If you are still looking the correct bands for...

Mister Man – brick with a somewhat low IQ; talks in the third person

Stormkeeper – weather controller

Mannequin – shape-changing metamorph; has no real features of her own

The Dream – dream and emotion manipulating mentalist

Melting Pot – mutant mimic; takes on powers of others in his vicinity

...Its Culture Club.

Rush is correect. I thought that it would be an easy one. But let's try a villainous team.

Hammer Horror: A monstrously strong brute

Experiment IV: a psycho-sonic terrorist

Rubberband Girl: a murderous shapeshifting sociopath

The Fog: Silent and deadly 'darkness' user

Any takers?

No, I don't believe anyone has done Judas Priest yet. (And I actually made a character when I was a teen, named The Sentinel because of that song.)

Re: Name That Band Hero!

Since I've "stumped the panel" with my last two (posts #130 and #131), I'll see if I can manage to a third time.

The Confusers

Steven the Holy --- Can call up demons, has a magic bow. Frequently said to be found with...

Mary Rose --- Powers over growing things. Might possibly be a ghost.

Monsieur Du Pree --- Jewel thief, specializing in diamonds.

Charles --- gets his powers from the decay products of extremely-high-energy particles hitting the upper atmosphere. His main power is a Mind Control that confuses and bewilders people (he is the main confuser of "The Confusers").

For extra bonus points, name the single album these are all from. There's a hint about this last question in white text below. I'll put in a little spoiler space, too.

Hint: ask our neighborhood's camel.

Re: Name That Band Hero!

More, based on characters.

Johnny --- Sound-based Images; prefers "Big Band Music" whenever he can get away with it.

Mohammed --- Communications expert.

Brother Billy --- Gun expert.

Charlie --- Mind Control via drugs.

The group is known as The EDYM ("Easily Disturbed Young Men).

I'll take a shot and guess The Smashing Pumpkins

Re: Name That Band Hero!

This one will probably be difficult.

  • Open Fire -- a flame-based energy projector
  • Sidewinder -- Speedster with NND poison attack
  • Monolith -- A classic brick
  • Razor King -- a knife-in-each-hand martial artist
  • Windshear -- A telekinetic, with physically manfested sfx

Ronnie Montrose did a solo, all-instrumental CD (Speed of Sound, I think) that I think had Monolith, Windshear, and Sidewinder on it. Haven't heard that in easily 13 years. The others might be from there too, but I can't remember.

Re: Name That Band Hero!

Headless Horseman - about what you would expect

Midnight - a Stealth based character with some light and shadow control powers

The Forgotten - a sentient smaller dinosaur (Raptor mayber) that from a land that time forgot

Crazy - Woverine clone - slasher that goes berserk

Traveller - A teleport based character

The Extremist - the group leader and nasty with guns.

That's Joe Satriani. The Extremist is one of my favorite instrumental rock albums of all time.
