Re: Genre-crossover nightmares

Mulan Rouge

Diuretics by L. Ron Hubbard

Now, I know the general consensus on these boards for scientology is to tell them to blow it out their asses, but this just takes it to a whole new level.

Superman of La Mancha

Super-Size Me, Showgirls!!!

Susan Sarandon and the Banshees

My Big, Fat, Greek Lebowski (Though this one could be good if handled the right way.)

Rock and Roll Hebrew School

Antonio Banderas and Cheech Marin tackle the works of Steven King in "The Taco Stand." Soon to be followed by the sequels of "The Tapas Bar" and THEN Diuretics by L. Ron Hubbard.

Re: Genre-crossover nightmares

A musical BtVPS spoof starring Ami and Yumi doing their own theme songs and fighting demons with songs? I'd totally watch that.

Well, you know, every once in a long while I get one right.

With my luck, though, we'd get Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry instead.

The Odd Couple from La Mancha

That reminds me*. When "The Odd Couple" premiered, my Dad refused to see the movie and didn't watch the TV series for a couple of years, until I explained to him it wasn't about that kind of couple.

He died in August of '88. Sometimes I still miss him.

Sweeney Todd, Barber of Seville

Seven Days of the Vagina Monologues (Seven Days of the Condor + The Vagina Monologues)

The Muppets in Fargo (Watchable, but disturbing)

Pee Wee Herman Goes to Copland

Paradise Lost in the Valley of the Dolls (Milton is awesome. But not in Hollywood.)

Re: Genre-crossover nightmares

I've failed again.

Keep trying. You'll eventually think of something too awful to contemplate. Then you can share it with us!

The Trouble with Charlie's Angels

A private investigation agency secretly operates from a Catholic school for girls.

Good version: Made with 1970s sensibilities

Bad version: Made with 1970 porn sensibilities

Worst Version: G-rated version for pre-teens
