilities

Billy the Kid: rootin tooting shootin

The Entertainer: mental illusions and images

Angry Young Man: Mr. Furious has nothing on this guy

Stiletto: hope those defenses are Hardened

Big Shot: Growing brick

Baby Grand: Shrinker who makes a thousand duplicates!

Modern Woman: gadgeteer

Storm Front: duh

This might be my most obscure yet!

 

 

Daddy Long Legs - A plyable stretcher.

Picture Perfect - A "Perfect Human Specimen" figher, self absorbed

Diana - Picture Perfect's opposite number. A legitimate priestes of Artemis a quasi mystical version of the above, likes to use a bow.

Ghost of Winter - Disembodied Cryokinetic

Deepfreeze - A brick who radiates a sub zero zone in his hex. Claims to come from the depths of space.

A group that calls itself "Tom's Flying Machine":

 

Red Octopus: a pulsing, blood-red horror that looks like a D&D Mind Flayer but with more tentacles; actually a Sonic Projector, with no external ears

Lather: raving psychotic HTH fighter who specializes in freeform mayhem and literally froths at the mouth

Plastic Fantastic Lover: an incubus animating a department-store mannequin; PRE attacks, EGO-based powers and out-of-this-world Seduction, Acting and Conversation skills

Volunteers: duplicator who dresses in a Salvation Army uniform; always has at least one duplicate on hand

White Rabbit: aka "Thomas", team leader and former forensic psychologist; Mental Illusionist who wears a waistcoat and likes to play with people's minds

This would be Jefferson Airplane (although Red Octopus was actually done when they were Starship).

Apeman: Superintelligent ape.

Destroyer: Mentalist who wreaks havoc with the minds of others.

Beautiful Delilah: Seducress who feeds off the desire of others. Makes her strong and tough.

Sleepwalker: A night powered martial artist

Little Miss Queen of Darkness: Demoness trapped in the form of an adorably precocious child.

Mister Pleasant: Deviant who cannot feel pain. He is always chipper and polite.

Johnny Thunder: Energy Projector

Wicked Annabella: Misress of poisons.

 

And a group of hard luck heroes called: The Tin Soldiers

 

Victoria: A British Flagsuit superbrick.

Superman: Yes that Superman, slightly de-powered, trapped in another reality.

Powerman: Nuclear powerered Energy Projector, think Firestorm, enhanced, low level superhuman physiology

20th Century Man: Gadgeteer, uses "sci-fi" inspired gadgets

The Informer: Superspy. Massive contacts and social skills. Combat light but still partakes.

Animal: Tarzan wannabe who dabbles in druidic magic, can summon creatures to aid her.

Wonderboy: Taskmaster like skill mimic. Has superhuman agility, athlete stats for the rest. Former sidekick, he's kept the name into his twenties.
